It's cool how he explains how art doesn't always have to mean one specific thing. How sometimes it's just for the sake of beauty. I don't think he's being pretentious; I think he just really understands his work, and appreciates the art process. This dude is awesome.
I'm a art student and I can truly say that this is a fantastic representation of artistry. I have a lot yet to learn and a lot of growing to do. I just wanted to let whoever it concerns know that I admire the art and artist at hand. I see a well educated, confident, successful artist who is a inspiration to young striving artists with determined dreams. I am one of those young dreamers. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
Really, really beautiful stuff. I don't really care all that much for decorative objects, usually objects that blend form and function appeal to me more, but wow, these are just so stunning to look at. The detail and the way the light plays with the reflections and the glass. This guy deserves to be really proud of what he's created, it's exceptional.
Back in the '80s I worked at OCLI. We were making beautiful Dichroic coatings on textured art glass. i never got a chance to see a finished piece, but I saw amazing potential. You are making amazing art! Thanks for sharing.
I cannot stress just how beautiful these things look. I've always loved sparkly things and this is no exception. seems to look better than Swarovski crystals.
OMG, imagine having any piece of jewellery (mainly rings because you can look at them) with a gorgeous stone like that.... I would never get bored staring at it!!! Absolutely beautiful! Well done, sir!
This has to be one of the most breathtaking and simply gorgeous methods of sculpture I've ever seen. I am gobsmacked at how exquisite these look (Especially the one you made for your wife!)
In my opinion, this might actually be the most beautiful pieces of art I may have ever seen, truly breathtaking. It makes me wish I could be creating works like that in my life. Absolutely amazing
I remember watching this video when it only had a couple thousand views... now it has over 1.5 million! Congratulations Jack, I'm glad you're getting the recognition you deserve
This glass work is beautiful! You, the artist has every right to be proud of your chosen field of career. When one can find a lifetime of work that they love, they are very lucky. Excellent video Jack! Thank you for sharing!
I can appreciate the time spent to make these works of art. I've been setting tile for more than 17 years and can tell you that the attention to details are everything. Thanks for sharing your passionate work :)
Your pieces are amazing! They look more beautiful than diamonds. I love the cube shaped piece that was in most of the video, but once I saw the egg shaped piece, I freaked. I've never seen anything like you work before. You deserve whatever price you charge people for your work!
I believe that by Fibonacci sequence, you mean the Golden Ratio; while there is a relationship between the two, the Fibonacci itself is a sequence of numbers as opposed to a ratio. The ratio is inherent in the divisibility of the numbers in the sequence, but the Golden Ratio's "applicability" is that of which you speak in regards to your art. Incredible pieces.
My compliments with your work Jack ... It's mesmerizing!! As a glass artist myself, much respect for all your blood sweat and tears and being a visionary!
I think I saw one of your sculptures in guardian of the galaxy...in the Broker's store in Xandar when Yondu try to dig out the buyer information from Broker
I've seen 3 of his crystal sculptures in person at the Signature Gallery in Laguna Beach they're just absolutely magnificent if I had the money I would get one.
I was lucky enough to see a large exposition of his work a few months ago in Los Angeles. It's definitely worth seeing in person. Id drive a few hours to see them again.
I'll write down your name so if one day I come into money, your work will be my first investment in art. There are paintings and sculptures, many of them nice and a few even enchanting, but this.... this is beauty frozen in time, suspended within itself. My first thought was that it looked like the first microsecond of the Big Bang, that moment before time started and everything came into existence. It looks hypnotic and I imagine looking at it must start a chain reaction of thoughts you didn't even realise you had the mind to foster. That, Jack, is art on more levels than one!
Wow, Just wow Jack, This is amazing, I have seen many beautiful Blown piece of glass, but nothing, Nothing compared to this done with cold glass, Gorgeous absolutely gorgeous.
You are and was born to be the amazing artist that you are. I love your work. I have never seen anything like this before. Just so beautiful, and I can't wait to see more of your future videos. You have got to post more of your work. How much does your pieces sell for. I would love to see you make a piece like a large square general cut and the color of pure green . That for me would be so breath taking . Just saying. Your work is so incredible .......
Great to know there are other methods and artist that create awesome glass art! Between you and Christopher Ries utilizing optical principles fascinates me. Optical principles are all about controlling light. Have you looked into a light ring cylinder that images something within your piece as well as a different far field image on a wall? I work in lighting and try to design fixtures that image a certain way without having obvious optical lens. A work of art that controls light efficiently and produces a perfect 15º beam spread or other output angles, but if you look at all sides of the piece you can't see light except at the 15º zone. People are always asking where is that light coming from. They see what's lit up but not where the light is coming from. I'm sure you have a list of challenges that will keep you going. I wonder, like with some creative people if you have hit an idea that will own you forever and may take a lifetime to complete your ultimate work? If not, consider yourself lucky! Keep up the awesome art your doing!
I don't mean to be rude, but how is this harder than hot glass? Cutting and re-glueing at your own pace seems easier to me than working with a hot material that you need to skillfully manipulate quickly.
My kids and I must see these... I cannot wait until they wake up in the morning and I can show them. My son will go nuts... He is 10 and my daughter is 7. I am looking up where I can go to see these on display.
They are truly incredible works of art. And the way you talk about them (and your trade in general) makes this video that much better. I don't use the word 'perfect' lightly, but this gets as close to it as possible...
I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life . I'd buy every piece if I had any money . I make Jewelry and what a beautiful Pendant your glass would make !!!!!
i want one of his art work displayed in my future house i would love to see it every day the colors reflection are beautifully amazing it's just beyond words how wonderful it is
i am a amiture artist and my personal theory of what art is , is something pleasing to someone that is not easily duplicated you sir are a true artist thankyou for sharing your talent and skill
I do work very similar but in wood, it took me 6 years to develope, but you can't see into it, Always wanted to make one out of glass or stone. Thanks to you now I can visualize how it would look. Your work is spectacular, thanks a gazillion for sharing.
Wonderful work! I wonder what a glass skull with your creativity would look like. O my. Staring at your work gives me the idea of several dimensions surrounding us.
Perfect and beautiful. Wish I had the money to buy the Chroma Cube. I used to do some flame work when I was younger, wish I would have pursued that. Kudos Jack!
Excellent. These are wonderous. "What does it mean to the person who bought it." That's what I always asked people about my art. Other artists seemed to find that irritating, as if I'm s'posed to explain the explaination the art just gave them.
Amazing.. awesome.. spectacular, magical~!~ thank you soo much for your love of being an artist, your level of transparency and sharing your process and the magnificence of your art ... thank you Jack Storm
Hi Jack -- it's your cousin. Never before have I commented on a UA-cam video, and unless you make another video like this, I probably never will. Your work is beautiful and fascinating and it's plain to see that it comes from your heart. You're a good man, a great husband, a great father and an exceptional artist. Love you, man. --Chris

If you can do it, you ain't bragging. I recognize his attitude. Sometimes the things you can create, you don't know how you did it.
It's amazing when a person does what he loves.
If i had the money, I would Commission a Chess set, from Chess Board to Pieces..
I just showed this to my parents, we are all just stunned by the shear beauty of your work, you sir are a true artistic genius.
I'm a art student and I can truly say that this is a fantastic representation of artistry. I have a lot yet to learn and a lot of growing to do. Now THIS is modern art.

Back in the '80s I worked at OCLI. We were making beautiful Dichroic coatings on textured art glass. i never got a chance to see a finished piece, but I saw amazing potential. You are making amazing art! Thanks for sharing.
That moment when you're blown away by your own work.

Tis quite inspiring and not even slightly surprising.
This glass work is beautiful! You, the artist has every right to be proud of your chosen field of career. When one can find a lifetime of work that they love, they are very lucky. Excellent video Jack! Thank you for sharing!
Wow!! This should be one of the OSCAR trophies!
