I've been very happy with these new Hoosiers "DR2". I had the previous version in the same size before and they worked well, but these are next level. Very little burnout required to get them to hook and never any issues with wheel hop.
update: went to track, 1st pass wasn't a full pass due to TAC module code popping up, 2nd run I don't remember but 3rd run with horrible driving he ran 10.71 @ 137mph and got kicked off track for the 9 second mile per hour. It's a convertible with a 5 point roll bar but 135mph is treated as a 9 sec run. Gotta add a bunch of crap to the car safety wise at that level, so we are just going to leave it. Also the data log made us realize we were having belt slip issues when it would hit 15 psi boost and then slip down to 13psi. A shorter belt and now see 18 psi and it stays close to that throughout the run. Fun cars.
Naw, needed a bit more power to run a 9. There was nothing left in that setup and the DA was excellent that day. Injectors and a smaller pulley would have done it.
The launch was beautiful. I love how u can hear the very quite wine of the blower. My z is the same way.
That thing is a ripper, its a beauty, and NICE job driving her.
What a beautiful beast
GOOD JOB ON ROWING THOSE GEAR'S!
Wow now that's alright.....beast mode
Damn those tires hook

@@LoneWolfSnowplowing how's the snow plowing business going?
@@wanderingdoc5075 slow so far this season, it just keeps raining
Still trying to choose between a C6 ZR1, or a C7 Zo6 when I retire in a few years. C6 ZR1 is winning so fare.
I’ve had 5 C6Z’s and a C7Z. Definitely get a ZR1
Kind of surprised the safety guys didn’t come after you for no roll bar and no fire jacket.
Ha! I've been 160MPH in a tee shirt. Welcome to the South.. Pay your money, sign the form, take your chances.
did those wheels clear the rear caliper?
Yes, no clearancing required - they are a very tight fit, though!
@@AP3D what wheels? Got a link? I'm in need of some 18s for my ZR1!
Thanks!

Nice job. Getting closer to that 9 second pass! What was the da? 60ft?
Thanks -- needs a few more mods and then it will go 9's easily. 1.514 60' DA was around +50'
Can you tell me what’s the stock Wheel HP ?
It was 550-560WHP
It's just crazy that a Tesla Plaid traps 12 mph faster.
Yeah of course it does, it has over 1020hp.
Theres a 9 in it.

E85 or premium?
93 pump with a can of Boostane to raise the effective octane -- works VERY well. Went 10.4 @ 134 on straight 93 (video on my channel).
Whp?
This setup only dyno'd ~645WHP but that was in the summer heat. Based on the trap speed I'd estimate around 680+
