Oh my god, I used to fall asleep listening to the Sunday night replay of Casey Kasem and America's top 40 on my little pink radio. Every time I hear Casey Kasem's voice it transports me back to those nights in the 80s, safe in my bed, with my cat next to me, with my sister in the next room, my parents down the hall, when all my wonderful grandparents were still alive. Before adulthood took over in the world went crazy. And now I'm bawling. I wish my kids could experience how different it was back then, how amazing and wonderful and carefree the world was. I'll NEVER stop grieving for the 80s. Never.
been a fan since 85. Some of his songs got me through some really tough times. Just bought 5 tickets today to see him in June! Can't wait =)

When I was 20 years old in 1985 when I first heard " Never Surrender" that was me.... and all my struggles. Today I'm 55 and I've never forgotten that song and still play it and the song brings back so many good memories of the 80"s.
Even shortly after I purchased the First Offense cassette years back -- I knew Corey possessed incredible depth of spirit, compassion, and empathy.. along with an unshakeable center -- It was evident in his lyrics and in his vocal delivery. His distinctive voice had power and grace at its core and was (is) always a pleasure to partake of. Corey is an intriguing and comforting soul. Best wishes Mr. Hart -- you have forwarded a sense of spiritual boundlessness to many a fan..

I'm 40 now & when I listen to them CLASSICS I listened to AS A kid it BRINGS BACK EVERYTHING!!! THE GOOSEBUMPS R STILL THERE!! ima Canadian artist . I MAKE MUSIC but my big THING is my ARTWORK. Just heard of a man whose stepfather beat him severely one day when he was 17, so he packed a duffel bag, left his house, and hitchhiked from Michigan to California to start a new life, all when he was 17. He said he remembers singing Never Surrender to himself, standing on the side of the road as he waited for someone to stop and give him a ride. He said it that song got him through a lot. It helped me get through a severe depression. I doubt Corey realizes how much this song meant to so many people. ❤️

Wouldnt say compare but Corey did what Roger Hodgson did, leave with success to raise their families, and still be able to come back to fans with open arms
Interviewing people is a skill too few have down. This channel is excellent. Too many interviewers don’t do their homework and are disrespectful to the guests. Q is always professional. If I was an artist I would give few interviews. Too much exposure with amateurs is bad press. Quality interviews are impactful.
