But one thing keep in mind that his son founded koch kingdom, not a mech kingdom. And thereafter his descendants founded koch Behar and koch hajo kingdoms . koch bihar( now known as cooch Behar) remained an ally with british India and became a princely state until accession to Indian union in 1949. But koch hajo was earlier absorbed by ahom kingdom and then later completely became a part of british colonial assam.
