You are so much fun to watch!! Totally making this cake for my husband.
I love your enthusiasm! You sound like you really enjoy what you are doing. That’s nice to see. I’m definitely going to try this. Thank you 🙏🏻
I have a ton of applesauce, so I can’t wait to make this cake. This cake bring backs memories of my grandma since she used to make spice cakes when I was a kid.
This looks amazing ,definitely making this and love your cheerfulness.😊
😊😊😊😊😊
This girl was one of the first I subscribed to on you tube. With each tutorial I watch of hers, I still want to subscribe. Amazing. Thank you❤️😊👏🏻

O m g😘😘😘😘
That looks amazing and delicious!!! I need to make that when Fall rolls around.
This looks so delish 😋 Loving your vids 💗
Love your energy ❤
I made this and it’s FANTASTIC! It’s really moist and tastes AMAZING! Husband and kid approved! And its also Great without the frosting but I decided to make it all and I wasn’t disappointed. I didn’t use all the recommended portion of powdered sugar for the frosting however. I was sampling in between mixing and I didn’t make it too sweet but I did just enough to complement with the salty caramel. So my suggestion for someone who wants to make is to Not add all sugar but add it in portions and sample before(chances are you won’t need it all)
But I still LOVE this recipe and this channel! Thank you Sugar Geek😻✌🏼
I finally got a box of spice cake mix and it is my new favorite cake. I will add applesauce to it next time I buy it.
Never had this kind of cake and seeing how you loooove this cake I really want to give it a shot :3
It’s fall!! Making this this weekend
Love your videos
Incredible from start to finish! Now I'm on a mission to find out about that Bosch...❤️
I can 2nd what Liz said about the pan goop. It's so easy to make, it releases your cakes without any issues and a bonus, you can make a lot, keep some in the frig and then freeze what you won't be using soon...
It's the best!
I need that mixer so bad! :)

I just made this cake, and it is fantastic!! It is full of flavour, moist and light even straight out of the fridge (cakes with butter usually go hard). Thanks so much for this recipe. Only change is that I need to reduce sugar.
So glad you liked it and good to know you can reduce the sugar and it still turns out great :)
I have been unable to resolve this issue with my baking. Australians don’t like very sweet cake. But reducing sugar impacts on moisture and texture. Its hard to find cake recipes with less sugar (other than Asian sponge). I wonder if there is really such a big difference in tolerance to sugar or is my technique causing my cakes to be too sweet?
@@CK8smallville Don't you guys usually bake with mud cake? When I went to Australia to teach that is what everyone used
Oh I wish I had known!! Are you coming to Australia again to teach? Sydney? Yes, chocolate mud cake is very popular here.
Yummy!!!!!😋❤❤❤I'm making this cake inst3ad of apple pie!! Thank you!
Yay!! That's a great idea!
I love your tutorials. Where did you get the sifter from? I have been trying to find one.
You crack me up 😂. I started putting apple sauce in my spice boxed cakes back in the 90’s, and YES it is good!
😘😘😘😘

Oh my look at your bump it’s growing so nicely
Love this machine you use I so want one
Ooo! Yes, me too! Where can we buy one?
How do you make your apple sauce? It looks so delicious
I made this cake and absolutely loved it, but I’m wondering if you have any tips on how to make it a bit less crumbly (slightly more dense)? Want to use it for a wedding cake order. Thanks! Love your channel and your awesome and real personality!
Yes! I had the same issue when I baked it. I thought I did something wrong. Did you ever find out how to make it more dense?
Hi! I actually checked my phone notes and found what I did. I added two egg yolks which solved the problem. It made it more dense and stable and was still delicious 😋 hope this helps!
Pls can u send a link for the mixer,am in love with the mixer you used in mixing the batter.what brand is it pls.love love
I am a novice baker. Just made this cake. It smells wonderful....fresh out of the oven as I type this. It did not rise much at all. I used a brand new box of baking soda. Is it not suppose to rise very much?
Is Apple cake and appleSAUCE cake the same?? Which among the two is the best?
Hi Liz,
Is this cake stable enough to be carved?
Awwww you are soooo beautiful. Loving all your pregnancy tutorials
Thank you! You are too sweet! Not too much longer now!
I'm sorry I was so excited about the mixer I didn't get to finish my comment and I pushed him it too soon. But I so want one of those mixtures you have. Are they available throughout the United States? Take care of you and yours and God bless
I made this yesterday and WOW! So delicious 😍. Do you think it would work as a vegan recipe if I replaced the butter with a non dairy version and maybe used a flax egg instead of a regular one, or added extra applesauce instead? My vegan daughter would love this if it would work. Thanks Liz.
I dont know for sure since I'm not an experienced vegan baker but if you do give it a try let me know how it works out!
I've been coming to your videos and been referring friends as well! Is there any way to make this like a gingerbread type flavor? Or do you have a gingerbread recipe and I'm blind and missed it haha?
Alana Perry thanks so much! I’m going to have a gingerbread cake recipe coming out in December 😄
@@SugarGeekShow yay thank you so much!!!!!
Hi, I need some advice , I made this cake twice and followed the instructions down to the grams, I also baked it in fat daddios pans and backed it on 335 for 40 minutes till the tooth pick came out clean , but in both times the cake came out oily and a little too greasy
Did anyone else have this problem ?.
Rana
Every time I watch a video, I buy a slice of cake 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
😅😅😅😅😅
Would this work for pumpkin cake? Or do you have a pumpkin spice cake recipe?
I have a pumpkin spice cake recipe already on the blog! It's so tasty!~
Hello, wondering where the caramel recipe is and can I make this into a 3 tear 8 inch cake? And how? Haha 😄 thanks
As always another great looking cake. And you're looking lovely as well. I hope you're also feeling well that baby's probably bouncing around there from all that sugar! LOL. I'm getting
Do pastry flour same as cake flour ?? Or different
It’s different :)
good question! I was just at the store two days ago. I looked for my usual box of cake flour but no dice. Then I saw a bag that said pastry flour and thought "hmm, should I get it or not"? Didn't pick it up to see what the difference is so can you please tell me/us? Thanks!
Pink Sugar... sorry for the confusion. I was asking Sugar Geek if she could explain the difference between the two flours...
I have made this cake twice and love it! The second time I had to add raisins to make my Dad happy.
Haha sounds like your dad and my dad have the same tastes :-D He prefers golden raisins though
I've made this cake before too (different recipe though) and it's sooo good!! I had to frost mine half with cream cheese and marshmallow frosting because my husband doesn't like cream cheese (crazy he is, right? lol) So for those who don't want to use cream cheese (that hurt just typing it, lol) and you don't want to use a reg buttercream frosting, marshmallow frosting works just as well... 😋
😕 I don’t have separate spices, can I use 2tsp “pumpkin pie spice”?? It has all the spices that you used in this cake 🤷♀️
Yes you definitely can :) easy button!
I take it you are not a Diabetic! Me neither, please bring me a slice about half the size of yours. Yum 😋
I hate when people make dumb jokes pretending eating sweets every now and then will do that.
Someone left the cake out in the rain
