I have made a gingerbread cake for the last 2 Thanksgivings per my daughter-in-law’s request. My recipe calls for a white chocolate mousse filling and cream cheese frosting. I garnish it with cranberries. THE CAKE IS THE BOMB! I think before the winter is over, I’ll make your recipe; I love all things meringue frosting. I bet it is TWO BOMBS! I made this cake, and it was wonderful! I made it into cupcakes and topped it with a classic cream cheese frosting and mini gingerbread man. The cake was a beautiful spiced ginger taste that really benefited from the fresh ginger. I can't wait to make more of your recipes!
Omg i HAVE to make this for the family Christmas party! Ive been trying to figure out what i would make this year (last years bake was a mixed berry cobbler that was gone in about twenty minutes) and this is just PERFECT Edit; it went great and is now sitting in the fridge waiting for the party tomorrow! The only bump in the road for me was the frosting, but i just skipped out on the meringue and went for a regular easy buttercream recipe... i added cinnamon and a bit of molasses to the icing and it was PERFECT

Sugar geek show Can I ask why you don't use sour cream in your cake recipes? I find that using sour cream makes a cake ultra moist. Just curious. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes!
Yes it’s more stable than my easy buttercream recipe and cream cheese frosting, but the most stable frostings out there are Italian meringue buttercream and American buttercream
Most of my recipes are in ounces and grams because it is more accurate to measure by weight than volume and I don’t want anyone’s cake to fail and waste ingredients. I know it’s a new challenge for many people but it really makes baking easier!
