during lockdown we built a cabin on our land to make a home gym. would highly recommend contacting your local gyms to see if they have any old equipment. We found some genuine bargains and they work as good as new!

Awesome! I love how the whole room has foam flooring throughout the entire room. I added a bar to one wall of my workout room. I just got a cheap wood rail that’s used for a stair handrail and added longer brackets to keep it off the wall a bit. Great for barre classes!

LED “flicker”, look up PWM = pulse width modulation, might explain why they do what they do 😊

Hey Monica! I’m not sure if you’re shooting on the GH5 still but you have to set your slo-mo to 20% to shoot with LEDs and have them not flicker. I know this because I shoot a lot of real estate videos too and always deal with that issue! Message me if you need help :)
Nice hack! The flicker is a phenomenon in signal processing called “aliasing” which happens when the sample rate (in this case camera frame rate) is too low to capture all the data in the oscillation rate of the thing you’re sampling (in this case the light). It’s the same reason why tires look like they’re moving backwards in car commercials :)

Flicker with halogen bulbs but never have the issue with LEDs anymore shooting at 20% slomo. I wonder why the halogens still flicker tho :/
Has the Airstream project been scrapped? Would love an update either big or small thanks.

Try adjusting your shutter speed to a lower setting to stop the LEDs from flickering

Whats the update on the Airstream? Its been 4 months since the last video. I was actually interested in its progress....
We had a room like that in our old house, we called it the Sh*t Room as it became a glorified closet. When we put our house on the market we luckily HAD to get all that stuff out of there! It happens over time so easily when you don't use it for anything else!
The light flicker is actually due to your camera's shutter speed. Try adjusting it to have the lights play back normally

the reason the LEDs are flickering is because of the frequency of LEDs typically 50-90 Hz, standard US grid frequency is 60Hz and the frequency of your cameras .... they aren't on the same frequency (speed) Go outside and film street lights and you most likely won't have that problem, go to Europe and you most likely will since their frequency are different than the US, and most camera's are developed for the US market

Please sync your shutter speed of your camera to the led speed....
All leds just flicker at a frequency we can't observe but cameras can pick it up as they can take pictures when the leds are currently off...

I believe the lights do that because it is a dslr and opens the shutter to let in light. Something about it makes it flicker- probably because it can't handle it

what happened to the trailer ?
Led's flicker on camera as you dim them. Dono how technical you want it. But led's are able to dim by turning on and off real fast. Faster then we can see but when a camera captures a frame it will sometimes catch it when they're off.

I don't understand one thing. In Europe every inch of a room is used as it bests. It's for example not weird to have a table that can fould.
But how often I see theys videos where Americans are like: Oh shit I have never used this room!
The lights flickering is most likely a frames per second thing from your recording device. Nice gym :)
