With two small children running around, it is hard for my husband and me to get to the gym. This year, we are dedicated to creating a space inside our home to work out. The only unused space available is our unfinished storage room in the basement.
For steps go to the This Old House website [www.thisoldhouse.com/e/22658291].

That's a nice looking conversion from storage space to gym.
This looks really amazing. Painting the mirrors added a ton.
I must say that's a great remodel and clear explanation!
Wow! That's looks amazing! You did a wonderful job.
Dang, what an update. Extremely well done, looks very professional
Great job. Really loved it
I definitely found some inspiration in watching this project. I may not be in the market for a home gym, but the designs and methods port to plenty of other contexts, too. Thank you!
I love the gym you did an excellent job
Wow, love love love this re-design. Great job!
WOW! Awesome job! Thanks for sharing….
I used stick on carpet squares for my gym wall which was a great surface for doing wall stretches.
Nice job! Straight-forward project with big impact!
Great ideas. It gives me hope for my project.
Very impressed, good job.
Great video with just enough detail! Superb concept and execution!
Oh wow love it.
Your basement came out great. 🤘🏼
Great ideas and techniques! This lady is a gem....always comes up with a relevant video.
Inspiration!! Great video
I think i will do this to my storage
Major upgrade 👌
I have had luck with using Gorilla tape to tie the back side of the tiles together which keeps them from popping out of place and sliding around.
I have been wondering about that. I have a mudroom that I turned into a gym and I am trying to figure out something for flooring. The floor is in a basement and is pretty uneven, even for a basement. My first concern is that the uneven floor will cause issues, and my second was that they would slide around even if the floor was even. But the tape has kept them in place for you well it sounds like?
There's a company not far from where I live that makes rubber flooring that is similar. The company is called E-core, but I'm not sure they make interlocking tiles like these.
I would have liked to seen a list of materials used in the description (like the led indirect light brackets), along with a longer look at the finished project.
Wow I never thought that was possible! This was such a contribution to the millions of videos about nothing.
I would need a fan or air circulation in that small room.
how did you get the shot at the end in the mirror without seeing the camera/operator, were they just edited out or was there some more trickery involved
great video
I think it's just a photo that they are dragging up so it looks like a shot and I believe they just did some photoshopping to remove the person taking the picture from the background. Actually if you look at the wood, it kind of looks like there's the silhouette of a person
Does anyone know whatever happened to Norm Abram?
Frugal is good 👍 if you can build it yourself. I've always had the funds to upgrade my home. But on the first project I did was replace the carpet in a bedroom. After I got a quote.
I got on U-Tube with excellent 👌 instruction. The Salesman gave me great pro advise and all item's needed it took me 3 Day's as I'm a detail guy. I saved, $2,300.00 Bucks.
Don't get me wrong throughout the year's I know what I can tackle and cannot. 😉😉😉😉😉
Never heard of the masking gel… going to file away that knowledge, seems like it will be useful in the future
Please give House One members better microphones and this segment can be full part of TOH.
That’s a funny looking kitchen. J/k, nice project 😎
Bud... it's 2022
should have used pressure treated wood against floors and walls
Looks nice. Not much of a gym without some real equipment. Power rack w/pullup bar, deadlift area and bench are minimum for any real work.
I did a wooden floor, sorry
Aye cahnt undahstahhnd ahhh waaahhrd she's sayhhhin.

Haven a wicked had time, R ya?
The UA-cam app on my iPad is actually offering a button to translate it to English 😅
sorry i cant get past the "ooo...ooo" singing it just grates me and it just repeats....
