That’s fantastic. I just love these videos of home builds. There’s a lot of talent out there and I would be very happy if I built that one. Congratulations

I drill and counter sink holes on the top side of each bearing. this allowed me to add 2 or 3 drops of oil before each days work.

how do you oil your bearings for the dogbone arms?

For now I oil them before every use. The brass bushing should last for a while. No heat build up that I can tell. Did you put Zirks fitting on the ones you make?

if those arms fail, you can replace both of those link arms with some ratchet strap. wrap it around a couple times and make a clamp to hold it down to the ram. i would suspect it even adds a little extra velocity to your hit.
look up the japanese hammers for reference.

I have seen the hammers that use a leather or heavy strap for the linkage. They work very well. The linkage I have now works well and is holding up under use.

He has a full selection of parts. Works perfect even though it is a 4" diameter instead of the 3" the plans call for

Seriously? You criticize the him for using the word armature but you cant even spell well correctly? Great job Gettosurfer on the vids and nice to follow your build.

Seriously man, an armature is located in an electric motor. Those things you are pointing to are arms! Otherwise we'll explained and nicely constructed.
