Thanks, I am getting ready to take my door panels off for the first time for Bose amp repair, so this was great timing and will be a big help. I've been intimidated by the process, knowing how brittle the plastic is going to be
I would honestly consider buying a plastic welder beforehand. It's relatively cheap and works very well at repairing any of the door card plastics. I think people underestimate that tool and how easy and cheap it is. I've handled many customer door card inserts and 99% that were broken beforehand showed signs of glue usage which never holds up long term. The plastic weld staples literally make it feel like it's one piece again.
@@ChrisLumNSX Oh cool, thanks, great tip! I was thinking I'd just have to buy the replacement pieces MITA makes if a lot of the screw tabs broke, but a plastic welder would probably be cheaper
@@ChrisLumNSX Thanks again, I definitely think you made the right call on saying to pop the weatherstripping loose instead of trying to pull the fragile tabs around it. I was able to get both my door panels off without breaking any plastic, and amazingly, between both doors, only one door tab and one Bose tab had already crumbled apart. Looks like people overtighten those screws.
@JesseOsby nice! Yes I’ve removed the door panels many times and it’s always very sketchy taking the panels out without removing the rubber trim. With the right tools, the trim is super easy to remove and makes it so much safer and nicer to remove the door panel. Glad you had the same experience!
Thanks Chris for being a big asset to the NSX community..I’ve learned so much from your videos 😊
You're welcome!!! Makes me happy to hear that.
This is great. Thank you.
You're welcome! Let me know if you have any questions!
Sub’d. Thank you for taking your time on making this video.
Thanks for the sub!

When removing the door handle trim, it’s worth taping up the handle and the section behind the handle to avoid scratching those areas.
Good tip!
That door handle part is so difficult! 😞
yeah, it's a pain and so easy to break!
