The truth is, they KNOW who did it, on at least one of the cases. They’re just running out the clock because his father was a club member and they always protect their own. Its been 47 years, and technology has come a long way. Also we have Criminologists & Behavioral Specialists now who can analyze this case & narrow down potential suspects, its not unsolvable, it just needs the right push.

At this point, all we can realistically hope for is that this monster is caught posthumously, and that perhaps there is some balancing of the accounts when we face our maker, so to speak. I don't know if there is anything resembling an afterlife, but I suspect that if there is, monsters like this will be met with only darkness and terror, while those little children were received with light, love and warmth. We can only hope as much.
