- We show you a typical day in our life in Hawaii. We usually explore the island in the weekends, but it's still different to live on a tropical island, compared to vacationing there. In this vlog, we show you what we do on our Sunday. We start out with some exercise and work in the morning. We end with a visit to an epic sunflower field in Waimanalo and a bike ride to the famous Lanikai beach in the evening. We hope you enjoy following our day in the life in Hawaii. Windermere is a nice section of Orlando. We enjoyed walking some of the lakes in that area. We lived over on the east side in Lake Nona.

Look for Akalani Loop on the inner side of that loop. That will take you up the Hillcrest neighborhood where that huge hillside home with the big blue roof. Nice way to kill the quads!

Whoops - slight correction- the outer part of the loop. The 1:30 mark is the closest to Akalani on your video.

Just discovered you guys! Hi!! :) Love your helpful content! We are planning on moving to Oahu in August and my biggest concerns is the education. 😅 We have 3 kiddos ...one going to kindergarten and 2 in middle school. I have heard the education isn’t that great out there, so I’m a tad nervous. Denny, I know you’re a teacher... what are your thoughts? I was thinking about putting them to online homeschool or possibly trying out the public school system and supplementing with additional tutoring. Would love to hear your thoughts!!! Thanks for sharing your video! Also... heheheheh you’re not only about the pony! I thought the same as you, Nikki 🤗🤣
Aloha! Congrats on your upcoming move to the island. There are a lot of concerns about the public school system in Hawaii but I think it's really dependent upon the region/neighborhood you live in and the involvement of the teachers at your school. I know some really great public elementary and middle school teachers so I would give it a shot and supplement at home if needed. Alternatively, there are lots of private and charter school options as well. I hope this helps and feel free to email us if you want a bit more information!
