He was such a great artist, his simplicity of a strong beat made his sound made it easy to dance too!!! Agree with with the fact today's music is mostly boring, and if l can't dance to it, don't like it!!! From a ver crocheted old guy stuck in the 50's 😊
The late great Jack Good said that Eddie could have really gone far with acting too. There was talk of him appearing in a John Wayne movie. Dear Ed will always remain in the land of "might have been" i'm hoping that this film called "The Boy From Bell Garden's" gets made. If anyone has any news on that, please share. Thanks.
There's not much more to be said that hasn't been said already. Keith Richards and Pete Townsend both said Eddie had the charisma and was a great showman. He was in a movie called The Girl Can't Help It in 1956 and sang Twenty Flight Rock. He was probably 15 years old when the movie was shot. I have the movie and the singers like Gene Vincent, Little Richard and The Platters plus Eddie make the film enjoyable Jayne Mansfield was just there. Someone asked what " step 4" would have been. That's easy to say. Step 4 was Eddie's final step out of his short life and career into a hopefully better place. Love him or hate him, he was one of a kind. His combed back pompadour was his trademark look..Yes he was one of a kind.
Just like Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran died very young. Such a wonderful talent that never reached his full potential, we can only wonder what could have been.
Yes. I agree. Even more talented than Elvis. And wayyyyy better musician. This guy was Jimi Hendrix's idol. Speaks volumes. And Rush, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zep, U2 and many other big names have all covered Eddie's songs.
This was the popular record on the jukebox at our local cafe some guys liked the b side cut across shorty which caused many a punch up I've given up fighting now at 75 my mother has forbidden me she was always spoiling my fun Les from the uk
Eddie Cochran - about the only subject upon which my sister and I agreed in our youth, the only difference being she cried when when he died and I didn’t. Now I’m nearly 80 and she’s nearly 82.
How sad, three of the greatest rockabilly artists: Buddy Hollie, Eddie Cochrane and Bobby Fuller all taken well before their time. How much richer our lives would have been had they fulfilled their true potentials. Rock On, True Averil
WOW! Love this guy! Can't help but cry for Eddie and fiancée. Their love for eachother and loss are heart breaking. Eddie's multi talent amazingly beautiful. His voice, guitar playing and song writing was 2nd to none. I hope she is better and has happiness. 💞
This guy was something else no phoney computer sounds just a little sound box and good rock and roll music and good songs nothing comes even close to that today. What a nice time it was in the fifties and early sixties .William Lageveen Spruce Grove Canada.
You older ones are really lucky, because we, modern ones, were born in the wrong time, where is almost no good singers left... The old music (1920s-1960s) was very good and fun, but now we have only this "music made of farts"...
great song for anyone to follow if get right know they couldt get it right if they try break rules make there own has days go by rules wasnt in book change for them
Bill Lageveen Well, said. Pure talent. The renaissance of music back then, which only comes along every blue moon. I'm just glad I grew up in those times, but sadly Eddie was killed on our roads. He would have been another Elvis otherwise. Love the guy.
EDDIE COCHRAN IS ROCK AND ROLL....EVEN LONG AFTER HIS DEATH..... AT HIS YOUNG AGE OF 22 YEARS OLD HE WROTE ALREADY COUPLE OF HUNDREDS SONG ! ....... RIP EDDIE
He died when the Ford (Zodiac) he was in (back seat, )no safety belts those days,he was thrown out and he died after damage to his head, a horrible way to go,he was an ACE vocalist a guitarist,no gimmicks just talent. Saw him around that time on a USAF Airforce Base ALconbury Huntingdonshire (now Cambridgeshire). Terry Offord.
@@terryofford4977 The original account of Eddie's death said he was in the backseat of a limo asleep. His girlfriend was also there. Gene Vincent was in the front. A truck hit the limo and it hit a concrete lamp post. Eddie had massive injuries. Other later accounts say he fell out of the limo. All that's certain is he died in the hospital and the 19 year old driver was at fault. Other accounts have stated other things but this was the original account from 1960.
Today, April 17. 2018, it is 68 year since this great artist died. Rest in Peace, Eddie, and Rock on with Fats, Elvis, Buddy and all the other in Rock Heaven.
Brings back many memories of the 1960s - a wonderful singer and song! The year I formed my first my first rock group, and found my first girlfriend - great memories!

@@oldbeatpeteJust love You Tube for bringing back the old Rock and Roll. There is nothing like it to bring back memories and make you want to dance.
Eddie Cochran had everything, charisma, great song writing and guitar skills, attitude and originality. What a great talent!

You are a legend sir
Eddie Cochron was like so many other great stars taken from us far too young
Wir waren jung, verliebt und glücklich, was gab es Schöneres, als dieser Musik zu zuhören und zu tanzen. Danke für diese schönen Erinnerungen.
Just like Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran died very young. Such a wonderful talent that never reached his full potential, we can only wonder what could have been.
One of the greatest songs ever written and beautifully performed.
Only the good die young 😢😢😢 A fan from France 🇲🇫
I have only recently found him at 74 years. He is now number one of my all time favourites, amazing talent for his age
