I wouldn't say rock and roll would be totally different. Gene Vincent lived a decade after the crash that killed Cochran, but his influence never extended beyond his late 50s/early 60s heyday. Even Chuck Berry didn't have much of an impact on popular music after the early 60s and he died just 3 years ago. In fact, I can't think of any early pioneers of rock who went on to be highly influential for many years after. Elvis came closest having lots of hits, but did Burning Love and Suspicion Minds really change the course of music in any significant way? I'd say no. Don't get me wrong. Maybe Cochran's career would have been different. We'll never know. But judging by his contemporaries, I'd consider it unlikely.

♤ R'N'R never die ♤
JoM0BX yeah. Same with Buddy Holly.

That guitar looks like a gretch I love those. He was a rockabilly rebel Thanks for sharing. Glennis
Man he was great, R.I.P. Eddie
Wow! That orange stain G6120 Gretsch guitar is a work of art. Can't say that they don't make 'em like that anymore, because they still so.
Eddie, only 17 (or 18) and already in the major league of RnRoll. I'm lost of words.
Filmed in mid 1956. Eddie wouldn't be quite 18 yet.
He has a really mature and masculine voice...makes me remember of a young rick Astley (obviously in terms of voice tone)
Thanks for restoring Eddie’s guitar solo.
What a great trak.
No wonder Montrose covered it. Slight adjusting of course.
Old bit but Eddie C was an early modder of guitars.
Gretsch 6120 with a Gibson P 90 at the neck.
RIP, Eddie Cochran....."C'mon Everybody". Humble Pie.
Thank you Glen, great point! 👏👊👍
There are two things which are eternally young, Greek gods and rock n roll stars who have died too early. Rest in peace Eddie.
