Nice touch - and well captured - to add the "10A" shedcode & "Carnforth" Depot Plaque to the 33. I guess the 33s were underrated, but they showed their versatility when they eventually ventured out of the Southern Region.
@LeslieGilpinRailways I used to see them at Cardiff back in the day when I knew very little about "real locos". Only later did I realise their history.
Nice surprise seeing the class 33 instead of Tangmere, after hearing about the latest failure I wonder if the rough sound you noticed a few weeks ago was the start of the problem. Sad to hear the last Royal Mail has run as well and nothing special about it.
I think the Tangmere problem from yesterday is totally separate but may be wrong. That and the last mails I shot coming up once I get around my backlog lol. Thanks!
Great variety, but overwhelmed by the end of those brilliant Royal Mail trains. You did get a nice, sunny catch of it in the middle. Cows were not impressed with the TPEs, though. lol
Nice video Les, great day to be filing and nice to have a chat with you on the day, shame it wasn't tangmere though, perhaps the rest of this week will bring some steam.
Great video Les , was told the evening before that no Tangmere but the plan was to fetch 44871 back but that suffered problems hence my contact told me the Crompton would be leading.
nice video Les some awesome footage there matey well done , nice to see a Crompton for a change , can't remember last tome a saw one thanks for sharing Les take care a t b Syd👍 enjoyed it 😃
Another interesting Video. Not heard anything new on the Mail trains. However I did look at Google Earth for the almost (then) completed terminal in Daventry, actually on the Crick Business park. An interesting installation including Traverser. Totally laid out for rail operations. No overheads on that part of the site and trains are shunted over the A5 using the site 08
Yes they usually run overnight but apparent some infrequent line closures around Chirk has restricted the number of trains in and out of the bord mill this week
An electrical fault on a steam engine. Ha what a mad world. Notice rail head treatment trains gone read for action. Farms round Carlisle getting late silage crop to feed your bovine train watching fans for the winter.
Lovely video as always Les, great to see the 33, and the lovely scenery!
The 33 was a pleasant surprise. Thanks as ever

I only really knew them as efficient workhorses on the Cardiff to Crewe and to Portsmouth services. It was welcome

That 33 Les, what a magnificent beast!
It was a welcome sight for sure

Glad you enjoyed it. The cows were curious but more interested in the bull with them!

Next time!

I only found out whilst waiting at Carlisle. To be honest I was not disappointed
Great footage Les channel 4 at half 8 tonite abandoned railway's from above 👍
Thanks 👍
Aww pity they didn't turn the 33 so that it could be leading going back. Nice to see all the same. Good one Leslie ...all the best.
so used to the trains going for turning, it seemed odd not doing so!
nice video Les some awesome footage there matey well done , nice to see a Crompton for a change , can't remember last tome a saw one
thanks for sharing Les take care a t b Syd👍 enjoyed it 😃
Thanks 👍
Another fantastic video les & I like the class 33 in maroon
Many thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
6:32I like the depot plaque they've invented for Carnforth, presumably representing the famous coaling plant
I thought that too. Maybe they could use the plaque more

Thanks David. The mail trains ended without any announcement yesterday 20th September.
Nice to see a Crompton. Those bodysides could do with a few more dents in them.
I dont know, it seemed well dented in the sunlight!
Alot of weeds at Carlisle !! Enjoyed the trains though, thankyou
Not as bad as they were last year! Thanks
Thanx , Les ....... a rake of EMPTIES from Chirk logs ......
Yes they usually run overnight but apparent some infrequent line closures around Chirk has restricted the number of trains in and out of the bord mill this week
Can anyone tell me what the symbol on the diamond plate on the left, front of the class 33 means? Thanks
Its an imitation of the old BR Railfreight Sector emblems. West Coast have designed the plaque around the coaling plant at Carnforth!

It seems odd when farmers have hay straw and silage to collect. Thanks for watching
Avanti west coast is in train sim world 5 game now
