Man I feel like a teenager again when I watch this. I never missed a Pantera show in the 90s. Even met them at Tower records during a meet and greet after the Trendkill album dropped.
Detroit? I saw Dime a a meet and greet and the full band another time. We are so blessed to have seen them in their prime. Never ever saw a band that could top a Pantera show in the 90s

How many ignorant people in the comments discrediting zakk's work as if they were the best sound technicians in the world, zakk is there not only because he is very good, He was also like a brother to Dime, there was no one else who could be there if it wasn't him, apart from that he never tried to be Dime, he maintains his essence by paying a worthy tribute to his brothers

As a lifelong pantera fan since then 80s, it’s funny reading these ignorant comments like “drummer sucks or guitarist isn’t dimebag”. Well I love and actually hung out with both Darrell and Vince. Both still y favorite duo of all time. But both Charlie Benante and Zaak are just as good, if not better at their craft. I get it, they don’t sound like the OG pantera, but they shouldn’t. They are sounding just enough like them and putting their own style on it. Enjoy the music because without these 2 we wouldn’t be able to see these great songs live.
People want to hear the original Pantera sounds.

I swear every show i watch of them they get tighter and tighter. Im so fucking excited to see them in July. Zakk has definitely improved with the solos and playing more dime style than his own. It gives me chills watching this. Dime would be fucking proud and charle is fucking kicking ass on the drums.

Arguably the greatest metal band of all time, Pantera is forever! RIP Dime/Vin. You guys are sorely missed... While it's sad that they're gone, it is wonderful to hear these songs live again.
Especially with the original Rex Brown who joined only this year. Great respect for him.

Beautiful tribute to the one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all times! As for me - Pantera is the greatest heavy metal band of them all. RIP legendary brothers! I am glad this music is played live once again, some official bluray/dvd would be nice.

I don’t get the criticism. Can’t we just enjoy it for what it is? Never got to see PANTERA live but I think this is cool to keep it going for this generation. Phil still sounds great especially compared to a lot of the other singers from that era still touring.
Some peple are still angry about what happened between Phil and The Brothers and the tragedies which followed and this show brings up memories. I can understand them.
First off your a fan and have no idea what really goes on or hear the mistakes or the timing so don't take it personal Pantera will always be legendary and Zakk and Charlie are doing a fine job
I don't think people are so much complaining as observing... it's just not Pantera. I agree it's probably as good as we're going to get and I also agree that they're doing a fine respectable job... Dime would be proud! Vinny... yeah well probably not so much but you can't have everything.

@@ihateu1979 That's a popular technique to avoid the sort of "Shame" if you will of not being able to sing it. To be fair some artists did it even in their prime to save their vocal chords. The biggest example of this is BON JOVI in "LIVING ON A PRAYER" Every time he would point the mic to the crowd to sing the hard melodic hook part, and Ricthie would sing the key change at the end. For me it kinda ruins it, I am here to hear you sing it, not the crowd, they crowd can still sing and get involved but sing with them don't have them sing for you.

To be able to enjoy this music live in 23 is just priceless. I have been their biggest fan since CFH and I would have loved to have the brothers on stage... but the music itself is music made for live audience and I love them for making it happen.
I had the opportunity to attend a PanterA concert 30 years ago, and I have to tell you, Dime and Vinnie were great that night!
In my opinion, they can't be compared.
But, on the other hand, I do need to recognize how well Zakk and Charlie have been capable of learning the band's songs, especially the latter.

This band was such a powerhouse at their peak. Not even the great machine of Metallica could match them imo.
Yeah I remember this in real time as well.
They were constantly on Head Bangers Ball show in MTV back in the days along with Sepultura.
Tighter than Metallica, they were the teachers, Pantera were the students that became the masters

Dime was murdered on my 10th birthday. I'm just happy I have a chance to hear these songs live, regardless of it not being the orignal lineup. Thankful to finally see my favorite band live in a couple of week!

Drove the Pantera ticket ride 6 times plus Down and Superjoint only months apart in Hollywood CA. back in 97-2003. Slayer, Mercyfull Fate, Sepultura and Soulfly..Fear Factory, Machine head, COC and even Michael Sweet on Sunset Strip between the Pantera yrs.

Zakk's guitar tone doesn't allow for any chunky palm muted sounds. Sounds floppy and muddy much of the time. Gain and noise gate disharmony probably. Eternal respect to Rex, so reliable and accurate.
