I speak from my own old experience on old school music bruh. There is no separation of memories, emotion and feelings you always get from finding it and listening to it.
No artist today ( Sorry Bey, Taylor) can touch this man or even come close to the glorious Lisa Fisher, the voice of a generation he is sorely missed and will be remembered for eternity..
I remember being at this show in Baltimore when I was 20 yrs old and Ms. Lisa Fischer sang...I told my dad she should make a solo album and a year later, she did it! Mr. Vandross had the best working with him.
I've been trying to find this song for the past 3yrs.. finally caught it on the radio yesterday.. fast forward to me enjoying it now, and I'm just realizing how she killed it @ the 4min mark.. OMG ! This song is so 🔥
@@jasonnoble3874 The tragedy and frustration is so many of Lisa Fischer’s best performances are only available on amateur UA-cam videos. OK, we know she has an aversion to the recording industry but why can’t a private label (financed by her fans?) record her? When we do get a professionally recorded effort such as the Albert Hall concert, in memory of Nina Simone, the results are astonishing.
This song is hard enough to sing at the tempo on the album. He’s singing it faster and not missing a beat with finishing his notes. Wild. Knowing how to adjust. Such a polished voice
@Eric K @LisaFisher, yes ... effortlessly. She is so talented. Probably one of the best vocalist ever. Such control, flawless transitions, pitch perfect.
@malik redding Lisa Fischer was one of Luther's backup singers and had a solo album...her most famous song is "How Can I Ease The Pain?" She won a Grammy for it. Her voice is amazing! One of my favorites by her is "The Last Goodbye."

+TJ Miles Yeah exactly! I've been a staunch advocate for Lisa for decades now (since 1984). It's wonderful she's gotten the recognition after so many years in the industry thanks to "20 Feet From Stardom"! Of course us geeks knew of her WAY before that and that in itself is sweet, we always knew she was talented and powerful to say the least. Listen to Brass Construction's 1985 single "Give And Take" ;)

Those additional background singers are who really make the other three sound good. Paulette McWilliams, Tawatha Agee, and Cindy Michelle, they're awesome!
@Joyce Williams I saw Paulette McWilliams live at an outdoor concert in Los Angeles. Fantastic singer. Also love her lead vocals on Quincy Jones' Mellow Madness song and album.
Not only was he a great musician he, unlike so many today, was unafraid to have musicians his equal on the stage with him. Anyone unafraid to take on Liza Fisher knowing how brilliant she was, knew more about music than about their own ego.
OMG I saw this show in Birmingham, UK ! I remember the backing singers & the outfits, we were 5 rows from the stage !! I have never forgotten it and still miss him today. No one sang or has ever sung like Luther Vandross !!
Brilliant. Was at this concert. So sad that he’s not longer with us. The best singer in my opinion and great backing singers. Thank you Luther We miss you. 😢
I am so glad i got to see Luther.....twice, Natalie Cole once, Ray Charles twice, once in Chicago once in Vegas, Rick James once, the Jacksons, in Chicago, Nancy Wilson and Phyllis Hyman and Kenny Rogers in Vegas. I have one regret, that I didn't get to see Frank Sinatra.

Italian/American studio band group Change the brainchild of Jacques Petrus & Mauro Malavasi debuted with The Glow Of Love album in 1980 & the 2nd single Searching blew up big time, this also got everyone asking who the voice was on the record? this was the day the world at last took notice of LUTHER VANDROSS

the chemistry between Luther and Lisa is so clear to see
Yes I saw the thing Lisa fisher is gorgeous and has talent all by herself that why luther picked her.
Lisa makes steel melt 😳😂my goodness the voice and the face 🤩🥳

My mother LOVED Luther Vandross and Marvin Gaye. And i know his music because of her
Voices like this don't exists anymore.
SANG IT, MISS LISA! I love how Luther gave her the spotlight. What a voice!
The Goat And His Background Singers Are The Best
We lost him way too soon. No one today comes close to what Luther gave us. Thankfully, we have his music to keep his memory alive.
facts
luther had the best background singers and tightest musicians in life!
+passion4posh that is so true! Just imagine having that behind you live. Bliss! Not like today unfortunately :(
