After enjoying your videos for a while, I decided to join the party and bought me the roscoe 9 and now I'm the happiest man alive, so a huge thanks matty.

Fat tire bikes are more for winter riding after a snowfall or on loose sandy beaches. The fat tires don’t sink into the sand or snow like regular mtb tires would.

In MN, a fat bike is for winter single track in the snow.

I also have a home in Mn. Fat biking in the snow is incredible! However i also have a home in Northern Indiana near Lake Michigan and the sand dunes are also super fun with a fat bike. Sand and snow is where fat bike thrive!

I got my Trek Farley fat tire for racing in the snow. The Snow Crown series in WI has races on golf courses to doubletrack to biathlon training facilities. It is a great time! I also pack a trail in the school forest and ride around that.

People hate on fat bikes but with places with 4 seasons and you’re short on money it can be your only bike. Swap in 3.0’s or 3.8 for the summer and you can ride any trail you want

Since ebikes are more common the fatbike has regained some coolness factor, efatbike tho, still a bit geeky 😂

It's official, Matty, you now have too many bikes. You can start a bike tour company with all those! I'd leave the Ozark Trail bike alone, the whole point of it is that it's decent for cheap out of the box, if you start putting a bunch of upgraded components on it you kind of lose that. I'd say with the fat bike, take it the same places you like to ride the rigid bikes, see how you like it there. They have the benefit of a little give in the tires that provide a bit of suspension/comfort. In the end, it's a bike! BTW, you're that guy that companies just send expensive bikes to, congratulations!

That's also my modest opinion on upgrading entry level bikes, on the other hand for some people upgrading might be more interesting than taking 48 payments at 10% interest 😅

I just ordered another round of these hooks for the shop! Seeing how you got organized has me inspired to get around to my shop tour vid. #UA-camProcrastination LOL. Can't wait for Trestle, we are hitting the drop!

you should make a video about the ozark trail 29" mtb. I've been biking for 5 years now but my brother is just getting in to it. We got him the ozark trail mtb and he loves it. So far he's rode it with me at hall ranch and betasso! I'd love to see a video about it, also a new Valmont video would be sick!
Some day I'll see you on the trails! Every video I think, "oh I love that place, I ride there all the time"!
    Keep up the good work.

Fat biking packed snow trails is other worldly. When the conditions come together it’s the smoothest riding anywhere. Like riding on a hardwood floor.
I also love my Fatbike on regular season trails just as much as my full suspension. Get the tire pressure dialed and it’s a blast. I’ll clean sections that trouble me on a regular bike and lets me ride different lines without the attitude of hammering.

The fat bike is for snow! Staunton State Park up 285 a short drive, grooms the trails for snow biking!

Winter ❄️ fat bike find some mellow snowmobiling trails not too steep, needs packed snow - ⛄️ not powder. Or as a winter trail bike in frost or mud

Fat bikes can do anything. They are good with small bump compliance and, like the others said, snow and sand. Some of the trail systems in MN have minimum tire width, 4" usually ,for the winter.

Constant flats may be due to tire problem or a wheel problem. The tire might have some rot/slash/hole that is causing flats. The wheel might have a loose spoke puncturing tubes or letting air out of the sytem while you're rolling.

Fatbikes are great for all the open space or paths in winter. If its gravel, they usually arent plowed and will get packed from people walking. Also great for poor conditions, as they dont leave ruts like a normal mtb.

fat bikes ride anywhere Matty, take it out! It's fun on rough tech, makes it seems easy. Sandy soils, mud, no probs. Snow in a few more months

I live on Long Island NY, and ride my fat bike in the beach and in the snow with my 27.5 x 4.5 tires. In the summer when the beaches are crowded, I put 27.5 x 3.8 tires on and trail ride. My summertime fat bike doubles as my hard tail.

Nice fleet! So, the air pressure problem with the Thunder could be a rim issue. Some rims just don't have a good seal.

At least you have a bike specific room.
My entire apartment is under 400 square feet, and I have 6 bikes. Definitely crowded, almost always one bike in the kitchen on the work stand.

Just an idea. Vid title; Re-creating Alex & Seth's Fort Laud to Key West Bike Packing Adventure.
You'll need a partner, at least for filming. The gravel bike, with maybe some beefier tires would be perfect. And honestly, I think Seth and Alex should have re-done that adventure/vid a couple years after, but I'm sure Seth is over such an idea by now.
It would take some training to make it easy, but the title alone could get you a million views.

Check out Evans MTB Saga, the king of needing a specific bike for every trail he rides. I guess he finally ran out of money buying bikes and now he literally swaps out parts based on where he rides. F'n ridiculous.
