There is no parity on this puzzle, you've just placed pieces wrong. If you look more carefully then you'll see your mistake. The second 'parity' you're referring to is most likely just centre rotation, which is not a parity either

Actually there is no parity error. It happens when you mix up 2 of the very similar triangle pieces and it doesn't work. They are so similar that on my first solve, I used the wrong one and got what you think is a parity. You just have to pay lots of attention.
Lol, there's no parity, you just gotta put in the corners correctly the first time. You can do this by feeling the edge piece the corner is connected to and see if it's level with it. Also, I was confused when you said it was like a picture cube at first, but now that I have one, I can see why you would say that. To me, it reminds me of a Fisher cube
