You have some great production value. I am surprised you do not have more subscribers.
Saw this on shopee, and started searching on youtube for info.. Nice to find video from local.. Good jod..
thank you m8, almost no one review this cheap product. most reviewer just like to review expensive things
Where's the fun in reviewing expensive stuff? The fun is in the cheaper more niche stuff!
Thank you Yang, most helpful review. Seen this cooler on newegg and was wondering how well it faired.
i was searching so long for a watercooling system compatible with my 2060s ! now i have it . Great video M8
what about cooling the rams ?
nice video, btw where i should connect the cooler conector? it is need connect from fan vga port or just connect the cooler to motherboard? thank you
Hi great video, I myself is on the fence of kraken g12 and the ID-Cooling too.
Anyway as per most gfx you might want to remount the graphics card cooler with new thermal paste and thermal pads (which are cheap) to see if it’s return to near new temps. As Lots of times at 4th - 5th year mark those wear out or harden.
Cheers, Unfortunately the temps I was getting was already a remount with a fresh coat of MX-4
VGA AIO isn't popular here in the Philippines which I honestly don't get. Thanks to your review, I'm ready to spread the gains of water cooling the gpu to my mates. Thanks!!
Great video quality! Keep it up
This worked fantastic! From 80 c down to 55 c at high settings for COD BO4.
Where di you get yours
Jose Diaz can buy from taobao about 50sgd
what about vrams temp ?
@@prince54yt u can stick the included mini heatsinks on them
Awesome video keep them coming 😎
You can buy the parts separately from ID Cooling's Aliexpress store if you want build a custom loop using AIO parts. I am building my own Hunter Duet equivalent with their parts, a full copper radiator (or two depending on if I change case from a Cougar QBX) with the addition of a reservoir that replaces a 92mm fan from SavantPC.
Super interesting find. The parts look older and visually different and the overall cost seems to be higher though, but if someone didn't mind then it would be a great option
@@TechRodent The gpu block and fan I had picked up last year on eBay (thought it was the whole unit but the price was so good I bought two). It wasn't until I built a Ryzen mITX a couple of months ago I decided to use them. The gpu pump is an older 3-pin style, but the CPU pump is a sata connector like yours (through out my plans a little as all the other connectors I planned to use are molex, but just gives me more reason to custom cable the whole thing). It will be a more expensive path than regular AIO, but still cheaper than regular custom loop path.
How loud would you say the pump is by itself?
They're definitely audible in a perfectly silent room, but among like the standard case fan noise and what not I wouldn't say it's that big of a deal.
@@TechRodent I had been hoping to lower the rpm either through fan curve or using a fan controller, if it does annoy me I might just need to make adapter as I don't really want to try to rewire the pump directly. Thankfully I have picked up some cheap sata-molex adapters that I can cut and rewire, so glad I wasn't planning to see into my case.
Probably just needed new thermal paste. My 980ti with a similar cooler had dried up thermal paste and was constantly in the high 80s.
thanks for this vid review, get my solution also on my asrock challenger 5500 xt noisy fans on fullload, finally silent and cooled gpu while playing. really must have if u live in asia the weather really affect pc components
do you know if it is possible to rotate the pump around for better fitting?
Great video, nice content, btw. Do you consider the tubes flexible?
Definitely, they're quite flexible
Replaced tubing with clear tubing and added a radiator to this model. Also for a while there before upgrading gpu, combined with a 2nd cpu unit in one loop.
had similar issue recently, turns out the thermal paste was literally CAKED on the GPU, it has hard, gunky, and therefore not able to transfer the heat from the chip over to the copper heatsinks. So i replaced the thermal paste with fresh thermal paste and the issue clearly went away.... however I'm still looking to add this cooler to maintain a lower temp for extensive gaming sessions.....
will it fit to rx 570? gigabyte aorus
thanks!
does the aio come with thermal paste and/or a thermal applicator inside the box?
Very very high quality video and was really helpful now, when one of my fans is dying on my inno3d 1080ti. A replacement pair of wents would cost 30€, no warranty included. This AIO solution is about 55€ with 2 years of warranty so it's really a no brainer, I'm going for the AIO. Thanks, man!
Im in the same exact situation.... needless to say the cooler just arrived and even after not sleeping for 24 hours prior I stayed up to install it and I STILL GET 90 DEGREES CELSIUS ON THIS CARD BEFORE AND AFTER LOOSENING/TIGHTENING the backplate to the waterblock... I also put plenty of thermal paste on... nothing...
Check your contact and make sure the pump is running. Someone sounds very wrong with yours
@@bobnorman3094 I'd check the contact if I were you first. I've seen a video by LinusTechTips (!) where Linus messed up the installation and the contact was off. If not that, then yes, check the voltage for the pump. I run mine with 6V instead of 12V. It's plenty of flow, quieter, and lengthens the life expectancy. If the pump is dead, then I'm sure you can return it.
@@Menthix How do I change the amount of voltage applied? Is there any sort of software control tor all this or is it based on hardware fan headers for example? I definitely noticed how insanely loud the pump was in comparison to my cards old 100% fans and its dying fan bearing sound... I had planned on checking the contact after waking up... just sad it wasnt smooth sailing as it probably shouldve been. You guys used 8 washers in total, 4 on each side of the standoffs as well as below the T-4 Nuts? (are these new? you just reused your old gpus spring loaded nuts?) This is product was labeled brand new and everything was unopened and in pristine condition. There was a QC passed sticker on it as well. Thx for the help guys really appreciate it.
@@Menthix Did you have to remove the original vrm heatsink that attaches to and threads in place the backplate for it to make contact??
Sir, may i ask? where you put fan cable?
you know if is compatible with the msi 570 xt armor? I was thinking in the nzxt g12 too but is much more expensive :/
any idea if galax 1070 mini would fit in these? ty!
is it possible to use that on RTX 2070 super ventus?

Ordered one from shopee! The 120VGA for my RX580 coz it run very hot 89c during gaming. Its an AMD HIS RX580 XTR. Waiting this to arrive and install it :D Thanks for the review!
That seems to be the main issue with this product. It is comeing from China and takes forever to get here. I have contemplated getting a few and selling them here. Especially if one of the bigger youtubers gets a hold of this cooler.
@@da133993 Mine arrived yesterday! From China
@@AlexandreNarbert I have been waiting 12 days now.
So how is the temperature of your gpu after installing this cooler?

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm hunting something to tame the Vega's fire breath...

He mentioned it earlier in the vid. One for power and one to the cpu pin.
Just wanted to ask if it would work on a 1080 seahawk ek
does this fit to MSI vega 56 Airboost?

can i use it on sapphire nitro rx470?
Good review tuan. Can i have the taobao link?
on 7:00 i can see your MOS is on the left? even though the fan is on the right and on the website it says for GPU with the mos on the right? but your mos didn't overheat so is it ok for me to use a GPU wtih a mos on the left?
if you have good airflow, then I don't see much of a problem. also, you can get 120mm fan mounts that fit in pcie slots to blow air onto your entire card if you so desire.
I'm getting this one but the 240VGA one , good review ! the small heatsink is included too? my card is also MSI , Gtx1080Ti , mounting should be same right ?
It should be! I am going to move to an MSI GTX 1080 Armor and I'll do a follow-up with that

Mi friend, I love this video, but I have some questions:
Where do you connect the wire of the pomp and the wire of the ventilator? To the GPU or to the motherboard?
Thank you for all 😉
I connect it either to the motherboard or direct to the PSU
@@TechRodent And do you still having variation of the RPM on the ventilator that refrigerate the radiator?
@@TechRodentJust to clarificate:
Is this correct?
-Radiator ventilator: connected to the GPU
-Pomp: connected to the motherboard
-Ventilator near pomp (that is on the GPU): connected to the motherboard
Thanks a lot for your time

hello tech rodent so i now have my frostflow 120vga cooler in and i wanted to ask are you using your raditor as a intake or exhaust for cooler temperatures?
I'm using it as exhaust, so that it doesn't pump hot GPU air back into the system.
@@TechRodent oh ok i did notice when you run it as a intake it does bring your gpu temps down some and cools down quicker as well.
i have a founders edition 1080 what i did was change termalpaste and use msi afterburner to fan map it its alright at 67 c max
Hi, just a suggestion. The new GTX 1650 super and GTX 1660 super is a a lot cheaper for the ASUS Phoenix model. But of course their cooling solution suck; ramping up to 83-86 degree Celsius on PUBG (high settings). Perhaps you can have a try on that. The main reason for this GPU Model is first, it’s cheapest amongst other brands and second, it’s a compact factor. I wonder how would this ID Cooling fit. Anyway, do let us know the total price and how worth it gets! Cheers! Great video!
will a gtx1650 work with the ID- cooling Frostflow or the Nzxt G12?
@@vitabudi unfortunately no. The orientation of the GPU chip, mosfets, VRM, on the PCB are different from the rest. You can install them, but it only cools the gpu chipset.
Usually the cheaper GPU AIB models not only have an inferior cooler but also an inferior PCB with poor VRM and capacitators. I heard good things about the MSI ventus still using the same quality PCB as their premium Gaming X model but that might change in future. Lastly, I am not too sure on the lifespan of a budget AIO. I think that the pump will likely fail after 5 years of usage.
I ended up changing GPU sooner than the pump died, in fact my unit is still working perfectly, but it's unfortunate that this unit is discontinued.
With new GPUs now having REALLY HOT vrams and power delivery though, this is where a solution like this isn't really that great for something like the new RTX 30 series.
Howzit this looks great - I have a msi radeon HD7970 twin force 3 that makes more noise then a V8 - I want to Mount the Kraken G12 to it with a stock cooler but its limited - Will this work ?
If you have a ruler of sorts and can see the spacing between the screws from their centers, you can see if it's listed as one of the supported screw mounting holes; I'm quite sure it can, but I don't have anything to really back that up.
Have you got an update for 10 months use? Any leaks, problems, annoying bits? Thanks for a fab video
You can check out the latest video, I'm using it on a RX 5700 to test, but the skinny of it is that it's still working, and I can't really think of anything bad to say about it? I've taken it with me from a 970 to a 1080 Ti to an AMD Radeon RX 5700 (albeit temporarily)
@@TechRodent I'm not trying to be "that guy" but isn't the fan supposed to mount over the VRMs where you put the heatsink?

may i know how many mm is the built in fan beside the pump?
92x15mm on amazon
will it fit a 1080ti?
How is it after 2years? Is the pump working fine? That is my only worry for aio.
It's still working fine for me, and still works as if it were new.
YMMV, but there doesn't seem to be any noticeable issues thus far.
dude i have gtx 1060 zotac mini, dan holly the full load temp is 82, do you think this cooler will fit on my card.

It shouldn't have issues with the 1060
Great video! I want my RTX 2070 to run cooler I may try this!
Did you?
Yea, let us know!
I did. I ended up using my 2070 with this setup but used different mounting screws to get a tight fit on the gpu. Takes 7+C off high temp playing 100fps @ 2k vs. stock.
Does it fit rtx 2060? Thanks
Can you tell me how to control fan speed on this thing ?
You can control the fan speed on the radiator if you plug it into a pwm header. The same if you plug the fan header on the GPU into the motherboard
Can it fit easily for the 1070ti mini zotac?
And also does this cooler voids the gpu original warranty?
Any changes to o the cooler will always void warranty, but usually they can't tell if you swap it back before pushing it in for warranty.
You'd have to check for the clearance, but from what I know, it should.
I have it installed on my Zotac 1080 Ti now after all
@@TechRodent how does it cool the 1080ti so far?
I have a follow up video in which I talked about this cooler on the 1080 Ti, it really didn't disappoint!
How long have u been using it bro? Any problems? I saw quite a lot of reviews of it getting failed after about 8 months to 1 year of usage. Been considering to get it for my 1080ti blower.
I've been using it for a few months, I can't comment on how lasting it is just yet

Still perfectly fine, runs about 24/7 for me, only goes off when I sleep
@@TechRodent wow!!
nice to hear that
Any problems after these months? Are the pumps on these very reliable if bled properly?
No issues so far, I don't see why they won't be reliable.
@@TechRodent Its just that usually when I look at cheaper cooling setups the reviews are not very stellar. Personally I just cant believe the price! Not to mention ID-Cool's Hunter Duet! Which is this but with a CPU block daisy chained to the GPU block. That thing is about $110 on Ebay! It really is a crime that they don't sell more of this stuff in western markets!
@@theq4602 hahhaah they can't because asetek holds a patent regarding any AIOs with pumps in the block itself :/
Do you hook the fan controller from the pump to the GPU fan pins?
You'll need to have an adapter if you want to fit the fan controller onto the GPU. I didn't do it but it's possible.
@@TechRodent just made. Me curious I have it connected to a fan channel but the fan never spins up and gpu hit 80 while running a game.
Fans might not spin up if it's not connected properly to the GPU. In my cases, I have the GPU radiator fan running at about a 70% with the VRM fans at 100%

Love how the VRM cooling fan cools literally everything EXCEPT the VRM on this particular card, because it's on the left of the GPU itself, not the right. If you didn't happen to have case fans underneath the GPU as shown at 9:48 you probably would've killed the cards VRM already. If you were able to mount the fan bracket to the pump block so that it could be on either side of the GPU, it would be a MUCH better choice and I'd say increase card compatibility too, but I guess the manufacturer simply didn't think that far...
ID Cooling states specifically on their site that this product is meant for reference board design cards with VRMs on the right side of the GPU die. Reference design blower models would also benefit the most from this product. It would be great to see them offer an alternative design though
