The Beyond Burger - Full Ingredient Breakdown & Taste Test
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 вер 2024
- I had to see what all the fuss was about regarding the beyond burger from beyond beef. I had never tasted this burger before, but have been hearing lots of people talk about how bad the ingredients were and how processed it is. I've also heard vegans and vegetarians talk about how this was the best tasting meat alternative burger and that it was much better for the environment than real beef. I did a deep dive on the ingredients, and it's both good and bad. The burger is quite processed, but it has to be if you are trying to replicate the flavor and texture of beef. It's not something I would eat every day, and there are some ingredients that I don't approve in, but they did a great job with this burger. If you don't eat meat, I totally get why this burger is all the rage, even though its not really healthy, but then again, neither is grain fed factory farmed beef. Mad love Bobby...Dessi...and Art! XOXO

Bobby, you should start a series of videos explaining "questionable ingredients" that we find in "health" foods. Such as tapioca syrup, natural flavors, soy lecithin, etc.
on my list now!!
Totally agree.
@@BobbyParrish yes that is a great idea
Yes, also why one of coca cola's ingredients is shipped in trucks with a hazard sticker...
FlavCity with Bobby Parrish Keep on doing an awesome job, forget the haters. I have learned so much, from your channel.
Ironic because I just bought this the other day and realized I didn’t even do research to find out what’s in the burger. Great video! Super informative as always
that's what I am for ;)
Stephezy Research? Just read the label. It’s trash.
@@TheRealRealOK not sure if i asked for your input...
i will never eat beyond meat products to many bad ingredients really surprised you say they are ok can't believe your review of this terrible product and terrible ingredients very disappointed
@@Stepho2Fierce u should always read the back of the label and never trust the front cause the front cause it may seem promising til u find out later on.. Also, never buy products containing soy even if it says that their facility may use soy in other products. They still secretly use soy and it's not to be trusted. If u haven't researched what these ingredients are really about then u should do some deep diving cause this youtuber isn't gonna mention what's really up. He only mentioned the half of why u shouldn't eat foods with bad ingredients. You're better off growing your foods, buying from vendors, and going to health food stores that sell organic food & products and foods with natural clean ingredients
Bobby thank you for being positive and respectful about this burger! As a vegan, I’ve seen a lot of people hate in “fake meat” and completely miss the point!
Megan R I agree. I’ve been vegan for 8 years and never felt the need for meat alternatives but for those who are thinking about it or trying to transition into vegan/vegetarian it can serve its purpose. We all pick our battles at the end of the day.
Love Beyond Beyond Burger. I bought 4000 shares at their IPO. it pop 150% over the course of a month and half. Made over $432,000. Cheers my friends. The burgers are excellent.
Congrats men!
I guess you bought 4k shares of Beyond Meat.. 150% would be interesting to see. At the moment they are barley floating at 150 and I lost a nice 20%. Everyone says they are overrated and they will never reach their revenue targets. The burger tastes like a well overcooked chicken. cheers
@@theovskywatcher4787 I'm cool with that! Still prefer that to factory farms...
They're a vile abomination, wise investment though.
BULLLLLLSHIT LOL
I’m so grateful to have found this channel! Such great info. I love your T-Shirts!
so glad you found us too!
"Do you want to eat it every day? No!"
Well, it can't be worse than eating a cow burger every day, except for the extra cost ("edible" cow body part production is subsidized out the kazoo).
Wait why did he say no to that ? That took me by surprise
It's more like a treat, not a staple food. So much processed stuff
@@5unshineBear
I agree. It is junkfood. However, it's still better than eating a burger with real cow body parts in it.
I am all about meat but also have an open mind. My wife has been eating Beyond Meat for about 3 years now. Also try the sausages, even I think they are awesome!
i tried the sausage too..really good and it has a snap!
Everything on the Mcdonalds menu tastes great too.
Doesn't change the fact that their quality is one grade higher than feces.
there are people that like this? I figured he was just saying it was good for the camera I'm the same only I just try vegan things every now and then dr pragers are my favorite especially if I make a double burger with a normal burger and a pragers vegie burger. but I tried the same product he did but I had to force myself to eat the second 1. it may have had something to do with the beats because I don't like beats but it was bad.
I would suggest to buy this instead of normal beef for ethical reasons (environment, animals, antibiotics resistance). I am trying myself to eat animal products to a minimum.
I love the sausages, too. 👍
I love that you’re a meat eater that is open to vegan/vegetarian options! Some people need meat in every meal when it’s totally unnecessary!
Just eating veggies is far better than this fake stuff from a commercial lab.
J K you’re right! But vegans and vegetarians need these options to be on the market! Sometimes just vegetables don’t cut it for them. These options make being veg easier because they don’t feel as deprived as the would be on a strict 100% whole foods diet. I eat meat and I’m no saint, I eat process foods too!
@@illas14 That's like saying go ahead and eat the Kraft Mac n Cheese or something made from Bisquick. Be a vegetarian or don't bother. But stuff that bleeds beet juice is just gross in so many ways even if you are actually able to swallow it. And it isn't healthy. You may want it but you don't need it. Quorn or the old fashioned veggie burgers are such better options than this. And it is such a financial scam besides.
@@illas14 But Impossible and Beyond's main targets aren't Vegans or Vegetarians though. They know they can never thrive if they catered to those niche groups. They've admitted themselves that their main objective is targeting meat eaters/omnivores.
Let them decide that for themselves.
Hey... you did a video on Cheese and said to NEVER buy it shredded in a bag... and there you went and got a huge bag of Shredded Cheddar! Oh Bobby... :-)
i was lazy, you got me!! i had in my fridge..and the video was about the burger..never again ;)
Dodgy!
Also said never buy white bread but the buns where white.
LOL!
Sometimes you gotta splurge
You are so knowledgeable and very easy to listen to. I hope to start shopping smarter and paying much closer attention to the labels and now at least knowing what the heck some of these words mean. Thanks, Bobby!
Very excellent explanation of ingredient and nutritional value. I will truly research information relative to health much more thoroughly.
Thumbs up for trying Beyond Burger. Carl's Jr. now offers it on their menu. You failed to mention the impact that Slaughterhouses have on the environment, regardless whether the animals are pasture raised or not.
I just discovered Bison hamburger, and they make the most delicious hamburgers, just a little salt and pepper, don't need special seasoning, sauces or ketchup, cheese or bun, just straight up 1 lb of bison and a few pickles on the side, it's my keto jam.
Commercialized farming vs plant based vs grass fed beef - bravo detail Bobby! 👏🏼 great info; Bravo 👍🏼!!!! I only eat seafood so I’ve been wanting to try this burger as a treat for a while- and I couldn’t agree with you more!!!
I enjoy these videos a lot.45 years ago my mother in law was telling us about how better organic stuff is. Although she wasn't able to afford it plus the places that sold it wasn't close to her she read a lot and told us. We all laughed at her back then behind her back. Guess what! We're not laughing now.
You left out the fact that the cows are living creatures, it is better to eat beyond because you don’t have to kill a cow.
The cow is still dead
@@SlippingJimmy0ok and you contribute to that cow dying
@@Riley095 yeah and I love doing that
Surely, you realize that most people don't care.
You don't convince die hard meat eaters by telling them cows won't die.
Bobby- stop talking about it: the next video should be Natural Flavorings ... I knew it was bad- and that “natural” wasn’t regulated... 🤦🏻♀️ ... thanks for all the GREAT content- mad Love!!
Huge fan of your nutritional content. REally making me consider being a more health conscientious consumer. Very helpful
As always, thank you for the research in great food. Would love to see an updated thrive market video on prices and "is it worth it" to replace regular shopping at whole foods, trader joes etc.
such a great idea!! on my list
Hey B, I have a taste test that never fails with my Boston Terrier. I gave him a bite of a BK cheeseburger which he loves followed by a bite of BK Impossible Whopper which he immediately spit out. Same test with Hardee's Beyond 1/3 pound thick burger.. He ate the Beyond burger so we both enjoy and recommend the Hardee's Beyond Thick burger.
Love you guys!!! Thank you for all the work you put into these videos!!!!😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Always very informative. What are your thoughts on the amount of preservatives when compared to the cholesterol in a beef burger?
The Beyond Burgers are good, but if I want a 'veggie' burger, I'd make a black bean burger.
He said 10 times these are not veggie burgers.
that's what i ate when i was vegetarian
Nick Nicholas I don’t think she was disputing Bobby.
@@polisigh216 I believe she thinks the BB burgers are veggie burgers. It don't matter.
It’s a meat substitute. Doesn’t exactly mean it’s the healthiest option available
Re: Impossible Burger, you can't buy it in stores to cook at home yet. And Heme is a component of Hemoglobin that allows red blood cells to carry oxygen, so it's in people blood, too, not just cows. Just FYI. I think it tastes more beefy than the Beyond Burger, but the Beyond Meat Sausage is excellent.
The burger isn't for me, but thanks for the info. I'll stick to my homemade bean burgers. Please consider a video about the many types of vinegar. I would love to find a 4% acidity vinegar.
Here in Mexico since the last year we have some hexagons in the food branding that specify if a product has an excess of something or some additive that has some health concerns. That package is labeled with "excess of saturated fats".
I appreciate your review of this product. I haven't tried it, but I have been curious. I still will stick with my grass-fed beef, but I might at least give it a try one day.
Absolutely look forward to all your reviews, Bobby. I'm not vegan, but do eat plant based 2-3 times a week. Haven't tried this b/c of the high fat content, but will give it a shot after your review. Keep up with this and all your grocery hauls!
Ruth O'Hara don’t waste your money! They taste horrible. You’re way better off making a homemade veggie burger.
First time I got the notification actually when you upload it, not like 7 hours later 😂
UA-cam is so funky like that!
U am so glad you gave Beyond burgers a thumbs up. About three months ago I discovered Beyond burgers and I love them, their other products as well. 👍
I'm sticking to my grass feed burger ....
Leanne Porter, YES! Something tells me , you’re very intelligent Leanne!
Thanks for shooting this video inside the store and not getting kicked out :P You are BRAVE! Bravo! And to talk about their products and ingredients freely :) hahaha did anyone approach you or give you a weird look?
We are not vegan or vegetarian but whenever we want to eat a burger we just buy Beyond Meat patties and cook it at home. It really tastes good and cooks fast 😊
Love your videos. A great video would be to go into detail on all the ingredients that sound scary but aren't that bad. Like modified food starch scares me. But I've heard yeast extract is natural msg. So a video explaining those things would be awesome.
great idea..on my list now!
Bobby, my wife and I love your videos 99% of time, especially the ones on Costco shopping and nutritional information.
My wife is a pescatarian and would be very open to a product like this. But, reading the label of this product with its loooong list of additives, just is not appealing to us.
For me it's easy: if you want to eat something that looks, feels and tastes like beef, then eat beef (or chicken or pork or fish or any other animal).
Beyond Beef and Impossible Beef are to real beef as Budweiser is to beer, Taco Bell is to Mexican food, and Pizza Hut is to pizza. Not even close.
Again, we love your videos 99% of the time.
Thing is plant fats are better to cook then animal fats. Animal fats oxidized and produce a crap load of free radicals. Let alone the other chemicals associated with red meat that activate certain receptors on your cells that can lead to gene expression, the gene expression from meat can lead to heart problems for certain individuals.
I am a pescatarian and I say do not do it. I had the chipotle plant based. It got stuck in my stomach not the colon. I will talk about my story at the top but two months later I am now going through a rash to get rid of what is left. Over on bleeping chipotle.
Perhaps do an updated review--ingredients have changed.
Yes. Looks like they cleaned up a bit.
It’s still highly-processed artificial garbage that nobody should ever consume. Either stick to real 100% grass fed beef or just plants in their natural form.

Just tried the Beyond Meat Classic Cookout Burger for the first time and it did not disappoint. Served it up on a toasted brioche bun and topped it with sharp cheddar and catsup. Love the taste and the thickness of the Cookout Burger. Thank you for the video. It was really informative.
Thanks guys!! Beyond beef came out with a ground beef product, I’d love for you to try a meat loaf with it. 😊
Yes beyond burgers are tasty, I like them a lot , glad you explained the ingredients in detail, I was wondering where the fat came from. great alternative to a burger. I think they have meatballs and ground beef style too.
Bobby can you please do a list of most of the bad ingredients with an explanation that we need to avoid, and others with the good ones. It will be easy and handy when we do shopping. Please, you can add it to your website and keep updating it.
"yeast extract" is not another name for MSG. One is derived from yeast, the other from bacteria. Whether either one of them is "man-made" comes does to your definition. They are both highly processed, and you may have reasons for avoiding them. By the way, I've tried the Beyond Burger. It was delicious.
Please do a video on meat alternatives like hotdogs, burgers, turkey burgers, chic n nuggets etc.. there is so little that is known about these extremely popular brands like the Boca burger, MorningStar, Gardine, etc. we really need your expertise 🙏🏻
Love your informative videos! Keep em coming 😊🙏🏻
Bob…don’t want to use steel cooking utensils with non-stick pans because they scratch the coating and causes toxic leaching in food. Once you have one scratch the pan is basically toxic. Keep up the good work!! Great vids!!
I've eaten this before, and I liked it. The only thing is that my body couldn't function on this type of protein. I was weak and tired after eating this "meat." I loved the taste, texture, and that it was gluten-free, but my body did not get much from it.
i just tried this and ive never even liked burgers because of how dry they can be BUT THIS IS TOO GOOD
I thought it tasted horrible. And the after taste is weird.
Jessica Newton Are you vegan?
purple tea yes. Also soy and gluten free so I’ve tasted all kinds of good and bad vegan food. And this was yuck
Same here. Taste was ok enough while eating it but there is a definite aftertaste I can't get over. No one else who I shared these burgers with could taste that aftertaste. But it's definitely there!
jessica romero right! My friend didn’t taste it but after every night it was off
@@jess12-18 I tasted that weird taste, made me almost throw up
Thanks so much for this video. I bought some of these awhile back and they’ve been sitting in my freezer because I didn’t understand the ingredients. Very helpful.
I'll stick with my black bean burger. I got the recipe from Wholefoods. The natural flavor on packages is what really concerns me, Thanks so much for sharing.
I'm with you on the black bean burger. I tried the Beyond Burger, but my system staged a revolution for 3 hours after consuming one. Never again.
Buy one. Cook it. Eat it without throwing tons of crap on it. It tastes terrible. The one thing good about it is its nutritional value is the same as meat (kinda).
It's weird because in my opinion it probably cost less to make as opposed to a real burger pattie, but they're so much more expensive 😫
Real meat gets subsidies while plant based doesn’t
I do eat meat but also try veggie burgers and healthy non-meat options. I love the beyond burgers! I think they are the best alternative I've personally tried. Great info in this video.
I love these kind of videos with meat alternatives and plant based foods❤️
Omg when I saw that you posted this I got sooo excited. I have been watching videos comparing the Impossible Burger and the Beyond Burgers for some time now. Thank you so much for your knowledge and the awesome way that you explain and break down things. I appreciate it so much, sent this video to my friend and my cousin. Because of you and other readings I have started to remove soy from my diet. I used to do soymilk because cow milk would mess with my skin and tummy and there were alot of only nut milk options but I'm allergic to nuts. I now drink Ripple Pea Milk that you approved of in another video! Thank you again!
love to hear that, you are most welcome!
Kind of reluctant to try fake beef burger. I'm hoping you'll do a video on making wholesome vegetarian burger..
I've tried vegetarian burgers...horrible! The BB burger is actually quite good. I haven't opted for a beef burger since trying it. My vegan friend loved it after I introduced her to it.
YT4Me57 Same here. I easily gave up Umami burger after tasting BM
@@YT4Me57 true some veggie burger don't taste that good. But I tried one from Trader Joe's call 'Thail sweet chili veggie burger', got to admit it got it own unique delish taste that I fancy. The ingredients is better than other I've seen in other veggie burger. No protein isolate.
Edwina Godwin Thanks for the info. Will check that one from Trader Joes
I would love to see a video about different types of tofu. I know you aren’t a fan of soy, but it is a good protein option for many vegetarians and vegans. There are a lot of varieties of tofu out there, and having a video to break them down would be so awesome and helpful!
Soy is terrible for your body and no male should eat soy products the cause you to make estrogen.
Because I worship the ground you walk on, sort of, I'm kind of surprised that you used that type of pan and also pre-shredded cheese but I guess we can't all be perfect!
so funny you say that..I was too lazy to bust out my cast iron(but i use non-stick all the time and thats a good one) and did not feel like grating my own cheese for this one ;) You got me ;)
Is there there more processing in grated cheese? Or just a cost thing.
Thank you! As soon as you talked about the natural flavoring info you earned a sub from me! I didn't know all that before...Very informative breakdown.
I would be interested in a quality analysis of the protein. Beyond the scope of this video, but important I think.
Thanks for this video! We got Beyond Burger patties for like two months now (Aldi was the first place to sell them) in Germany. They cost 5.99€ and are super hyped and sold out extremely fast, I couldn't get my hands on it yet. But I will try them!
I have been eating these for several months now and do not miss beef burgers. They are actually easier to digest, don't have the gristle of meat, and taste just as good. Add some fried onion, sharp cheese, tomato, lettuce and you are great to go !
Thank you for making this video. I was always hesitant about purchasing it, but after your analysis I think I'll give it a try.
Great video! Will you be doing a video on The Impossible Burger?
I tried the Beyond Meat Sausage, at a friend's house. It was surprisingly good. The texture was good when it was roasted with mixed veggies & the seasoning was on point.
and it has a snap!

Try the beyond meat version 2.0 because the package looks like the first version. Also, 2.0 uses apple pectin plus rice protein and has a better texture and taste.
I bought this yesterday, the first thing I noticed was the smell, very similar to opening a can of dog food. Couldn’t get past it.
Same here! Cooking it only made my whole house stink. I also thought it tasted off...and I generally like meatless patties. I tasted it and threw the other burger party away!

Bobby. I had the Beyond Burger tonight. I thought they tasted really good. I had them on a bed of cauliflower rice, no bun and the taste was good.
I will try it once...but for the price, i'm sticking w/ 100% grassfed beef...im glad to know I can pass on "impossible" substitute
Amy B.K. even the standard commercial ground beef is better than this processed fake food.
They’ve updated there ingredients.also soy isn’t bad for you that’s a myth you can check that out.

AMEN.
Same here. I tried beyond burgers a year ago, and while they taste somewhat like a real beef burger they’re just way too expensive for what they are.
Grain fed is higher in omega 6 fatty acids.Organic is a scam and less nutritious .
We raise our own hay and beef. I do know it is organic grass fed minus what ever they spray into our sky’s that I can’t control.
Bought this burger because I had a coupon. The key was to make sure you cook it correctly.I'm new to this channel , would like to see a video on buying process deli meat.
Interesting, you'll go to the ends of the earth to avoid a gmo but you have no problem eating a "burger" that was made in lab.
It's non-GMO. He pointed that out on the package.
Btw “burger” means patty not beef so stop with the sarcasim, and btw everything from cheese, bread, soda, candy, etc was made in a “lab” so stop criticizing something u have probably never looked into
@R B Stop preaching. I know plenty. Bobby Parrish is the one I'm listening to. I don't see you doing any videos. Parrish made it clear that the Impossible burger at BK is the one to stay away from as it's totally lab made, soy based and GMO. He said the Beyond Burger wasn't perfect but that it was a good vegan alternative. It's plant based and is non-GMO. Do the research. It's true.
pretty much all vegetables and vegs are GMO. Google what fruits and looked like couple hundred years ago. BTW, ever go on a yike and run into wild broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes. etc. maybe mushrooms, that is it
bob ripple and how often do you run into wild cows?
I work on a military base in the commissary and I see a lot of the military guys buying this brand of burger and sausage, I knew there must be something good about it! Now I need to try it myself.
For the part about grass fed beef, would you add to the end of that statement that there is not enough land on earth for enough cows to feed all the people on earth? So basically the amount of land it takes to raise one grass fed cow, means there is not enough land for everyone on earth to eat grass fed beef, the resources are too limited.🤷♀️
This was super informative. I would never eat those burgers but after seeing your breakdown they don't seem as bad. Still wouldn't eat that stuff though...
Is Art related to Willem Defoe?
I thought the same thing!!! He definitely could be his son!
I think he looks like Emilio Estevez!
My alma mater, UC Davis, has determined that adding seaweed to a cow’s diet decreases the amount of methane gas excreted by the cow. The problem right now is there is not enough of the type of seaweed needed and so far there is no way to farm it.
Meh, not sold. Too expensive, too laboratory. I'll stick to the real deal. Agreed, not to have every day, both real and pea. Will be a buyer of your shirts soon. Real boots on the ground videos about our everyday foods, much love and thanks!
It's a really good concept, but to make it a meat replacement they reallly got to cut the prizes because the average buyer is used to 5$ a pound meat, he wont buy it until it gets lower. But if they keep expanding and coming to other countries, like here in germany when they arrived 2 weeks ago, I see huge potential. Good review Bobby!
My local grocer here in Canada can't keep it on the shelves.
@@thelowcarbcanuck689 but only because of the vegan hype and the overall beyond hype. Its gonna settle
Hey thanks for the review on ingredients. I researched this product but didn't like the ingredients. Thanks for the explanations and reminders. I may give this a try...not sure. I'm not particularly craving beef anyway. Thanks.
Try it once, it’s not that bad it’s gonna kill you from one burger. It’s pretty good, smells exactly the he same but the taste is slightly different then meat but not in a terrible way because when you put condiments or cheese on you won’t be able to tell the difference anymore.
Just make a traditional burger don’t get crazy, make a traditional burger to mask the taste a bit so you get used to it over time.
They DO NOT taste like BEEF! I eat them every week and now I add them into chop suey, chili, stroganoff broken up like crumbles. Also tacos....
Baby formula recommendations please 🤞
Good Video. I've been wondering about the hamburger substitutes. Still too expensive for me though. I've been going to the Pollock, Salmon, and ground turkey patties that Costco offers in the frozen section. They are kind of bland with mayo, ketchup, and all the usual condiments. But if you sear them good and use Costco's Pesto, a little mayo or tartar sauce along with the standard onion, tomato, and red lettuce toppings and go with Dave's killer sprouted grain green from Trader Joe's (the sprouted green is not available at Costco... just the regular Dave's Killer green) I think you have a really killer sandwich.
Can u do more whole food plant based shopping and cooking that would be great
LOVE this & their “Steak tips” so good!
Wow, I paused the video when you did a closeup of the ingredient label and realized I didn’t need to watch any further because I would never eat those, but I watched anyway to hear your take on them. Canola oil, (expeller pressed or not makes no difference to me) and refined coconut oil, “so far, so good”? Are you kidding me?
I love those burgers! I top them with relish and ketchup, and baby spinach (instead of lettuce)...DELICIOUS!!! Haven't missed beef burgers since.
My wife and I really enjoy your hauls and walkthroughs, they are very informative and have influenced how we shop and eat. Remember carbon is plant food. Oxygen, which we breathe is a byproduct of trees taking in carbon. Carbon is an emission humans and aninals give off from intaking oxygen.
Will you do an update on this product Bobby? they have changed some of the ingredients, and I think it's a positive change (still has "natural flavor" 👎, but maltodextrin is no longer listed 👍). Thank you for keeping us informed!
I'm a meat eater but I still love these burgers. They're delicious!
I would suggest to buy this instead of normal beef for ethical reasons (environment, animals, antibiotics resistance). I am trying myself to eat animal products to a minimum.
I didn't know the difference between the Impossible Burger and the beyond Beef Burger so a big THANK YOU for explaining the difference!
The smell of this burger cooking made me vomit. I could not get passed the dog-food-smell that streamed from the stove. This burger made my stomach turn AND the California vegan burger.
Art of Love it did have a crazy smell 🤢
Try Hillary’s veggie patty they are so good
Yeast extract also commonly called hydrolyzed or autolyzed yeast, is not MSG as widely believed,
Whats wrong with being autolyzed ?
Why buy this climatedestructive shit when you can buy real local meatburger
I'll watch it all, as long as there are Art cameos! (Bobby's OK too 😉)
I made tacos with Beyond Burger and some meatless chorizo. My whole family had a very difficult next-day experience. Good thing we have four bathrooms. TMI. But never, ever again! Sorry! It was Impossible Burger. Still wary about this stuff. 🥴
Same here. I like many vegan options and I buy them regularly, but this is just horrible.
Bobby I have a question: Do the grocery stores allow you to record without problem?
Bobby, im afraid i did not like it at all. Weird taste. Gave me inflammation and made me sick in my stomach. Do not recommend it.
We all have different physical make ups. Sorry it didn't work with yours. I've never had a problem.
Terri Chalnick Never had any problem. This is my favorite vegan burger patties
Of course it did because it’s fake food. 🙄
Fake food always seems cool at first and then years later, people always find problems compared to real food. Stick to real food. It's better for you and better for the environment.
Yeah I really can't eat any of those imitation meat or cheese, because they have too much junk in them. so I just got to keep it clean or not eat it at all.
I have had both the Impossible Burger and Beyond Beef. The BB is more like a real beef burger in taste, cooking smell, and texture but I would eat either in a restaurant setting over beef any day........Just an fyi, cook the burgers longer to get rid of the pink in the middle. Even if the outside looks "burned" or dark, it tastes fine and doesn't taste burned.
I remember eating these when I was plant based. Was not a fan 👎🏻 the taste and amount of fat oozing from it when it was cooking, turned me off right away. If you’re looking for good tasting alternative meats, Gardein never failed me. Their fishless fish was a favorite of mine. Also Morningstar(not vegan) has a great tasting bbq meatless rib.
