How much did the WRITTEN OFF RR Evoque COST ££ to REBUILD? Was it WORTH IT??

- The finale of the Range Rover Evoque see's me overcome some obstacles just when I thought we had finished. Minor problems.
Finally, the RR leaves the workshop and has its first trip out on the road. Its been a long time coming..
In this episode I break down the cost of the Evoque and ask the question, "Was it worth it?".
If you like drone footage and want to know the cost of this build - this final episode is for you!!
Avenger 4x4 is the place where I picked up my chassis cut and various parts.

Well done young man - a really interesting video which was well presented and edited. The piece showing you giving Alan a card was a very thoughtful and kind gesture - if anyone did that for me, they would be a life long friend. Now a bit of Dad advice if I may (I'm probably older than your Dad) - you may not have made money on the project, but the life lessons you have learnt doing this will last for your life - the way you honestly deal with people is impressive. You can always earn money - and to be honest money does not mean very much in life. So bravo to you - feel proud, you have done well.
Thank you very much Keith. This has made my day!
A lot of lessons learned from this series. I’m only taking away positives- what I have learned and the friend I have made is worth more than any money earned (or not in this case). You have hit the nail on the head. Thank you for your kind words 👍
Correct. Not always about the money. It's about the enjoyment it brings you and us. Many thanks.
Wow some really arsy comments on this. It may not have made financial sense to repair it but in your defence it’s hard to tell without being allowed to view before bidding but you got it done and didn’t skimp at all and your sister will be very happy with a lovely car I’m sure. So people should give you a break, you haven’t killed anybody or wasted anybody’s money other than your own and look at what you ha e learned from the experience. Well done 👍😀
🙌🏽🙌🏽 thank you.
Yeah I’ve not shied away from saying it didn’t make financial sense and it’s a lesson learned for sure. It came out well and I’m happy with it. Yes it wasn’t financially viable however, I’ve learned a lot, made some interesting vidoes and have a new friend and future help for repairs. Can’t complain at that. 👍
Well said 👍
I’d say we may see Alan again in the near future??
Brilliant partnership 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’m absolutely positive we will 👍👍
@@SLRebuilt I think Alan enjoyed the challenge and partnership also.
Just by the way he was inspired again👌🏼
Turned out nice 👍🏼
Just like Mat Armstrong a Copart lesson learnt. But it’s on about point regards value. And it’s video content so well done. Enjoyable to watch. And it’s great to see you take the time to read the comments and make the time and effort to reply. I await your next project.
Cheers John. I’ve learned a lot from this series which has been great. I have additional confidence to take on projects that I probably wouldn’t have considered before this one. Looking forward to the next. Thank you for watching and appreciate your comments 👍
It's a bit like when Tarvarish met Jared Pink here... Alan is the new member of the channel and he really knew what he was doing too, decades of knowledge and very humble too. I hope he gains some additional business from helping you out. Love the finished project it looks very slick and the lowering suspension really made a huge difference, looks far more aggressive. Well done!
I think you are right. Alan is certainly a friend for life and we will be doing more projects together too!
Glad you like the lowering- that’s certainly a ‘marmite’ thing I’ve done to this. You either love it or hate it. No in between.
Thank you for following this journey. More to come 👍
Where is Alan based please? I have a similar repair needed to my transit van
Great project, what you didn't make in money, you made in a new friend in Alan and great content for us 👍 Can't wait to see the next project 🙂
A lot of lessons learned. Loads of positives too- especially Alan.
New project(s) next week 👍
You could easily have just walked away from this and took a hit on the loss but you didn’t. You carried on a provided some content for others to watch and enjoy or learn from and that should be applauded. You were lucky to find Alan and you both seem to have created a great partnership on this project. Sadly there are not enough people like Alan around anymore as most places just want quick and easy repair work for easy turnover so he was a fantastic find. I’m glad the Evoque is staying in the family as that means there is always the possibility of you providing the odd update on how it’s doing.
Thank you very much John. It’s really nice to hear some positive comments. I’m really happy with how the RR turned out. Alan has been great and we are certainly going to be doing more projects together too 👍
Good job, don't listen to the haters.
You added extras, which bumped up the cost
🙌🏽🙌🏽👍👍
Great job and hats off to Alan for not only his amazing craftsmanship but also his cheery nature! What a lovely chap! Great work though, money isn’t everything and nice to help out your own family too. Your sister will be rightly proud of what you’ve achieved. Well done and I look forward to the next project! 👍👍
Thank you Michael! I’m pleased with the end result and have learned a lot during this series! What an amazing guy Alan is too- more projects to come there I’m sure! Thanks for the support 👍🙌🏽
The lesson applies to absolutely everything in life, buy well, and do all the work yourself !
I have found your story of fixing this 7 year old Évoque fascinating. Having owned one, I am amazed at the sheer complexity of parts that make up this vehicle. The cost of JLR spares ensures that there is a vibrant market for S/h spares! Always knew it was going to be a money pit, but it was an enjoyable story, and at least your sis is getting a tidy motor. Resale will be an issue, but if she keeps it for a few years it won’t matter, as all ICE cars will be eventually be valueless in the EV revolution 😂
It was a much tougher challenge than you thought. You didn't get disheartened you went and solved it and sorted it !! Loss in money terms but worth every penny in experience . Think your biggest saving might be to go and have a look before buying , could save money and time
I'm sure you've learnt so much in doing this project which has cost more than what you expected on parts. Alan has definitely been your saviour in doing the work on the a pillar. All in all its great knowledge for the future in any future work that you do. I still have enjoyed watching the progress on the Range Rover. Looking forward to seeing your next project 👍🏾👏🏾🖐🏾
Couldn’t agree more. Some much learned and a lot of positives to take away (primarily Alan) 🙌🏽👍
Great achievement getting that sorted. I seriously thought you had bought a steaming pile but you did an excellent job with Alan’s assistance. Looks great now, Darken the rear windows to finish it off. Best of luck with the next project
Cheers Anthony. I certainly did buy I steaming pile of ..... but managed to polish it a bit and now it looks a little better.thank you 👍
Throughly enjoyed the whole build mate. Love seeing the drone footage as well reminds me of home and spanking my old F reg mk2 Astra SRI around them. Don’t see any roads like the fens in Cornwall! All credit to you as well Sam as you certainly have got the balls to take these projects on and it’s always easy to criticise when it’s not your money on the line. Your sister will love the car. Looking forward to the next build 👍🏻
Thank you Jay! Really appreciate the comments. 👍
Has been an awesome series.
Well done sam & alan.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
You have done a great job on it mate .welldone thanks for sharing it with us
Just subscribed mate, i'm currently watching all build series in order lol! I rebuilt front of my wifes Escape/Kuga a year ago and had never done that sort of stuff before. It was really enjoyable and satisfying knowing you had done it yourself. Keep em coming! You look like an English @DoitwithDan by the way )
Hey bud, thanks for subbing 👍.
It is very satisfying doing it- especially when you’re learning as you go!
Thank you very much.
I have just checked out @doitwithdan- I see the resemblance 😂👍
Well done this is my first comment I’ve watched the complete build every week, and think your very honest in everything you do. I am not a Range Rover fan I think they seriously over rated however the content and work of everyone involved deserves praise at the highest level.
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences good and bad 👍 looking forward to the next build (try a classic) . Good luck in the future.
Thank you very much Milo. Really appreciate the comments and for tuning in every week for the ups and downs.
Looking forward to moving onto the next project. I am certainly taking away a lot of positives from this build- from learnings and a great friend of I’ve made in Alan 🙌🏽
Stumbled across your channel when looking for mini builds. Just watched the 10 videos on RR in one go! Really entertaining and informative. Can’t wait for the two new mini builds! Got a new subscriber here 😃👍🏻👍🏻
Oh wow. Thank you Mark. 👍👍🙌🏽🙌🏽
A learning experiences all round, but the one shining Knight is Alan for helping so much. I caught a hint that even he salvaged something he could value. So perhaps some shared benefits for all.
For sure a lot of learning experiences and positives to take away- especially Alan! He sure did too! 👍
Excellent series mate - good honest hard labour and frustration for the love of it! Well done. Look forward to your next project.
Thank you Richard 🙌🏽
Nice to see you do the numbers . Good work
Thank you 👍
Great series have enjoyed the ups and downs of your journey. I think it's totally unfair that you got some negative comments, about the repairs. From my experience these repairs are commonplace in the trade, but they wouldn't show them on camera, thank you for your honestly. I think if you had just done the basic repair without all the dynamic upgrades, wheels and lowering you would had come in with a small profit. Two video's a week would be great one on the project and one on your lifestyle you love the dog and family content when we get to no you looking forward to the next one cheers and happy New year sam
Thank you for the positive comments. Really appreciate it.
Glad you stay tuned throughout the series- certainly some ups and downs. You are certainly right. The dynamic upgrades were the best part of 2k.
I’d love to do more uploads but my full time jobs takes priority. May consider this later in the year though. Appreciate the info and insight into what people are looking for. Thank you very much & Happy New Year!
Sam
The most profitable part of the whole exercise for you was finding Alan. Good people who are reliable and don’t want to rip you off are hard to find in any trade the motor trade definitely being no exception. I’d also like to compliment you on your filming and editing. If you’re in finance not media production and haven’t had any help it’s incredible. If you have got somebody working with you on that side of the process that’s another good person to continue to collaborate with. You possibly need a better microphone for some of the exterior pieces to camera because there was a lot of wind noise in one section. Very thorough concluding video though so it’s a 👍 from me.
Thank you Mark. Really appreciate the comments.
A lot of lessons learned in this series and I have certainly made a new friend for life in Alan too. Thank you very much.
Also, do my own editing and filming (with exception of the flying the drone whilst driving - a member of the family does that part). Still learning lots and making mistakes and learning from them all the time. I’m glad you have enjoyed this series too 🙌🏽👍
Well done 👏..looks amazing (sic) Alan and yourself have done a fantastic job there...friend of mine is with the police vehicle fraud unit...these are one of the most common to be lifted and ringed apparently....be in your interest to fit a fuel pump cut off switch (hidden).
Just a bit of friendly advice.
Wishing you well.
Thank you Kevin. We’re going ghost immobiliser on it. Thank you for the heads up 👍
Alan is a HERO, well done with the finished car, looks great.
He sure is! What a guy 🙌🏽
Sometimes the journey is more important than where you end up. If you've come out at roughly what it should be worth then that's great, as look how much we've all learnt along the way. Really good series and all the more interesting because it was such a challenge.
👍👍
Respect to Alan for all his hard work. Topman alan, I salute you!!👍
O/s front lower bottom wheel arch is hangin off mate also driver side door lines don’t look like they line up
Amazing rebuild on this evoque. Car looking stunning and you got it down to a T. Perfect Mods and definitely looking the real deal. Great video. Definitely worth keeping in contact with Alan no doubt.
Cheers bud! Defo staying in contact with Alan too! More to come 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Nice job I think all your viewers have enjoyed the journey
Fear play to you and Alan can’t wait till the nest one ☝️👍👍👏
Thank you 😊
I’ve enjoyed the journey too! Learned a lot and will continue to do so too! Thanks for following me on this one 🙌🏽
Glad the car turned out great, it looks mint, shame you didn't make any money but at least the car was saved and finished, thanks to Alan, looking forward to seeing the next car
well done mate...in all honesty I had my doubts at the start but you did it. Your assessment was very frank and honest and fessing up it (financially) wasn't worth it is refreshing on UA-cam. But you can't put a price on experience. I assume it went through an MoT which means it's safe on the road and let's face it there are some right lemons trotting up and down our roads. For the haters?, well, let's see their rebuilds
Thank you mate. A lot of lessons learned here which are more important than making a profit. Not hiding from anything in these videos - just showing what goes into this stuff, especially for me, who has little/no experience in the trade. I’ve made a great friend in Alan and I’m sure there will be future projects with him too. Win win. Thanks for watching 🙌🏽👍
@@SLRebuilt no worries mate.. I've just checked the car and it doesn't even have any Advisories !... (another one for the haters)... I'm not brave enough to take on or buy a Cat S, but you've proven it's safe and sound and deserves to be on the road 👌
Thoroughly enjoyed this series. I would have bought that from you in a heartbeat.....trouble is, steering wheel is on the wrong side for Dallas! Great job and looking forward to the next adventure 👍🏻
Cheers Greg!! Glad you enjoyed. More content coming next week! 👍👍
You can’t buy a Evoke that year with that mileage and spec.. so it was worth it overall and great content for your channel..appreciate you got mates rates and you can never recoup your own time.. job well done great looking car..
Thank you 😊 👍
Excellent, Flawless video production! Look forward to new videos! Nice job 👍
Thanks Mark 🙌🏽👍
"You know exactly where we are going?" Yeah man. Willow Hall Lane!
Alan seems like a top guy … not many of these guys around who are happy and willing to help & support 👍🏻
You got the car fixed properly unlike some other on UA-cam, Well done mate
Cheers mate 👍
Cough cough Phil cough cough
Nice one👍 Car looks great. Lesson learned on the amount of work/parts needed. But as your keeping it in the family it doesn’t matter.😎
👍👍
Congratulations, on another great series, enjoyed the journey, will always get some negativity it's just life a suppose. Just keep doing it your way 💯👌
Cheers Andy! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Well done mate, looking stunning now. Hope it stays in the family for a long time. Have you seen salvage rebuilds have just start an Evoque? All the best to you and Alan 👍
Thank you bud. Yeah just seen there new upload too 👍. Thank you. Defo new project to be had with Alan 🙌🏽
well done, and as for allan what a genuine nice guy, least you could fix yours look at matt armstrong and his amg, nice guy and he was well ripped off,its a learning curve but well done,👍👍👍👍
For sure a learning curve. I enjoyed doing it and have made a great friend in Alan too so not all is lost 👍
You beat me to it RF.
Great series, how much was the UA-cam commission on the series? That will identify if the project was worth while.
It looks great and the content was great to watch especially the arch repair
Thank you so much. 👍🙌🏽
Don't forget to account for the viewers and views this will have bought to the channel. Hat off to you for taking on the work, not quite how I would have done that front chassis damage, but what you have done is more than good enough. Looking forward to whatever the next project is. (have you seen the 488 on copart? ;) )
Indeed! I have really enjoyed this one too! Certainly a huge learning experience in this series!
I have seen the 488 and also the California last week that went very cheap! No- I didn’t buy it!
New project next week (something ‘normal’) 👍
Really enjoyed the videos great to see the Range Rover finished. People think it’s easy to make money out of salvage. But it is really hard to most of the time
So hard. Prices of salvage are through the roof since April 2020 too!
Thanks for the support Tim 👍🙌🏽
Brilliant project , shame about the costs mounting up and taking the cream off the rebuild , but you can be very proud of that project
Thank you Mark. It’s certainly provided a lot of interesting learning experiences and it’s been fun. A lot of positives outside the rebuild & time cost. 👍
Nice looking car although personally I wouldn't have lowered it but your car your choice. Enjoyed the drone video footage. If its any consolation quite a few of the U Tube salvage repairers seem to make a loss on a car occasionally. Serious about Salvage have a Mini that he thinks he'll make a loss on due to the price of parts - so you are not alone! Co-part fees seem high and assume the seller has to pay something similar to get the car into the auction.
Cheers Steve. I hear you about lowering a 4x4 - it was for aesthetic reasons only!
A lot of lessons learned in this series so I’m taking away the positives for sure!
Copart fees are extremely expensive and the price of salvage has shot up since April 2020 which makes it a lot harder to find a good deal, make a YT series and make a profit or break even at the end of it all. 👍
Well done from Adelaide Australia, I had to replace two door locks on my Evoque not fun... Good work on the build.
Thank you 🇦🇺 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Good to see that you've finished your Evoque project. Fortune favours the brave, and you were brave to take that one on. Looks like Alan will be your go to guy for chassis/frame work, and he's happy to work with you on new projects, which is great. Looking forward to your new projects for 2021. Good luck. 15K subscribers should be achievable shortly. 👍👍👍
Thank you. I think it’s lesson learned on this one and move onto the next.
Yes Alan is great and have certainly made a new friend out of all of this 👍
Been waiting on this one wow what a car the evoque is 😍😍
So the mates rates also included the use of the garage space? That really is mates rates. My mechanic is also called Alan & everything he does is for his mates. Alan's are definitely worth knowing
Yeah. Amazing right. Defo a mate for life there. What a legend Alan is. 👍🙌🏽
I agree
Loved the series sam loved Alan also great content and a learning curve keep up the good work looking forward to the next project stay safe mate 👍 🍻
Thank you mate. Really appreciate it.
Learned loads and have a lot of positives to take from this build- especially Alan! Thank you. Stay safe too 👍 🍻
It made perfect sense for your subscribers ! Highly interesting content well done
Thank you 👍
First thing SL rebuilt happy New year to u and it's nice to see u back on here mate. Alan done a great job and the build u done to, top job mate keep up the good work bro Rob the Welsh boy 👍👍🏴🏴
Cheers Rob 🏴 Happy New Year to you too! 👍🙌🏽
At the end of the day the cost can be overlooked because you do now have a lot of car for it. Great vid long may you continue as its nice to watch sumthink interesting as a fellow damage repairer.
Thank you Paul 👍
Well done getting it finished looks great, was slightly concerned to begin with but great result
You and me both 😂. Thank you 🙌🏽
Great video might no have made any money but great lessons learned for all of us thanks
For sure 👍👍🙌🏽
Nice series Sam which I have been watching with great interest. My wife's Evoque pure was rear ended just before Christmas and after some irritating problems with the insurance I finally have it back. I love the idea of getting it lowered especially with the 20 inch rims makes it look awesome. Could you let me know what suspension you used / changed ? costs? regards.
Hi Gary. Thanks for watching. That’s such a shame. I hope you get it sorted.
I used Bilstein coilovers. They were originally supplied by urban automotive at a cost of £1400 (Ish). I got them secondhand for £150. It was a case of taking the old struts out, removing the top mounts and then putting these ones in. About half a days work if you are proficient in doing this stuff. 👍
Well done, came out all good in the end
Quality!!!!! Well done mate can’t wait till next week 😃
👍🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thing is, you did it! Many would’ve given up, many would bang it blank through Copart etc, you did it that’s worth more then any money. Alan is a contact and friend for life so again cost free. Also suspension and headlights were bargain! Roll on the BM project... ;)
Thank you Simon. So many positives to take away from this. Hahaha 🤫 👍
Really enjoyed the videos. Well done Sam (and Alan).
Thank you Barry!! 🙌🏽👍
Great video mate - great detail and very informative, I like your honesty too.
You are right about the cheesy jumping tho 😆 …. However great job 👍🏻
👌🏼👌🏼 it’s the only way to learn..
Brilliant to see this completed man! Alan is some man. Great content and will stand to you for the next one. Think white runners were a bad choice for that field though!😂
Thank you! Glad to have it completed too 🙌🏽. Alan is such a great guy 👍
100% the wrong foot ware choice. Another lesson learned there too 😂 👍
Such an incredible job, well done! Alan is a dude!
Thank you bud! Hope you are well! What a guy Alan is 🙌🏽👍
It looks great and you've learned new skills. You have also found new technical expertise (Alan) and a workshop to use in future. All this and you've broken even. I would call that a result.
Thank you Martyn.
You are certainly right. A lot of positives from this series 👍
hi thank you for sharing good video and good luck for the future
Looking fantastic now she's finished
Cheers Michael. Thanks for following throughout too 🙌🏽👍
Very interesting build good job brother. Got to say it was good go see how Alan fixed the damage watches these video a novice can learn a lot. I get what people mean about the car and the cost but in this game you dont know what the total damage is until the car is taken apart and then the car has to be repaired correctly so some time you win other times you lose this is the risk that is involved. Dont take what these guys are saying to heart you carry on. Too many keyboard warriors these days.
Cheers bud. Yeah I’m not too worried about the comments. I’ve learned a lot, the car looks great and far more positives and knowledge gained which outweigh profit for sure 🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@SLRebuilt Very true knowledge learnt which could be used once you get the equipment and cut the middle man out.
good work lads, Alan was a great find.
Well done to you all 👍👍Love it and keep the videos coming 😀👍😀
👍👍👍👍👍🙌🏽
You win some you lose some, alright you’re not going to retire on the profit but you’ve gained knowledge, you’ve made a new contact in Alan who, it seems won’t run for the hills if you need him again and you’ve had good content for the channel. I’d say tats a win in the long run. 👍
Thank you. Yes this is certainly a lesson learned. Taking the positives is that it didn’t put me in a massive hole and I’ve gained a great friend in Alan too 👍
Really well done, looked for a while as though you had bitten off more than Alan could chew! The pair of you did a great job and although you may not have made any money on it, I am sure that you have gained some subscribers with the interesting content. As a fellow Peterborough area dweller, nice to also see some familiar sights, where was that church out of interest?
Thank you Stephen. Certainly a lesson learned and a lot of positives to take away! Thanks for staying tuned throughout- I certainly felt like I bit of more than I could chew for a few weeks during this build!
The church was in Upton 👍
Be proud how you fixed that car you n Alan did amazing job even if don't make profit you can you did the work good luck with your nx car 👍
Thank you Dave! A lot of positives to take away from this which are bigger than profits
@@SLRebuilt don't think you Will buy one as bad in future but if you do got experience to fix it am sure Alan wud give you his experience 👍
@@davecooke914 never say never. Just need a good deal on it 😂
Alan is a great bloke and will certainly feature in some up and coming builds 👍
Enjoyed watching this build . Now do a volvo
nice touch with Alan there, he grafted hard on that A frame :p
He really did. A friend for life found here. 👍
I believe that It's always better to go out and do something rather than sitting on your arse all do moaning about how shitty the life is.
You win some and you loose some, but the experience you gained is priceless and no one is going to take that away from you.
I've enjoyed every single episode, keep up the good work!
Thank you very much. A lot learned and have made a great friend in Alan which means more builds coming which I probably wouldn’t have considered before! Thank you 👍
Well done guys, in my country this would be cost 20000£
Great vid.
It looks great well done Alan
👏 for sure. Alan is the hero in all of this 🙌🏽
My brother and me have watched this from day one, we both been in the accident repair business all our lives.
We have enjoyed watching this series on the range rover to be honest but right from when we first set eyes on it we knew you would lose money & not worth the effort!
We both think that alan was doing too many cuts & welds to be honest, and with the right mounting jig with pulling equipment that (A) post could have been repaired.
Anyway, it is what it is & at least you got it finished!
Felt sorry for the guy with the C63, but NEVER buy a car with that value without looking at it first!
Cheers Roy! Appreciate the comments. There’s certainly a number of ways to repair things- people who have been in the business for years find their own niche that works for them. Understand completely what you have said and love the comments too. Thank you 👍
@@SLRebuilt totally agree with you about everyone has their own way of doing things, I suppose it's all down to trying to be as cost effective as possible.
Obviously it helps massively with cost if you can do ALL the work yourself.
Only advice I can offer is be SUPER careful with these total loss cars & inspect them personally and take that Alan with you if you can. (I've had my trousers down in the past) so talking from experience mate!
Looking forward to your next project.
Really interesting to watch this content and it turned out really well , albeit still needs rear window tints ;)
Thanks for being honest about it. You might not have made money but you ar wiser and will make money in the future 👍💪
🙌🏽🙌🏽👍👍
Nice job for the both of you (Alan)
👍🙌🏽
even though your not the cheapest etc, I've noticed you don't skimp on the bits that need doing, and the paintjob and the rest of the quality is main dealer quality!! Car looks great!! by the way usually when buying the same colour panels can you get away with not painting it or does it usually still need blending etc? thanks
Thank you.
For paint matches, I’ve found it really depends on a number of variables. The main variable is if either car the panels are coming from and going on to has been painted after factory. If so, likely they will not butt up match. That was the case on my build. I have used panels which match up previously and they are fine- the Audi S5 project front wing wasn’t painted. 👍
Excellent bud, that looks sweet as a nut top job, looking forward to seeing the next project 👍👍👍👍
Cheers Matt. Got there in the end even if it wasn’t financially viable 😂
This is not a reflection on you personally ............but fixing even lightly damaged cars is a mugs game and to risky as you have found out, financially you have taken a beating more so when you come to sell and you cannot get anywhere near the price you expect. Granted you have went a little overboard customising the car to your own tastes which is a good thing but in order to get value from this project you will have to keep it for quite a while. Good luck on the next project but buy wisely my friend.
I have to disagree with you when you say it wasn't worth it. You have actually gained more, such as an artisan as Alan who is now a friend and will be there for you in future efforts. A learning curve that will see you in good stead and a project that as kept the interest going for many weeks. So I say well done.
Thank you very much. I totally agree with you. So many positives from this (regardless of profit or loss) I have learned so much and have gained an amazing friend too! Thank you. 👍🙌🏽
Very honest report thanks
👍 glad I can show the ups and downs. Not always profit in these and a lot of risks. Positives from this is I’ve learned a lot and have made some great contacts 🙌🏽
great job done but how did you get the headlights to work i have done the same up grade and main beam wont work been told i will need to re-program the CCF files
The avenger 4x4 guys are going to sort that out for me. £60 for CCF settings 👍
Good result so what if it didn’t work out financially at least you didn’t give up and made it better than it looked before and after all that hard work it will stay in your family. I’ve been their and done that kind of work buying from copart you never know what you will get I’ve learned my lesson and won’t ever do anything like that again but at least you completed your project and learned from it well done. 👍
Thank you. Certainly a few lessons learned on this project. Taking away a lot of positives which will help for future builds. Thanks for the positivity too 🙌🏽🙌🏽👍👍
Wasn’t worth it but you had fun and that’s the main thing! In other news Range Rover has 4 current recalls outstanding on your car so don’t forget to give them a call and book it in 👍
Thank you very much. 👍

Filming question. Does some one film the drive away shots or do you risk leaving your camera on the tripod and hope nobody touches it by the time you get back? Also drone shots do you film them while some one else drives ?
Leave on tripod and drive out of shot and then stitch 3-5 shots back in together to make it looks seamless.
Drone- yeah someone in the passenger seat controlling the drone whilst I drive 👍
Well done.👍👍👍
Wow Great series..! What size tires and rims did you put on ? And how much did the Blisten coilovers lower vehicle?
My had had the same exact issue with the door lock on his evoque when he bought it, it was also on the passanger door.
