Please, need an insight from you! Will Mercedes put the 2x12" continuous display on the GLC (like they did in GLA or GLE)? Or will they stick to the separate displays from gauges and central display?
I always find that premium compact cars/SUVs from BMW, Audi, MB, Lexus and Volvo are fantastic buys. Because they are volume sellers the quality, driving characteristics and practicality are great because the manufacturers take the time to make vehicle that feels a cut above and appealing for people looking to break into the premium segment.
The subtle digs at people who want to buy a car just to flex makes the reviewer super unlikable. I’m not looking for a car to put on insta, I’m looking for a vehicle that I enjoy getting into every day
GLC has "Heat and noise-insulating front side glass" as a non-standard option for $150. I think it might be a membrane instead of double-paned but still makes a notable difference I heard
If it is anything like the one on E-class (although E-class has the glass all round) it makes a huge difference. Driving without it is almost like driving with your windows open in terms of outside noise.
Totally unrelated but I just got a 2019 Kia K900 with 4000 miles in it for $38,000 with the full warranty and it is AMAZING, I had just rented a 2020 BMW 740i last week and it feels nearly identical!! Such a bargain!! I was debating get the new G80 vs this and having driven both I think I made the right decision! If I’m ever on NC I’ll let you review it! 😉
Hi Kevin, our friends in the UK just bought this exact model and they love it as they have had a number of Mercs. They did say it was a step up in build quality and also ride quality, the only gripe was a little to much engine and road noise if you have a heavy right foot apart from that a great SUV. Excellent review on this nice SUV. Thanks Brenton🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
That's awesome my friend! Yea I probably should have mentioned the 4 cylinder in mercs is probably louder than it probably should be but yea overall pretty decent daily for sure thanks so much for stopping by!
I'll never really grasp why Mercedes use such good looking and comfy materials but have such low quality or solidity to them especially if Genesis I able to do it and have good/latest tech which Lexus is criticized for. Great video and I'm glad you actually liked this car, I'm not always dure if ill like it bc it feels like they do put enough thought into their vehicle, and the amount of options there are is always suspect
I plan on factory ordering a GLC next week. This will be my first vehicle ever that I own. I drove my ex’s 2020 AudiQ5 for a year and really enjoyed it. Features I found useful were the enhanced sound system, 360 camera, heated/ventilated seats, and heated steering wheel. I live in Chicago. I never used the kick open trunk feature. The four zone climate control, as well as the head up display. A waste of money for me on these features. Would you say the ride experience of the GLC is similar to the Q5?
Yea that's crazy I think the GLC63s can be had for around $80k in the States hate when cars are overpriced but I've noticed vehicles can cost 2-3x as much in other countries compared to the United States
I honestly wouldn’t put this on Instagram. But definitely get your money’s worth for it. It’s kinda of crazy how American vehicles are starting to get more expensive than European luxury
If you can please test drive a RWD C300 from this generation with the AMG Line. It’s the lightest sportiest non AMG we get in the US and its such a fun little car. Family has one fully loaded out and I love it. Also I always too recommended the Burmester especially being $850. One of the best stereo upgrades for the money in any brand. Also a pro owner’s tip, if you pull the cup holder lid back down a bit you can fit your large phone there. My 6.7” 12 Max fits in there pretty well but it’s obviously a little bit of an overthought.
I would probably go with the X3 since it’s cheaper and smoother 2022 X3 is great Benz was cool but engine is not as smooth and interior isn’t quite as solid
@@MeynMotorGroup I was hoping you’d say that as I just bought a 2022 x4. I was considering a glc 300 coupe but didn’t wanna wait 6 months for the build (x4 took only 6 weeks), so I didn’t even test drive one. Thanks for the reply!
Nice! Massive congrats yea 6 weeks is amazing a very decent wait time. I wanted to like the Benz but really you gotta spend minimum 70k and get the E series Benzes for it to be worth it. I think you will enjoy the X4 solid machine
yes that car looks good!!! however ( this is personal story , so it doesn't mean shit) : my sister and her husband had a 2014 S550 which they traded for a GLC300 in late 2019 ( the S550 had an issue that would cost over 4K to fix)...unfortunately, their GLC300 had issue from the start ( brand new one! ) they went back and forth with the dealer ( which was not the most pleasant people) and was finally declared a Lemon ( FL law)...They now drive a 2021 VW Atlas ( bigger and cheaper...LOL )....ANYWAY, I just wanted to share for fun...LOL ...personally , I drive a 1993 mercedes W124 400E and NO issue ( 265K miles)
Really is my favorite suv I have had. If I really have to complain, my 2019 model did not have Apple Play and Mercedes navigation is SO bad. Second thing I don’t like is that the parking radar does not have warning bars on screen and no warning sounds (BMW and Audi are much better for this feature).
Well that was close to 100 mph 😆 70ish not bad but I def think Lexus RX350 is quieter. But if you want to stay in the benz family the GLE is where it's at in my opinion
Oh but I can compare it and I will especially since they cost around the same price. As a good journalist should, I must inform the buyer of other options especially ones in the same price bracket so they can make an educated buying decision. If a larger option with more value is available, the people should know about it.
Just ordered a Mercedes GLC 300 AMG Line Premium Plus cant wait for it to arrive in May. This was after ordering and cancelling a Lexus NX 450+, which in my view was fairly sluggish and too revvy, did not like the CVT transmission either
I don't agree with u bro. I have a 2019 x3 and it blows the glc away. It looks like an old lady's suv. Bmw drives better and definetely handles better. This thing is boring. You have your wires crossed.
WOW, you don't know how true your comment is. I currently (as of yesterday) drove a 2022 BMW x4 m40i (beautiful brookly grey), sold it for a 2019 GLC 300 4matic with AMG packaging..LOL At 60 I said the GLC is more my speed, more 'old lady like', but that is OK for me. I did look badazz in the beamer, but I didn't drive it much at all. Now someone else can enjoy that lovely and fun vehicle. I also walked away with nearly 30k to put in my bank after the sell of the x4 🙂

I should have made digs at this overly sensitive society.
I’m sorry you got offended by a critique. No need to get defensive
I'm sorry YOU got offended by a remark that was never targeted to you.
Who??
If you just want a vehicle you enjoy everyday and takes you point a to b your not gonna buy a Benz

Really nice car. I miss the days of the more boxy/angular look though (such as around ~2013)

@@MeynMotorGroup your welcome.
It's so hard to keep up with all of MB's SUV/crossover offerings. I swear it feels like between models and trims there are 100 permutations
And they make coupe models 😆
You actually provide real reviews, instead of marketing spec-sheet lectures. Thanks!
Thank you my friend glad you appreciate the content
Hahah I love your jokes about doing it for the ‘gram. I just got this beauty and I love it. Great review !

New RDX, Q5, or this GLC? I know they are apple and orange. But just want to know the opinions. I have 19 RDX and don’t like it much.

I like the car Kevin but with a start price from 68K ( 2L Turbo 208 HP ) and with a little bit of options 85K ( Germany ) it´s to expensive for me.
Oh wow that is a lot
@@MeynMotorGroup yea a lot of money for a compact SUV and fully loaded the price go over 100K.

I know you recently review the 2022 x3 and said it was much better then the 2020. Can you let me know if you prefer the current X3 or GLC and why?
