I’m Australian, I have never heard a song that makes me feel so patriotic. Watching the chaos in America from the other side of the world is heart breaking, it has gone too far, America has some troubled history as almost every country does, but the past is the past, tearing down statues won’t erase it, America is no longer a bad place, it is the greatest place on earth to be a minority now, and it doesn’t deserve the disrespect. I’d gladly fight to defend the USA.
Thank you for your comment Mike. It made this American heart swell BIG. ❤️🇺🇸 & btw - Australia is pretty bad@ss too. We are all going through a culture war right now.
It is humbling to hear people from other countries feel this. We ain't perfect, only Jesus was. This song apparently goes beyond our boarders. It is the hope and love for all Freedom loving people.
Thank you very much for reacting to this incredible song - even as a non-American, I can feel the emotion it stirs. Adam, the military band - and the flypast - this really does showcase how good he is. And I loved the way they were able to tie the geography to the singers, Rob from Minnesota, the female sergeant from Nashville, Tennessee , Tim from Texas and Chance, originally from Alabama and now lives in California, from sea to shining sea.
As a Veteran of the US Army, this song always brings a tear to my eye, especially the chorus. After all, we Veterans have never been absolved of our oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, and the chorus says it all. "AND I'D GLADLY STAND UP, NEXT TO YOU, AND DEFEND HER STILL TODAY!"
This song always makes my heart swell with American pride! Lee Greenwood said that he enjoyed doing this video so much because he had the freedom to sing all the little extras. He didn't have to stick with just the melody. Amazing to see how great his voicestill is at 77 when this was recorded! That line where Lee Greenwood asks God to Please Bless The USA! Took my breath away and brought tears to my eyes! ❤
This song makes my heart swell with pride. I love the song and Lee Greenwood, the USAF Singing Sergeants, and Home Free make it a classic. Every branch of the military has been represented by my family....my dad (Army Air Corps) in Normandy, my youngest daughter (Air Force) in Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, and Oman, and my oldest grandson (Air Force) recently returned from overseas. Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard...thank you for protecting this wonderful country as well as the freedom we enjoy. Thank you D. Lynn for your beautiful reaction.
watching this on 9/11/2020 brings me right back to 2001 when I was a freshman in high school after the attacks and this song was playing to a UNITED America.
This is such a stirring, patriotic song - you don't have to be American to appreciate it (I'm Canadian). The addition of the U.S. Air Force band and Home Free has elevated a good song into a great one. It's sad that the U.S. has become so politically and ideologically divisive - not trying to meet in the middle doesn't bode well for anyone..
Beautiful collaboration! I felt that pride! I needed that right now in these times. I haven't felt that patriotic pride in a while. Their voices were stunningly beautiful together! God please bless us...in spite of us!
Hi! I've only watched this video and one voctave reaction channel, but I wanted to thank you for doing great research into the groups you review so that everyone can be informed at the start of the video.
I saw a woman in my gas station (North of Pittsburgh) today with your former hair color who looked a bit like you, I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't you and you had colored your hair again. I really enjoy your reactions.
Hi D. Lynn!! First off, no need to apologize, "DAMN" was the appropriate response after listening to this arrangement for the first time. I'm glad Marla got this to you. I definitely wanted to hear your reaction. I'm glad that we have the technology to be able to pull off videos like this too. And I'm ESPECIALLY glad that Home Free is making such wonderful use of it. The stuff they are putting out during this time I think rivals the videos they did before when they could all be in the same studio. Many Props to Darren for that one!! I'm glad you're staying safe because I would hate it if something happened to you!! I hope you have a FANTASTIC 4TH holiday weekend!! I'll be looking out for your next video. Did you finally ever get to watching the making of this video? What did you think? Studios in 4 different cities across the country? AMAZING!
Hey @DiamondRioFan1! Yep, I'm staying as safe as possible! And, I agree that Home Free is pushing the envelope when it comes to these quarantine recordings! I didn't watch the BTS...I wanted to go into the reaction not knowing anything! So now, I will watch...I'm curious! I hope you enjoy yourself this weekend...Happy 4th!
This song brings a tear to my eye every time and it has always represented our country for all that we dealt with in the past and continue to deal with today. We sang this in middle school at 1 of our concerts. Have a safe and Happy July 4th and God Bless.
Same @Christine F. We had a little patriotic play when I was in 4th grade. We sang that and other songs so many times! But, I still see how powerful it is, no matter what we're going through. Like you said, it represents us, Americans. _All_ Americans! Happy 4th!💜
Christine F the original one at mt Rushmore was the first time I saw these guys. My heart was filled at the beautiful way they sand it and Adam omg...💕
First let me say that you are looking so beautiful these days. This video gave me the chills from beginning to end. And yes, maybe I shed a tear or two. The making of this video is something you'll want to see, even if it's just for yourself. Lee greenwood opens up about how he never had as much liberty with his own song, as he did with recording with the guys. It also highlight the USAF singers, too. Very informative. Thank you, D. loved your reaction, as always.
Thank you @Cindy Flory for the compliments!😊 I was surprised to read that Lee Greenwood didn't have the creative liberty with his own song that he should have...I'm glad that he got it now! This was indeed a great collaboration, and now I probably will check out the making of for myself...I hope you have a great 4th of July weekend... Be well!
I really like it when you give the background of the songs. This song has been one of my favorites since Lee Greenwood put this out originally. I was very impressed about Adam's drumming in their first version. He is so much better now., he is amazing. I really don't know how come they said it was the Air Force Band. It is really the AF Singing Sergeants. The first version gave me the chills, and this one is even more amazing!.
Just for fun, look up Ashley Keeks. She’s one of the Singing Sargents in the Air Force Band. She was on another assignment and not in this video (darn it). She’s the daughter of a friend of mine. They have incredible vocalists. And of course, Home Free!!!! Always. ❤️
It makes me sad when ppl think this is home frees song I grew up on lee Greenwood singing this song his voice and this song are my child hood being a military brat
I always enjoy your reactions, but this is my favorite. I really appreciate the research you do and the effort you go to in order to share some historical perspective on any original versions of each song. It was obvious that this new collaboration surprised you, and I loved your detailed reaction to it. It IS very special to see the effort that went into bringingvthe song to us in these very difficult times. Happy 4th!
YES! Someone that understands....I still feel the emotions of it, but it was just overplayed, I think, when I was young and dumb, lol! Thank you for watching anyways...have a great weekend!😁
Happy 4th, D!!! You're looking especially nice in that peasant blouse. This particular version brought tears to the eyes of this old AF vet. As always, a great reaction.
Aw, you're so kind @Ted Harvick! It's a pretty good song if it can still stir the emotions all these years later! Hope you have a great holiday weekend!😁💜
D!!!! It was so amazing.....and Lee can still SING & BRING IT !!! I've felt to ashamed of being an American for well, since 2016 (you know why), but this for a moment, is allowing that pride to come flowing back. Yes how proud are we with those Air Force soldiers, they are singing angels. Much love to you & have a very Happy 4th weekend. Please do a reaction to Home Free's Lonely Girl's World....I think you'll love the message....c ya :)
No matter what happens, the bigger picture is that we _are_ Americans, and we should be proud. We bounce back when the going gets tough. I believe it, and I believe that if everyone treated each the way we want to be treated ourselves (old adage), we'd be unstoppable! Btw, I reacted to Lonely Girl's World here: ua-cam.com/video/3XvbibsrVwA/v-deo.html
That was Incredible!! Lee’s additions of “God Bless this Country” & “God Please Bless this Country” made it even More Special!! My only wish is that scenes of HF singing this in front of Mt. Rushmore would have been included as well!! This is by far the BEST performance to come out of quarantine! for everyon
This was so emotional and loved it. On repeat. We definitely needed it right now. And Adam's beatboxing 💯his flyby sound he made. There is a behind the scenes HF put up as well for this
First time seeing a reaction video of yours and just subbed D Lynn :). Not from the US but this song gives me chills, the words and the beautiful vocals and harmonies blending together are so inspiring. Love your commentary both pre, during and post your reaction especially your diligent research and your heartfelt genuine response to this song, will check out more of your videos. Also, if you do get a chance and if you haven't heard it, please react to _"RAIN"_ by *THE TESKEY BROTHERS* - link: ua-cam.com/video/IhgxZ8tmBxU/v-deo.html . They're a Blues/Soul band from Australia where I'm from and this video just features the Lead Singer Josh singing his heart out to a backing track of his band. Anyways, sorry for the rant lol, look forward to more of your future reactions - Be Blessed :).
Hey, thank you for the kind words, for watching and for subscribing...Welcome To My Channel! I'm happy that you enjoyed the reaction...it will take me awhile to get to your suggestion, but I will!😁
Spot on with the reaction! Agreed with everything you said. The singing sergeants were awesome, Lee himself was great even at his age. Home Free was of course great, but I'm glad you highlighted the beatboxing! It's unbelievable with the military drumming and especially the jet flyover at the end! Just wow!

I Love your reaction and comments. One of the absolute best reaction videos of 15 that I have seen.
I will never get tired of that song!
I Love the USA! God bless it!
Adam's "flyover" sound effect at the end was incredible!

D Lynn you look beautiful!! I love Austin, too!! Amazingly awesome video!! Lee killed it along side of Home Free and USAF!❤
Thank you!😁 They did that thing, didn't they? Did it twice, lol!
Wow that was truly amazing!!
All amazing vocals. Got to hand it to Lee Greenwood sounding that good still at (I think) 77.
