As a child I used to think they were brothers Ronnie and Jimmy it's kind of sad how they haven't talked in all those years.
They were promoted as brothers….I was today years old when I found out their not brothers!!!

Doesn't seem like Ronnie or Jimmy liked each other from all the Shoot Videos I've seen with both.
From a Jimmy Garvin interview I've seen these two weren't close. Ron wasn't much older than Jimmy and he married his mom, so I don't think that sat too well with Jimmy. They seldom talked or kept up with one another. As a kid I was never really a big fan of either wrestler. Although I always thought Jimmy Garvin had a pretty cool gimmick with his fancy attire and Sunshine for his manager.
Ronnie and Flair trading "chops" was a site to be held! Tough men!
Many people thought Flair was a pretty boy,but he was probably one of the toughest when it came to taking punishment and handing it out.
Jimmy has said they don't and never speak and in one radio interview said there was more to the story about him ( Ronnie) marrying his mom and he didn't like it..

I don't know how Ronnie feels about Jimmy... but Jimmy Garvin wrote a LONG article which included how he felt about Ronnie. Let's just say there's no love lost there... I have it saved somewhere... because it was posted on some kind of shoddy site that I knew wouldn't be around for long (all apologies if it's still up today :) but if it is you can read the article yourself!) It was a great read. He talked about his pilot career, and how he and Ronnie were never close... and how he felt Macho Man and Liz were a ripoff of him and Precious. You guys should see if you can find it.
I heard Jimmy is mad and still holds a grudge for Ronnie setting Jimmy up for Pat Paterson to have a go at him in the early 70s. I think Jimmy was 16 or 17

Basically she remarried kinda fast so Jimmy wasn't over his fathers death yet and Ron is only 8 years older than Jimmy so he didn't see him as a father figure since they had nothing in common other than wrestling . Neither seems to really care either way .

I met Ronnie at the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame a few years ago. I enjoyed talking to him. He told me that when he got his start in pro wrestling, he didn’t even speak English.
