  • Today we add the off road bumper to the Truck! We went with an ADD Stealth Fighter, Warn 12,000 Evo winch and Baja Designs lights. The install wasn't easy but the guys over at Halolifts did a great job with it!

    I just added one to my 21 Lariat 5.0. I don't have an intercooler or front sensors. My install was a breeze! $4k for the bumper and a 40" Rigid Radiance, and 4 hours in my garage. Yours sounded like way more work! Looks great

    I'm so glad I found your video. This is exactly what I want to do to my 2022 Tremor, but didn't know what to expect. Would you recommend that I do the inter cooker first and then the bumper? Lastly, I saw that your sticker in the front windshield was from Texas. Do you know of a good reputable off-road shop that I can get this done at?

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  Рік тому +1

      Best to do them both at the same time. To get to intercooler the bumper pretty much has to come off. You might try CB Adventure Supplies in Fort worth. Or Call Karl at Platinum Ford North Pilot Point. He was going to do my install but I had Halolifts do it in Colorado. Thanks for watching 👀

    Just picked up my V8 Tremor a couple days ago. Looking over winch mounting options. I was wondering about all electronic nannies being in the way. Also when I was looking at adding extra leaf springs in the back I noticed they have an adjustment rod for the dynamic headlights. Not sure if I'm going to keep it. And up date my 15 . Put a torsion differential in the front and some more suspension upgrades.

    • @TremorTrails

      Definitely lots of plastic and sensors everywhere on the truck. I'm curious about new leaf springs. Lifting the truck a couple more inches would be nice.

      @@TremorTrails I run a super pacific x1 and a decked system . Defiantly sags the back end. The 15 i put on air bags, but the tremor I'm going to go with extra springs. The payload on the 23 is 300lbs less than my 15. They are both optioned about the same.

    • @TremorTrails

      @@bucket1249 upgrading to better shocks helped all the sag in the truck. I'm running the Halolifts mountain package and can get quite a bit of weight in the back now.

      I ended up welding up my own aluminum storage system. Got rid of the deck drawer, and my drop down fridge slide. I lost about 320 lb. I've got the V8 with no intercooler so I might have to weld up my own winch mount bracket to the front. I did end up putting helper springs on the back. Hopefully I can get some King shocks that will fit. Nobody seems to be making accessories for it yet.

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  Рік тому +1

      If enough of us get loud enough maybe some manufacturers will take notice and start adding accessories. I mean the f150 is only the number 1 selling vehicle in the country 🤷

    Mine came in today, gonna start installing it this weekend, intercooler relocation and all-hope I don’t mess it up.
    Is it easy to add/remove lights once the bumper is fully mounted? My BD lights won’t get in for a bit but really want to start this ASAP.

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  7 місяців тому +1

      No, you'll have to wait to install after lights. Unless they are singles. Unfortunately, to get my 40 arc bar out, the bumper has to be almost off. Also, make sure to mark the bumper sensors before taking them out of the stock bumper. Good luck! It's a bad ass bumper.

    • @KMacArthur92
      @KMacArthur92 7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the heads up, I got the intercooler out today and there was definitely oil in there, I'll have to add that catch can a bit later. I actually realized after I took all the sensors out that they're PTM white and went to ford to pick up some non painted sensors and retainer clips--i'll have to figure out the sequence. Last question (hopefully), the instructions mention a skid plate mounting bracket, one for lifted and one for stock suspension, do you know if you used the lifted bracket as the tremor sits higher than a regular F150? (Step 15 on the bumper install PDF for reference). THANKS!! @@TremorTrails

    Did you notice and performance improvement/ gas improvements with the new Innercooler?

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  Рік тому

      Thanks! Actually yes. A very slight bump up on fuel by 0.4 mpg. I didn't lose weight I added it. So my only real guess is, Is that the motor likes having the intercooler getting cleaner air?

    • @markely7587
      @markely7587 Рік тому +1

      @@TremorTrails supposedly the aftermarket Innercooler flows air 30% better than stock keeping cooler temperatures, which helps the engine breath better. My only concern is how much heartburn is a dealership going to give me on any engine warranty issues that may come up after putting an aftermarket intercooler on a new 75k truck.
      I really enjoy your channel keep up the great content!

      I can't answer for you 100% what I can say is. I've had my truck at the dealer several times for warranty work and have never had an issue. I guess if my turbo went out, they might could push back. But 60k is all you get anyway. I'm unfortunately past low mileage these days.

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  Рік тому +1

      Yes 1 and 2. 1 has the most available power so the 40in is on it. The number 2 we had to put a relay between so the side lights would draw as much power. I'd go with smaller side lights if I did it again.

    Looks great!!! Wish you did a full walk around it more so we could see it better as well as some video of it in use. 👍
    Off topic of bumper. I’m looking at trading in my 2022 F250 tremor 6.7 powerstroke for a 2023 F150 tremor. Diesel costs in Canada is horrible! DEF gone up too! 😞
    So, looking for opinions on 3.5 vs 5.0 and opinion on a lift to fit 295/70/R18 tires. I don’t want a level, I’d like to keep the rack because I do tow and the back will get loaded. Thoughts on what I could do for a lift???
    I thank you in advance for your advice.
    Yours truly
    Zane

      So on the lift go with Halolifts. I still have rake in mine. The coilovers are adjustable so you just lower them slightly. With the mountain package you put a larger block in the back. Check out the Halolifts video on the channel for more info. As far as motor. I personally love the 3.5. More torque and faster then the Coyote. Better gas mileage too. All around a way better motor for the truck. Only way it would make sense is if you want to turbocharge it. But why when you have the 3.5. I got rid of my F250 Platinum diesel when I bought the Tremor. Never looking back at diesel again! Fuel prices where and are stupid.

      @@TremorTrails Hi there. Thanks for the speedy reply. Much appreciated! Did you have to crank up the adjustment when you installed the bumper due extra weight?
      Agreed on 3.5. We have 4 F-150 with 5.0 and sadly we got them in 2019 right when all the oil consumption issued happened.
      I was leaning between 3 trucks, ZR2 but very small fuel tank, it’s huge, I hate the front end. The new Tundra but apparently they are having turbo issues, no tailgate step of any kind, disliked the interior and no front diff lock. So the Tremor is checking all the boxes except the nightmare of trying to get an aftermarket bumper put on but that goes with all vehicles nowadays.
      Agreed. My F250 is a tank but too big for my needs.
      Any issues with and sensors on the bumper install? I’m looking at a Road Armour Stealth Pre Runner or Lone Star bumper. Waiting on reply from the company to see if the inter cooler has to be moved.
      I wish Ford would have designed the Tremor with the inner cooler on top.

      The weight is a little heavier to stock just because of winch. But not noticeable over here. I'm running 2.5 coilovers which have more beef then the normal 2.0s most people put on their trucks. Road Armour makes a good bumper, but yeah you'll have to relocate intercooler.
