I'm not a railfan, but youtube seems to think I am, and so sometimes I get reccomended videos like this. I don't recognize any of the locomotives shown but this was fun to watch anyways.
@@BenStillDraws I live an hour away from her, so naturally, she's my favorite. She also has the most unique voice and is very much overlooked in the category of excursion stars.
If it ain't Lima built, it's crap...except Madame queen...she's Lima built in spirit...oh, also, for part two, you should add the Black Hills Central's two 2-6-6-2T's...the largest landlocked locomotives in operation, and my personal favorites. (I rode behind BHCRR 110 in 2014)
My favorite locomotive is the Missouri Kansas Texas railroad H-3a class 4-6-2 pacifics, *which are among the most obscure classes of pacifics from the Midwest and Southwest.* What would that say about me?🤔
@@BenStillDraws 😎I like alot of obscure locomotives Such as The Katy's C-2-a 0-8-0 switchers, the Chicago & Northwestern E2 pacifics, the Chicago & Alton i-6 pacifics, etc.
I consider the 765 and 1225 to be similar enough to be so similar that they are practically the same engine, although I have a slight preference to the 765 as she’s the first mainline steamer I remember seeing.
Also I'm deeply offended ( jk) the geared locomotive and specifically the hiesler is a amazing price of logging ingenuity that I fell in love with and I'm definitely not trying to be different 100% ( love you hiesler)
Part 2 will be made, leave suggestions in the comments!
how about more new york central engines? i really love the niagara's
475?
Pere marquette 1223/1225 and nkp 759. Also sierra railway 3
Southern 630,722,1401,and 4501
Can you please do the Australian VSR K class and R class
0:41 guess i will remain a kid

Honestly, same
WHERE IS 1225 RAHHHH
While 1225 and 765 are separate engines, they’re very similar engines so maybe you can count them together.
I am glad to know that 765 is getting the love she deserves
i love the hudson daylight and the t1 + bigboy and 107
0:19 I'm into the classics yup
Choose the right locomotive for the job at hand.

Maybe it's a calling. Accept it! (I'm just joking, you don't have to become a railfan if you don't want to.)
How about some of those beautiful Canadian Pacific steam locos. Classic lines and very well built!
He said AMERICAN. CANADA is not equal to AMERICA.
@CallMeCoal well, I’d consider Canadian locos because it is technically in North America
@@BenStillDraws True, true. But then again, America could also mean Central or South America. I'm thinking about this way too hard.
0:53 LEZ GOO 765 IS MY FRIEND SND MY FAVORITE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE OF ALL TIME!!!(I rode her twice)
I’ve rode her thrice. Once on the Joliet Rocket in 2018 and twice in Cuyahoga Valley in 2021 and 2022
Dead on for me, drove NKP-765 Sept 2017 , 30 min engineer seat, 30 min fireman seat. Dream come true on a favorite locomotive.
0:46 that is legit my favourite
That’s a first. Like specifically the Virginian version? The 2-8-8-8-4?
I like both of the versions (Erie 2-8-8-8-2 and Virginian 2-8-8-8-4) I think it was a very interesting experiment
I personally prefer the Erie version, so I’ll give it to you :)
Madame Queen, NKP 587 and 170! Totally unexpected.
With me, always expect the unexpected!
3751 Santa Fe Please 🙏🏻
NORFOLK WESTERN, THE SIX-ELEVAN CLASS J intensifies
I LOVE me that dryfus hudson from the new york central
Lol my favorite was the "Big Mike"
Honestly, mine is between the J3 hudsons and the Southern Railway 4501
I don't have a favorite; I like 'em all. . .
The garratts, big boys and streamliners are cool but nothing beats the classic 440 of the old west with its big smoke stack for burning logs
Nothing better than a narrow gauge gear-driven locomotive on an 8% grade. Yes, we are different.......
Well then, *CALL ME ANNOYING!*
0:15 glad im one of those then
765 is so accurate lol 😂
casual enjoyer of the USRA 0-6-0 because their adorable
I like the big boy❤
Mine was correct! 765 deserves more love and respect!
You’re so real for that!

I would say the IC 382 is pretty notable in history. Shame it isn't around anymore.
I was always partial to the basic Pacific & earlier Atlantic. Designed for passenger use - speed & efficient braking & less noise.
0:40 yes
You right
I’m picking Canadian Pacific number 3101, and nobody can stop me.
Valid
Union Pacific 4014 bug boy is my favorite
DM&IR Yellowstones are the best
Or the GN version
I love me the Berkshire.
Im not old, but I do love the best friend train
NYC No. 6000 I LOVE THE NIAGARA'S
Bro did my favourite train dirty. I'm not anyoing
I’ve actually seen the 1601 up close and I’m like 20 something miles from it!
never asked for the 611 but I still like the 611
i was asking myself during the whole thing, Where is the 611?
I pick the cab forward
Wheres Southern Railway 4501 or 630!?
Where is the Strasburg 475?
Y’know what? I’m just now asking myself that same thing…
This guy knows where it’s atttt 765 gang 👇
Yessir!

All U.S. steam locomotives are equal, but anything built or altered at Southern Pacific's Sacramento shops is more equal.
my favorite is GSMR 1702
Where's this one? Where's that one?
I like the prr k4s and the cursed Lima Berks not 1225 or 765.
I kinda like the shay
class
Big Boy is the goat.
Change my mind
What's so bad about a NYC Hudson or a PRR T1?
Did I say there was anything bad about them? I love them both honestly
I ment big boy
is my favorite
4014 Union Pacific
1522
the best steamer
00:56 611 mentioned?!?!
4449 the best
but the triplex is my favorite, like genuinely
That’s crazy
What about the ss1 duplex or the Q2
Make a australian version or 3801 is coming to you 💀
I stand tall as an 844 guy
My favorite locomotive is the Missouri Kansas Texas railroad H-3a class 4-6-2 pacifics, *which are among the most obscure classes of pacifics from the Midwest and Southwest.*

WHERE IS PRR K4 RAARRUUUHHHH
Okay, but I unironically like Shays tho
WhErEs nOrThErN NeVaDa 40?¿

S160
T1 is a fastest steam and now u said you don't like it.
S1 was probably faster

I feel like that was implied. I’m making a separate video of that.

What about New York central mercury!?!?!!?
Pinned comment
Guess the 9000 are not good enough. UP used them to an extreme
Read pinned comment. I love the 9000s, there are only so many spaces in this audio tho. Part 2 will be coming.
Illinois Central 382 anyone?
Would you be referring to the real IC 382, or Clinchfield 99 as she is painted?
Real 382. Not to put down 99 but you just gotta love the original!
You’re a real one for that
What about the atlantics there so cool
Also I'm deeply offended ( jk) the geared locomotive and specifically the hiesler is a amazing price of logging ingenuity that I fell in love with and I'm definitely not trying to be different 100% ( love you hiesler)
Where is 1225 my boy 😭😭😭
I consider 765 and 1225 to be similar enough to be counted as almost the same engine. I am making a part 2 to this though.
where's SP 4294
mines Strasburg 89
This is just my opinion, but I think 1225 is the superior Berkshire
That’s fair
What's wrong with 4449? :(
Nothing, it’s a joke lol.
Why is there no cheese locomotive
I’m sorry, WHAT?
Wait so I’m annoying because I like the class j
I mean, so do I, so I’m pretty annoying too lol
