What a great video. I have a broken left hand right now :-( And my new struts and shocks arrived today. Just replacing worn stock for stock. No air tools and NO way am I gonna tackle this one-handed--yer a badazz. Awesome, well spoken and detailed video................ Thank you.
Thanks for making this video, IT REALLY HELP!!!! Pretty much did what u did and Ta DA!! Coilovers install.......but it took me almost one day because, I have chicken arm and slow XD hehe. Either way, great video =)
Thanks Kevin - great video...helped me tremendously because I had problems figuring out how to take off rear interior panels and bottom shock bolt was stuck...but you helped me to solve those problems...Thanks Much....now I am smiling instead of cussing! LOL!
I did all 4 on my vehicle a while back and the front end stayed higher than the back end. They’re not adjustable coil overs either. Placed the proper sides where they belong but I didn’t measure them. Didn’t come to mind since I didn’t think I’d have the issue. The rear did camber a little bit just ordered camber adjustment arms to fix it. Not sure if that will fix the height gap from the front of the vehicle. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Hey Kevin i have a skunk 2 lowering sprin installed on my rsx. Im saving up to buy an rpf1 or a coilovers. Which one do you think i should get first? Also can you help me out with my offset if i go to buy an rpf1?
I wish you were local. I just bought the Koni yellow front inserts for my 2005 Acura RSX Type S. Looks like I'm going to have to do some adjustments on the stock housing to get these to fit properly. I've found some pretty detailed instructions online. My springs are still good. I'm replacing the sway bar endlinks on both fronts as well. I also bought new KYB top hats. Any advice before I begin? Where is your shop located?
Skipped over the only part I needed for installing the rears 😤😔 I’m having an issue with my Coilovers being to large to fit into the bracket where the bolt goes trough on the rear, did you have the same issue with your BCs (I have the DS type)
Remove the top bracket and see if it’ll fit. I mentioned in the video that on some cars (05-06) that have that bracket that may need to be loosen so you can fit the studs through. Watch the whole video lol
I am having a similar problem but the bolt won't align perfectly through, it will go through The first whole and through the bearing in the coilovers but won't go through the 2nd whole in the bracket connecting all of them together.
Jacc 40GB I figured it out and in the end it was the bracket that was squeezed together because the old coilovers I had, had a smaller bearing/hole for the bolt to go through. It’s a pain in the a** but what I had to do was bend/pry/hammer/heat/smash pretty much everything to get that bolt to line up and go through and screw in. Needless to say, my rear coilovers are prob NEVER coming off now just because of how hard it was to get them in
Bro, what center caps are those that fit rpf1s? What car are they from and what size are your wheels? Center cap shows as 64mm and I haven't found any Acura caps for them right size.
Instead of dicking around with a separated axle why not just remove the axle nut before you start? That's a "trick" to fix a problem that never should have existed in the first place.

Great video. Did the bottom of your new rear shock fit into the bracket ? The new ones seem wider at the bottom and don’t fit into the bracket. No?

Thanks man I really appreciate your videos great job!

I'd check some forums to see what people do to modify to make it work. They modify enkei stock caps and put a decal over it lol.
GAPIER HAHA 😂good video man.
Use extension and swivel extension to get that shock rear nut😂
YOU SAVE ME FOR FCK SAKE!!! THANK YOU!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
for the rear how do i adjust it? from the spring?
the locking rings, you need to loosen them and spin them up or down, depends on your desired height.
