Jodi was my therapist for a few sessions when my ex-wife and I went to couples counseling. She was a serious cyber bully to all the group therapy members. Awful women and an aweful therapist. Thank god she at the very least will never be a counselor and hopefully she will be convicted and given the maximum sentance. She is evil

Ruby Franke had with held presents from these 2 young children at Xmas and made them watch every one else in the family open gifts, then later laughed joyously recalling this scenario. She is and was malicious with or without Jody. In my opinion both women are horrifying.

The fact that there is like 10 “mental fitness trainers” trained by Jodi running loose in society is horrifying. There’s a whole slew of them working within the business and perform the same function that Ruby was. They teach 7 week courses on Jodi’s mental health fitness practices. Jodi needed new targets to torture, Ruby fit the mold by being an unfit mother, she was a very easy mark for Jodi to brainwash…so, she convinced Jodi to leave the children in her care, and we all now know what type of care they received while under Jodi’s roof.
This in NO WAY excuses Ruby, she has shown us that she is an unfit parent, she emotionally and mentally abused her children for years, along with her husband. I will say that, I don’t believe he knew how bad it had gotten for the children, while he was in the house there was no physical abuse to the children. Jodi made sure to keep him away so she could do whatever she wanted.
I believe she is a narcissistic psychopath, with sadistic tendencies. IMO, she is a very DANGEROUS person, PLUS, she is a flight risk.
When her niece Jessi escaped, she fled the COUNTRY, thinking/knowing that she could/should be jailed for her actions. She came back when things quieted down. She knew that Jessi didn’t have any proof about what she did to her. Jodi’s own daughter told Jessi, a couple of years ago that she can NEVER EVER be in the same room as her mother, EVER again, she even changed her last name so her mother couldn’t find her…Jessi is now working with the Detectives and the Prosecutors, and her case has been reopened.
Edit, Jodi’s two children were in her house at the same time that Jessi was, so they saw everything Jodi did to her. I know that her ex-husband gained custody of them at some point.

It's just so much garbage that it just doesn't make sense, whatsoever.
Most people are sure the only reason she made these claims is because she wanted to punish her son for being the one to escape, this way the state has to treat him as a deviant and keep him away from his siblings, basically keeping him isolated. She thrives on making her children miserable.

It gives insight into Jodi's tactics and ideology- it is incredibly common for her to convince her clients that they or their family members deal with issues related to "deviant" sexual behaviour and "perversions". When I heard what Ruby said in court, it practically mirrored the experience I've heard others share regarding the kinds of ideas Jodi perpetrates.

Jodi was really fixated on sex. I think she might’ve been SA’ed or assaulted as a child. Or as her niece suspected, maybe she’s gay. It could explain why she and Ruby were always together and basically living together and turned on Kevin. Its a 6 hour long interview. She systematically destroyed him using his history of being abused as a child and brainwashing his wife to psychologically torture him and get him kicked out of university, get him arrested, get his children taken away. And it might all have been because he was targeted by the mormon church due to changing the law in idaho regarding the statute of limitations for pedophiles. With all these weird and obsessive ideas about sex and shame, I wonder if Johdie was a repressed, self hating, closet lesbian? Hence the aspects of wanting to "cleanse" children of unclean desires, and how she obsessed over the idea that the children had "impure" thoughts and compulsions? Them just being a reflection of her own self hatred and disgust projected onto others? I can't imagine growing up in a morman household made that any easier. She probably grew up being constantly told that people who felt the things she did on the inside, were shameful, unclean abominations. Could also explain the weird relationship she had with Ruby as well.

Ruby made the false claims that her child was abusing other kids & cant be around other kids to abuse the child further through the courts. By making those claims, that child who escaped & got help will have to be separated from his siblings inside the the foster system by law so not only will he be further traumatized by losing contact with his siblings, he will be labeled as an abuser in public for life, which was likely her secondary reason for the false accusations. He will suffer due to the sibling separation because he won’t know that his younger siblings are ok, which is another layer of abuse. The oldest or older siblings in abusive homes often take over the parental role of caring for the younger kids & protecting them from the abuse when possible even if it means they get beaten more. I think this false accusation shows even more what an evil, horrible parent Ruby Franke is. I hope her & Jodi spend life or most of the rest of their lives in prison. The father needs to be put in jail for the abuse as well. Even if he didn’t know about the latest abuse, he backed up Ruby’s abuse in videos for years. 🤬🤬🤬

My heart goes out for the children.
The only thing I can say is I hope the system and everyone around those children do right by them.
The children have been through enough.
They need to thoroughly investigate this. No stone unturned.
I watched Jessie's interview, & there were people at the church, that saw something was wrong, & those people turned to the church to report it. Only for the church to turn around Jody what being said, nothing was done for Jessie, it only got her in more trouble. Then there were church members who literally saw duct tape over Jessie's mouth & said nothing. People reporting back to Jody. Jessie goes to the police, and does not believe her. Her parents, easily handed her over to Judy for almost a year. When she told her parents what Jody had done. Her parents told her not to tell anyone. To keep quiet.
The church, law enforcement, parents, all the adults around her, fail this 15 year old.
Out of all them not one stepped up.
Now you have Ruby's children. How many people failed those children? The system failed them. This is with good people neighbors who spoke up & tried to help, an older sibling who tried to help.
    Nothing was done.
It took a twelve-year-old child, with the courage enough to escape. It took physical wounds, evidence of tying them up. For people to finally do something.
    My heart aches for children.
I know CPS is under stuffed, over worked, under paid. I am so sick and tired of hearing this. When will our government do something about this.
I am in my forties and I remember my parents, talking about how CPS are under staffed, over worked, & under paid.
We can't accept job that's just how it.
I'm not blaming the people who worked in CPS, they're trying their best. When you're overworked and tired, your best is not good enough and it's not your fault.
This is not a new problem. We are talking about our children. Maybe I don't know enough politics. It's just that if I've been hearing about this problem for approximately 30 years, when does the government start to address it??
    Sorry for rambling & venting.
    Just very frustrating.

I have said for decades that if you break a bone you get help to fix it. Mental health help is just as important. The brain is so important, our whole body depends on the brain to help our body be healthy. A car (our bodies)won’t run smoothly if there is something wrong with the engine (brain).

This was one of your very best, Dr. Grande: thorough, well researched and perceptive. I would add that like Lori Vallow, both Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrant perverted their LDS belief in such an evil way that their children (and Jodi’s niece) had their sanity and bodies destroyed. Lori’s children were murdered, and Ruby’s two youngest children surely must have been within a few weeks or months from dying of malnutrition and dehydration. I listened to the 911 recording in which a nearby neighbor, who truly rescued the 12-year-old Franke boy even though the child was a perfect stranger, relayed to the operator what had occurred in his encounter with the boy. The neighbor rescued the boy first by believing him, then giving him something to eat and drink, and removing the duct tape that bound him. Most importantly, he called 911 to summon police and EMTs. Finally, after multiple complaints by many people, the law stepped in. It broke my heart to listen to the neighbor, a man, barely containing his tears and sobs as he reported on what the boy had told him about his mistreatment and also that the boy said it was his own fault that he had been punished. The other hero here is the twelve-year-old himself, who with his last bit of physical and emotional strength, and with his love for his younger sister, 10, had the courage to escape Jodi’s home to ask for help. It’s so heartbreaking!

They laughed hysterically and said I suffered more from their hands than they did mine. I threatened many punishments but rarely carried them out. When they were growing up there were no electronic devices to confiscate so it was bicycles and skateboards. They grew up to be great kids and I’m proud of them but there is one threat still hanging over their heads. One of them will have to take care of me in my old age which terrifies them so they’re going out of their way to keep me healthy.
