I love your demonstration video’s, I learn so much more about the Deus 2 and its settings, thank you.

Another example of why the D2 is so special. I believe it’s one of the finest detectors on the market especially when it comes to cutting through and separating co-mingled targets in highly mineralized ground/clay etc. Not every detector has the filters in place like the D2, it definitely gives me more of a “fighting chance” in getting those deeper, masked targets. Until you hunt in it, it’s just hard to process/understand. Simply, one of the reasons I’ve pulled incredible finds up out of BEAT UP sites where modern trash keeps piling up over, where I’ve been hunting for some time now. Its really a struggle being able to fight through an ongoing accumulation. I’ve become a much more skilled detectorist because of this.

Nice demonstration in actual hot ground.

Excellent demonstration thanks for sharing. Funny how many of my pasture and plowed fields I have very mild soil and I use the 11 x 13 coil with a reactivity of 1.5. I bump it up when I come across iron pollution usually to no higher than 3, what I would like to see from XP is an option to bring the mineralization meter out more, make it bigger. I’d like to see that coupled with the XY screen. Many debate, and I’m not going to get into a debate over this but the I find the XY screen helpful on many iron sites regarding identifying large iron at colonial iron polluted sites. It’s not a “be all end all” identifier on what to dig. I use it more as what not to dig. Again, I try to utilize as many tools in the machine for different situations. Larger mineralization meter screen would be sweet. I also have sites that I hunt with mineralized ground so being aware of that and the changing ground balance number is always a plus. 👍

Yes you should hit spots over and over and over!! I am always finding targets in very hammered spots, Just need to spend some time experimenting and see what will work the best. Sometimes I get the detector tuned so it sees more than I could ever imagine what is left in the ground. Sometimes I am amazed at what has been missed with so many detectors. Some days the detector just is not tunable to the conditions.

would love to see you do the same tests but lowering gain. even as low as 75.
swapped over from the nox to deus2 when it came out, never looked back!

Thank you for testing this! But what happens to the same target with max khz 24 that should help iron discrimination aomewhat and discrim 6.8 instead of 0 should remove the mineral and iron tones overpowering the masking of the coin? And ofc audio gain 6. I was hoping for the setting to find some very deep missed items in the nonepoluted parts around giving tree. Where it is poluted reactiivty 3 but rest of the settings could be interesting to test
