I am glad somebody is! But we know with you. You always come out good! I went New Year’s Day and was hoping to find a ring and some jewelry. I came home with three kids bracelets that are the beads and a rubber ring.

That makes sense regarding the little guy. I don't normally use 4khz but it did good.... I prefer multi

I just got the Equinox update for the 600 and it's even harder for me to understand but also I have only used it for about an hour and then I'm still so use to the 99 scale of numbers and the X-Terra Pro and it is nice to see the 800 again....
I have the same issue regarding the numbers when I don't use one of the detectors for a while... I wish they all worked the same as far as numbers. Practice and even try doing a finds test. I take some items including gold out and test it. It can be helpful but one thing I learned was gold is tricky... depending on many factors gold can ring in at so many different numbers and sounds. What a great hunt to bad Christine could not be there with you, Christine looked tired. Buddy is like my dog as soon as the phone goes to him, he shies away.

Y'all hitting the beaches after all these waves, I saw on the news a world war 2 missile got washed up here in socal from the waves, let's get out there lol maybe some pirates treasure washed up also lol
My friend went down to the beach already and told me he had to take a number because there was a line of detectorists...lol. Seriously though, we are trying to get down but working around Christine's schedule is complex... If we don't on her days off.. I will solo it next week.

As a non-hunter it never occured to me that the shape and angle of the object in the ground would change the readings you may get on the detector. Great ring find!
Yes... many factors. Also the ground material and condition play a roll. A good reason why I try and dig every target. I think someone might need to take up the hobby...lol.

Equinox is a great machine,I prefer the 40 VDI over 99 on the 900.
I love my NOX but have not tried the 900 yet. I need to meet up with "Gary's Metal Detecting" again because he has one....Thanks

How much do those Equinox detectors cost?
They are currently around $900 depending on the accessory package
If you find a 65 quarter struck on silver its worth $$$
