As a 500 I can confirm that hikaru has forcibly mated me for educational purposes
Good one :)) I was about to say the same thing
why is this so funny hahhhah xD
the chess community is so wholesome
I defeated Hikaru 8 times… in my dreams 😅
💀
I'm 500. Finally I understand why I'm losing all the time. I'm playing Hikaru.
And probably all the other GM smurfs. The 500-1200 you get the best chances to play GMs.
Lmfaoooo
😂

GMHikaru
Don’t trust his videos, he is really playing 6,000 games at once
"forcingly mating" is a horrible way to phrase it 😂😂
I know right, that's chessual assault
That’s literally the whole point
but that's what he was doing. :D
Props to the 1977 elo guy drawing against Hikaru 👍
This 1977 guy probably cheated
@@diarreiacronica257true, so much time has passed before his move, probably used stock fish and seen his best option was to draw it
i think hikaru took it very lightly
@@user-ec6yq1qx9h Imagine a guy rated 2000 using stockfish to try to win a game against a guy he "thinks" is rated 500
@@diarreiacronica257 That game looked pretty legit to me.
I’ll mate with hikaru for educational purposes for 500
😂 wtf
i would, too.
lmaoooo
💀
Agreed!
Imagine being 500 and having a winning position against Hikaru
When
When
When
I would consider that 2nd game draw a w for the 500 for sure
@@furrypossum1498 that was a 1900
I really appreciate these educational videos from top level players as someone who's looking to advance in chess. Barely any GMs make these kinds of videos. Thanks Hikaru and Daniel Naroditsky.
You should look at Daniel Naroditsky, the goat of chess teaching ♟️
500: trades knight
Hikaru: so you have chosen... death
💀
Wow. 500 that's a lotta mating
24:26 was not expecting that lmfao
Same haha
« and white is kind of running out of space, and running out of oxygen; just like on the submarine » 💀
when was it?

From bottom of my heart I thank you Hikaru for bringing this content here, this is so helpful and we appreciate you.
I love to hear GM's talk about chess the way they talk about is damn near surgical
I have just recently gotten into chess and the more and more I watch I can’t help but to appreciate the craft. I mean the commentary behind how he’s gonna strategize the other players move is so useful, I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve been in his opponents shoes and now watching him combat that gives me so much knowledge:)
couldnt have said it any better
Thank you for that. I have been struggling with the Bishop g5 and it is very simple to solve. Fantastic tips on development and strategies on attacking.
really good lessons thanks Hikaru. I like how you spoke it was clear your line of thinking...and it was really cool you didn't take the best moves in order to be able to show us the themes of the position. Very helpful!!
that 1900 who drew hikaru in the beginning is going places!
He was cheating
@Guy.WhoAsked Doubt it, his tactics weren't that difficult. Hikaru wasn't even paying attention.
@@rnomromro6715 it was a brand new acc created for the arena, he'd play all his other games around 70-80% accuracy but played at 96% across 32 moves against Hikaru
His time usage was also super suspicious up until the draw. It's either some random IM or GM on a smurf or a cheater
Thankyou so much hikaru for these type of videos as a 800 player this really enlightens men, good entertainment and educated me thankyou for being great as always :)
These are truly educational. I'm learning so much as a 1500 ish.
How you have started?
Hikaru just like me forcibly mating ppl
@@sbuzh good thing I’m not religious
Don't listen to anyone! You get yours however you can😅

At that final freeze frame with the 80s style pop music playing, I was half expecting to see a text box explaining to me what Hikaru did after the events of this video.
Thank you for this content. I just started playing chess and you’re definitely fueling my obsession!
"Well ! if he's gonna hang the pawn, I'll just take." lol
Yesterday i was struggling against 600 person.
After watching two educational videos of prof H, I just mated a 800elo within 15moves without any difficulty .
These vids are amazing.
Drawing against hikaru is definitely an accomplishment.
sensei taking time out for his beginners -- always pleasant and fundamental -- thank you gm
I tought the "mating" was something else
💀💀💀
love these educational videos
So fun watching you in your element. Doing it for the love of the game. Cheers Hikaru
Love you Hikaru you are wonderful :) thanks for learning with your games
Hikaru is a beast! Beating the top chess players in the world is still his M.O, so that player pulling a draw, what a fortunate person.
I like how some of the opponents are rated around 2000 and he still just takes care of them so easily.
Except that hacky draw.
@@matthewkaplan6938that dude is probably high on life after finding that and drawing hikaru
@@alexstyborski1009could of been a smurf. Who knows🤷♂️
@@nope8247 he was like 1900 I think, could totally spot that at that level
That player played 96 percent accuracy ONLY against Hikaru on THAT particular game, all his other accuracy across the board are way lower. Not to mention that account was only weeks old and hasn't been played on again for over a month. Seems like a surf to me... and what's the point, Hikaru was playing unrated to help teach others. Not like you can ever even brag to your peers if no one knows its you. No one like that will bring up their account name knowing others will accuse it of being suspicious.
Super instructive! Thank you!
All this time I got *forcibly* mated I should've known it was Hikaru all along
The man who encouraged me to play chess hope I get more teaching.. 🎉
Thank you for this Hikaru you're my hero brother!!!
I love it when beginners play modern , cause if u play normally you will always win against them
I love how he explains bishop f2 if queen is on g5 but doesn’t play it when queen goes to g5
wow Hikaru , thanks for being so instructive for the advancing beginner!
Forcible mating is called something else on the streets 😅
Finally beat Wally bot(1800), as a 1400, thanks for the great content!
As someone who thought of a move, then hikaru playing it I see this as an absolute win
1.e4?
I think it's incredibly profound and a testimony to Hikarus chess knowledge that he can teach younger and more inexperienced chess players "themes" and "ideas" rather than being like 99% of every chess teacher I have had who just drones on about theory and positions.
9:31 "bruce pick me up" 😂😂😂😂😂
Right 🤣🤣
40:58 when your brain is still calculating which line of thought to go for

Watching Hikaru makes chess look so easy, but when you play it thats different story!
Hikaru on his way to explain why 1000 elo players really suck:
38:50 waiting to see this clip in the best of hikaru... 😂
WOW!!! I learned more from this video Hikaru than you can imagine ❤
im sure there are many more educational videos from hikaru, however this is the first one i have seen, i usually watch gotham chess to learn as i am new to chess. i just wanted to say really enjoyed this video, great content. please make many more. thank you.
Yooo, this hikaru dude is awesome, he should start coaching and playing in tournaments!
Yeah, he's really good!
He might be a GrandMaster one day!
@@knownas2017 dont be ridiculous
since watching your chess insight videos it feels like i am playing a new game
Keep these vids coming.
Dude as someone that loves chess but sucks I think these videos are awesome. The hardest part of chess for me is knowing when to exchange and when it makes sense.
The darkest thumbnail ever 😂
Forcibly mating 500s?
“That’s assault, brotha!”
I want a Hikaru magnetic Chess set - with Hikaru playing on the box!
Like the 80s Kasparov and Karpov electronic sets.
🙋🏻♂️
Only if it crushes me using the bong cloud and the botez gambit.
i wanna take up chess again as a hobby from watching GM Hikaru's streams because the information i ingest is amazing. I've played with my brothers and father from a while back and i was bad. But im afraid to play because i feel like i'd still be bad at it despite watchin the streams, and i dont wanna disappoint GM Hikaru because He's such a great educator. 😂
You will be bad. Just get over it and play. When I got interested in chess I threw myself into OTB (slow) tournaments right away. Lost something like 37 games out of 50 in the first couple months.
'Forcibly mating' is an amusing turn of phrase.
Me in Chess tournaments: Cursing and rage quitting after huge loss streaks, especially when I'm matched against way better opponents or get defeated by low Elo players.
Hikaru in Chess tournaments: Winning every game and making it look like the 2000s were getting beaten by an insane 500.
Hey Hikaru. I am stuck at 1000 rating and i thought this was very instructional. Thank you!
We need more videos like theezzzz
"And drawing a 1900"
So can we all agree that the thumbnail with the title were both so terrifying...
Traumatizing and Entertaining
I'm liking you sharing your investment experience more than 500 chess!!
Yo the thumbnail and the title combination is so hilarious, its almost too crazy
This video will be used in court evidence for GBH, brutal.
Bro the title 💀
This content is gold. Thanks Hikaru
He forcibly mated me, I couldn’t scream...
This dude actually said he’s the first big streamer to switch over to kick.
Damn
amazing, thank you
These are amazing!!

Forcibly Mating with 500s For Educational Purposes is even better
Hikaru calling BruceDropEmOff, BrucePickMeUp is pure gold
I’m learning, best tutorial
Imagine the elation on that 2k elo player that managed to force a draw!
I just wannna know how many unfortunate 500s babies had a mating ritual with hikaru
Good educational video. Thank you
Anyone know what the great idea was at the end and/or what he bought on eBay?
please make more unrated and low elo content mister hikaru , appreciate your efforts ❤
hikaru i saw ur kick channel promoted on the f1 race the other week, along with xqc and another streamer who i forgot. pretty cool
Naw man this title is crossing the line 😅
Imagine your editor (who you pay) posting a video with your face in the thumbnail and making a rape joke in the title on your behalf
@@havenless3551 He keeps doing it. I guess kids like it though. Smh
In game one Hikaru plays a forced mate against a 500. It may be a double entendre, but it is a chess term. Get a grip. -- the editor
@@havenless3551Rape joke? What. That's a chess term
Very useful content!
Hikaru wisdom : it is not great but could be worse
draco constellation info was cool
"Forcibly Mating" had me worried at first.
when it's being done for beginners, hiakru, you gotta slow down amn, i can't keep up with the fast pace of explanation lololol
New challenge: You have to mate them in 20 moves or resign
Hikaru drew a 500 rated player?? I’ve got hope in chess babyyyyyy
Hikaru looks so cute when he’s vibing to the music lol
What an honor for Hikaru to “forcibly mate” you😂
"...just like on the submarine"
I haven't evaluated it with the engine but I feel your move @31.04 opened up an attack for white that could at the least have gained them a pawn
So you said that you don't recommend the modern defense for players and you seemed pretty adamant about that. But as a player at a more intermediate level (I would like to think) with a modern course and an alright grasp on the opening ideas, should I switch over to mainly playing a different opening or stick to the modern?
Don’t worry about elo, practice tactics and play the modern if its fun for you
What course do you have?
@@claudiog7692 Gotham Chess' g6 course
He was talking about beginners, and mainly the failure to realize that pawn breaks are key in that opening to get play and avoid being crushed. Also the guy didn't seem to realize he needs to play Nh6 to get Knight in the game and to go to f5. That comes into play in the Caro as well. You need to know the resources and typical moves for set ups in the openings you play, and the modern has advanced concepts that aren't immediately obvious.
