One of the things that I used to do when I played (been years since I've logged in), esp. when I was able to coordinate with a squad, was Suppressing fire, if you can keep the enemy from peaking over their cover by threatening them with bullets, you can limit their situational awareness and give your teammates the opportunity to flank or rush down by keeping the enemy in position. Sometimes its even enough to help keep an ally alive by forcing the enemy back into cover. It wasn't always the smartest move for me, because it can make me a priority target (because they can see me on their mini-map), but it did give me some way to assist the push. If you can't aim for crap, then this is one thing you can do when you feel like your just combat ineffective. I dont' remember if there's ribbons for it, but with the large mags for the LMG, it is something you can do so that the light assaults can maybe get into a better position. Idk how effective this still is in current game, but it was something I used to do that used to work at times.
Surpressing fire works great, the noise and tracers can also distract enemies to let your allies flank them. Usually enemies will be focussed on you, waiting for you to stop shooting so they can peek you, so you can also bait by shooting for a few seconds, then stopping, then shooting again expecting them to peek out.
Imma be honest. I think Heavy assault is completely irrelevant as an anti vehicle class unless you can coordinate 4 or 5 friends to fire at the same time, cause the vehicles will simply retreat when damaged, and are alot faster than you. Meanwhile, Light assault just needs to jump jet onto you, place its C4, and you're history. It's still great against infantry though, but borderline useless for anti vehicle, unless you count landmines. And it just so happens that Engineers do landmines better than Heavy, so yeah..
Not entirely irrelevant... Good enough to deter tanks and cause them to back up. That being said, the new guns deter tanks better than the heavies rockets now
3 years late but: I recently unlocked Anti Vehicle grenades and found them very helpfull in actually killing vehicles. 2 such grenades + a decimator kills a full health lightning + room to spare. Unlike the C4 however I’ve found the enemy often retreating just a little too late to avoid the second grenade. I still die when fighting lightings, but they often die in cover when the second AV nade explodes. You can also carry a lot of these with grenade bandolier. Which has been helpfull in dealing with stationary vehicles (mostly sundee’s).

Dont bother with the dragoon, the vandal is just a better DMR. bishop and obelisk are only viable because of their unique mechanics such as overpenetrating ammo for groups when you get a flank or the unlimited ammo and no bullet drop. Hunter cloak all day, recon device doesn't make much difference, unless you're running bolt action, athlete and survivalist is a stupid good combo with adrenaline shield cause fast movement is very powerful for escaping after picking a target or to flank around an enemy before they have a chance to move. resto kits are dumb cause thats more time you spend uncloaked, leave proxy mines to engineer cause you will need the med kits, power knife is okay if you're into that but i like to run the everquest directive knife incase i kill a tank pilot i can knife his tank to death. Headshots are absolutely necessary, staying in one place is death, try to engage targets on your terms because infil is not a good reactionary playstyle platform. Know your maps and typical lines of engagements so you can predict enemy movements making it easier to get flanks. remember your cloak doesn't make you invisible just more difficult to track, people can still collide with you and see your outline through the cloak. Maxed recon is ideal, I like to use the little recon towers and place them near the point. This is just a suggestion, but you guys thing the Resist Shield should have a lower debuff in the speed department, since you basically get a resistance buff instead of negate damage
honest question, i thought NC was supposed to have high recoil? After looking at the replays you displayed here, your NC guns have more accuracy than my lancer lol. Am I missing something here?
Inb4 heavy easy mode, remove heavys, everyone is heavy, wow heavy spam, nerf heavys, remove shield comments Ps: if you don't have a primary AND secondary jackhammer loadout are you really NC?
I'm rank 45 and I don't have any of these implants besides Assimilate and Survivalist. I am at the point where I should be burning certs to roll the dice on more implants? I've probably bought 3 or 4 deluxe packs in the past.
How about after the arsenal update remaking your class guides? bunch of us returning or new players dont have have much recent to go off, and you do such a great job
First gripe is against tip number 6, and thanks to the decimator meta i have switch to always running flak armor on my max units so it doesnt really both me at all, as for "slapping esfs" if they are a good pilot your not gonnna hit them at all or even come close, (side note yes the decimator does some damage to flax max but i have proven time and time again that pulling out your launcher on me gifts me a kill on you as your shot aint gonnna kill me.
Also add that crouching into oncoming fire especially for those that ive learned from and trained is not a good idea (insert free headshots here for all that aim center mass)
@@groothorty4566 The only people that are actual threats are ones that can aim and hit the head, so crouching might give you a 1-2 bullet advantage in a firefight which often means the difference between using a medkit or seeing a respawn screen.
While Flare machinegun on VS is often talked down, I quite liked it's slower fire rate and it's become my favourite of the 4 I used. I had one moment where in a blinding rage I mowed down half a squad when I dropped down from above - the last enemy died to the very last bullet.
If you don’t have the Battle Goose, either the Orion or the SVA are the best guns, depending on range and preferences. Flare isn’t bad, and really does excel at longer range engagements, but it’s just outdone in close range fights by the Orion or SVA.
tried HAs. if the reticle worked right, I'd see where my bullets would go..nah. Sticking to support classes. Have some ammo, that system at least works in PS 2.
Cami have you thought about doing an in depth roundup of all the launches? Also, seems like people used to say there's another benefit to Resist Shield, something I think you may not have mentioned...but I can't remember lol. Added headshot resistance I think? I vaguely remember some used to say that was the go-to HA shield.
resist shield is a flat damage reduction, it reduces all damage types including headshots, but headshots will do more damage than bodyshots still as the headshot multiplier is still there. You can actually see in the video him taking a bolt action to the face and surviving at roughly 25:35 in the video, i think it was one of the weaker sniper rifles which does 650 damage which with the headshot multiplier of 2.1 for the m77b gives you 887 damage dealt within 10 meters
*RECOMMENDATION* For defending points on Vanu, do not use Polaris, it's probably the worst weapon on the faction. Flare or Pulsar LSW with extended mags are the better pick. I prefer the former.
That moment when your heavy infantry team mate gets killed my a literal orbital strike because the enemy team got bored *Insert jpeg of screaming hamster holding a smg*
I don't understand, every video I watch you have like absolutely 0 recoil on your guns! I'm on pc and I can't figure it out. That and it seems like your characters are all so agile! You can flick your characters back and forth, side to side. I try so hard to mimick your moves but it's like my characters do not have any of those abilities. I am level 18 btw, does that matter??
Don't worry about it being to Long. As you said time to stop now I thought "huh rather short video" the information is so dencely shown that length doesnt Mather.
I uh I wanna know where the durability of this class is. Rank 6 on PS4, and I have maybe 25 kills total? Usually I run into the combat zone, face the enemy, and get utterly annihilated by some guy in about two seconds
To be honest, welcome to Planetside, the best way for that to stop happening is practice practice practice, stick with it and you’ll start to see a noticeable improvement
William Healey I actually have noticed a significant improvement from when I first started. Excepting the massive stalemates I sometimes find myself in, like last night at TI Alloys Inc between the TR and VS while NC tried to get in on it(it was like thirty, thirty, twenty and it was fun until we couldnt get into the point room and a Max event started), I can go for at least three or four kills before someone gets me. My best streak was twenty in one life, but that was as an Infiltrator camped away from the fight and aiming at a door as we bullied the VS off the point.
Even tho I know most of the stuff, nonetheless I enjoyed the video, i'll share my personal loadout -name: Pusher -Ability: Adrenaline shield (maxed out) -weapon: MG Promise (or its counterparts) / NSX Naginata (if you're low on certs) weapons should be equipped with flash suppresor and foregrip and NSNV scope -secondary: Hunter QCX bow with smoke darts (you see where i am going) -grenade: Stun -Medkits -ovearhead shield -implant: Sidewinder (max level) Assimilate ( level 4 minimum) Alley, doorway, room, bridge(my fav), staircase .... just pop a smoke and rain bullets on them trust me you'll easily get 10+ kills and help your mates in tight spot as the name indicate "Pusher", be aware tho that your shield if it breaks it will not start by itself and it will constantly recharge as you are chaining kills, and if some smarty try to use thermal optics to detect you behind the smoke, you have sidewinder that leave you clod blooded
Really fun loadout is symbiote+assimilate, asc, and adrenaline shield. Opens up a super aggressive play style with you getting back 200 shield+54% adrenaline shield back for headshot kills, plus the asc means any downtime in fights is likely to recharge your shield. Can easily clear a room with some good corner cutting and then lock it down as enemies respawn and trickle into you.
You press "F" button for both your Overshield ability, and to pay respects to any medic/engi/light assault/infiltrator/sometimes max in your way (because they are most likely dead).
I honestly wish the Heavy wasn't a close quarters to mid range stomper. It's literally the Vanguard "I win" button except for infantry. I actually don't have as much of a problem fighting heavy assaults but my friends certainly do, and I can see why they complain so much. I've always told them "use light assault or infil and aim for the head" and for whatever reason they're the ones that run into those guys that play nothing but LA1 Anchor heavies. There are quite a few people on the Emerald server that are within top 100, and they have more kills on either the LA1 Anchor, MSW-R or Orion than every other weapon they ever used combined (one of the dudes on my friend's list has over 50,000 kills on the LA-1 Anchor alone). There's almost no use taking many of any other class if you're locking down a point or charging a point, like you might have 3 medics, an engie and a MAX, and then 12 heavy assaults. Heavy assaults got the LMGs which handle pretty much as fast as assault rifles, deal very similar damage, but have much larger magazine sizes. Plus, with the Adrenaline shield and Assimilation combo, literally as long as your last bullet on a kill is a headshot you can kill ridiculous amounts of people even when theres 2-3 of them at once shooting at you. My suggestion for the heavy assault? Make it like an actual irl heavy gunner. A SAW operator is not going to be running and gunning in close quarters just spraying everywhere, the SAW is a mid to long range suppression weapon that needs to be guarded by others in close range. I'd like for it to be a more defensive class, which means completely shitting on the mobility, handling and hipfire of LMGs, however, lowering the recoil and reducing cone of fire bloom and first shot cone of fire. I'd still let the heavy have an overshield with about the same strength, however make that overshield have a considerable delay to turn on, just like there's a shield regen delay on every other class, which forces you to take a good position before starting to spray. It's no longer a class that takes no brain to play (let's be honest here, heavy is by far the easiest class to get kills with) and makes you seriously consider your surroundings before you engage overshield and start firing.
Yeah man this is such a good suggestion. HA is insanely efficient in cqc fights. Worst of all is like you said they make MAXes look like chumps especially NC ones

Bro what is your square scope at 21:13 pls i need to know i can't find it in game :(
Maybe i can't get it bcs i'm TR.. so idk maybe theres' an equivalent bcs i love your optic
You forgot to mention that the Resist shield is the only one that protects you from a sniper headshot
Hello. I noticed that the model of your gun is reduced, and your fov is big. How did you do that?
Cami: Don’t waste your medkits
Also Cami: 23:36
Dash he probably expected to take more damage than he actually did. Anyway, its better to use your medsticks while youre alive than to die with 3 left
nitus And when he whips out his C4 at 26:55 and spams the detonate trying to heal himself
Dash ive done that alot more than id like to admit too lol
nitus my personal favorite is pressing F as an infiltrator to activate my overshield in a fight
Heavys in a nutshell: You are up against the wall and I am the fucking wall!
This is just a suggestion, but you guys thing the Resist Shield should have a lower debuff in the speed department, since you basically get a resistance buff instead of negate damage
Did you really forgot about the double Jackhammer? O.o
honest question, i thought NC was supposed to have high recoil? After looking at the replays you displayed here, your NC guns have more accuracy than my lancer lol. Am I missing something here?
Once you get used to the NC recoil you’re virtually unstoppable. Moving the mouse down while bursting becomes second nature.
The amount of TKs in this video is too damn high x)
nemosgaze theyre just enemies wearing the same color as me
Welcome to the New Conglomerate; they're so rebellious that they even fight themselves.
I have question how can the heavy Assault rub so fast in the game? Like In 18:40
18:30 how is he using a thumper and lmg?
ASP
I haven't played in a while, is the NC Saw-s no longer a viable primary weapon?
Its decent, the gun u wanna stay away from when using nc lmgs is the em1. Terrible weapon in my opinion
Inb4 heavy easy mode, remove heavys, everyone is heavy, wow heavy spam, nerf heavys, remove shield comments
Ps: if you don't have a primary AND secondary jackhammer loadout are you really NC?
Can you equip 2 jackhammers if you have the Anniversary edition?
@@leroyj9044 yes
*Laughs in Jackhammer loadout*
On TR i occasionally use double pump shotties with nightmare and athlete. makes people very mad
@@leroyj9044 now that's what I like to hear

Was a awesome 3 way. Much better then the crown as a 3 way
Agreed - setting up on the 2nd floor of the spawn as a sniper nest, merrily Bishoping the uphill strugglers. Good times. 👌😎
how can i get more implants? last time i played was from alert missions.. but now?or only for zerts?
"with your LMG of +50 rounds" *cries in *beatleguese*
I would love to see updates too these guides
If your an infiltrator and your handy with the knife or sniper heavies make for nice plump targets
I'm rank 45 and I don't have any of these implants besides Assimilate and Survivalist. I am at the point where I should be burning certs to roll the dice on more implants? I've probably bought 3 or 4 deluxe packs in the past.
What're you guys favorite class to play? Or the class you are having most fun with? I'm asking to everyone reading this.
heavy assault is the most no brain class I've ever seen in any game ever
You've not played teamfortress 2 then
@@balkan25 Scorch shot goes *PESHEEEEEEW*

In that vanu footage what was letting u shoot infenitly with heat instead of ammo
The directive LMG for the Vanu, the Betelgeuse. It's an orion that uses heat instead of ammo.
Ahh yes, the only acceptable playstyle, according to the Planetside subreddit.
What are some of your mouse settings for in game?
Did they remove the extra ability recharge on assimilate for headshot kills?
While Flare machinegun on VS is often talked down, I quite liked it's slower fire rate and it's become my favourite of the 4 I used. I had one moment where in a blinding rage I mowed down half a squad when I dropped down from above - the last enemy died to the very last bullet.
If you don’t have the Battle Goose, either the Orion or the SVA are the best guns, depending on range and preferences. Flare isn’t bad, and really does excel at longer range engagements, but it’s just outdone in close range fights by the Orion or SVA.
@@XpliCTPaiN Pulsar LSW is a strictly better SVA. SVA is garbage now and has been for at least 2 years.
am I not able to save this one to playlist for later? why is that?
kudos, on the timestamp addition ;)
Does Symbiote implant stack with Nanite Mesh Generator?
How do u feel about using the Swarm? It deals more damage if you hit all 3. But it seems only useful on planes and distant vehicles.
tried HAs. if the reticle worked right, I'd see where my bullets would go..nah. Sticking to support classes. Have some ammo, that system at least works in PS 2.
*Nitus got mentioned
*VitaminPutin and Laist want to know your location.
Yaay, bc 70% of players being HAs wasnt enough now we will have 90%
How do you have the jackhammer as your second weapon?
ASP points let you use heavy weapons in the secondary slot.
i love resist shield+flak armour
That moment when your heavy infantry team mate gets killed my a literal orbital strike because the enemy team got bored
*Insert jpeg of screaming hamster holding a smg*
Question what faction are you
At the beginning of the video, that MAX decided to ruin your day......by blocking!!!
Godsaw, anchor or EM1 what the best?
T9
What is with the FOV? it feels wider than normal?
He has a video up talking about his FOV and how to change it in game. IIRC, he runs at 110 FOV
Question. Will this game ever be on Xbox one?
Video games heavy class is so silly. A soldier with heavy machine gun, heavy armour and a rocket launcher. How the hell can he walk.
Thank you!

Launchers... infantry AA capability is still a joke. And tower/base AA. And skyguard too.
I uh
I wanna know where the durability of this class is.
Still haven't bought Concussions after 1100 hours of the game. Why?
The AV grenades look like Stielhandgranates. Concs not even a choice, my guy.
Of all the launchers, why is c4 the best?
Even tho I know most of the stuff, nonetheless I enjoyed the video,
i'll share my personal loadout
-name: Pusher
-Ability: Adrenaline shield (maxed out)
-weapon: MG Promise (or its counterparts) / NSX Naginata (if you're low on certs) weapons should be equipped with flash suppresor and foregrip and NSNV scope
-secondary: Hunter QCX bow with smoke darts (you see where i am going)
-grenade: Stun
-Medkits
-ovearhead shield
-implant: Sidewinder (max level) Assimilate ( level 4 minimum)
Alley, doorway, room, bridge(my fav), staircase .... just pop a smoke and rain bullets on them trust me you'll easily get 10+ kills and help your mates in tight spot as the name indicate "Pusher", be aware tho that your shield if it breaks it will not start by itself and it will constantly recharge as you are chaining kills, and if some smarty try to use thermal optics to detect you behind the smoke, you have sidewinder that leave you clod blooded

hi I love your videos and PlanetSide 2 I play PlanetSide 2 on the PS4
RIP TI Alloys land bridge! 2020
What kind of heavy assault uses a launcher other than the KRAKEN? 😂😂
It's no longer a class that takes no brain to play (let's be honest here, heavy is by far the easiest class to get kills with) and makes you seriously consider your surroundings before you engage overshield and start firing.
no
Do whatever, just change HA pls
Yeah man this is such a good suggestion. HA is insanely efficient in cqc fights. Worst of all is like you said they make MAXes look like chumps especially NC ones
Flak effect on dumbfired anti air launcher? What?
