Alek i thought maybe it was an option to dm you, but i just had a few questions for you. I have nothing going on right now but i just had a few personal questions about your business’ and your youtube channel.. anyway to get a hold of you? Been enjoying the videos, you are clear about every angle and the speed is on point. I understand i can ask questions over comments but really would like a quick conversation elsewhere maybe? Or even on youtube. Lmk
It took me 5 months but my shop just passed it's first $1000 in revenue!! The past three months, I've consistently pulled in over $230/mo and I've been SLACKING because I worked myself so hard to get it started!! So now it's turning into $200+ per month semi-passive! It feels 100% passive though, because the only real "work" I do now is to send a quick msg to buyers after each sale and replying to reviews. Takes maybe 15 seconds each time. YES it takes work upfront. I can't even tell you how many hours I spent designing my shop, figuring out the overall look, creating and editing graphics for my listings (currently I have 221 listings total), etc. but knowing that I have a steady flow of at least $200 extra per month for the foreseeable future is so freakin' worth it!! THANK YOU!! Your videos were the ones that got me here!!
What UA-camrs Don't Tell You About AI Art: Approval required: To sell on most major Print on Demand (POD) platforms, you need to be accepted as a seller or artist beforehand, which can take a significant amount of time depending on demand. High competition: There is an immense amount of competition, and AI-generated art is not as profitable as it may seem, since the market is saturated and professional designers are earning their living in the same space. Clickbait videos: UA-camrs who create videos with thumbnails displaying specific numbers like '$8848.39' are selling a dream and making money off your clicks. Passive income potential: Although AI art creation can be a source of passive income, you will need to produce a large volume of work and even engage in promotion to have any hope of selling anything, or else your pieces will be lost among the countless others.
You are right, every gold buissness is shit, if u don't pump to it a lot of your time and marketing. Only passive income is trading, obligations, apartaments etc.
Another very important factor that those promoting AI content often ignore, is that AI generated content can't be copyrighted. Someone could grab all the images and sell them themselves, because there's no legal ownership. This also means it isn't a solid business model. You can invest a lot of time and money into promoting this work and not get much from it
Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them....
I'll suggest you create a diversification strategy because building a good financial-portfolio has been more complex since covid. Recently my colleague advised me to hire an advisor, surprisingly I have accrued over $120K under the guidance of my coach during this crash. he figured out Defensive strategies to protect my portfolio and make profit from this roller coaster market.
@Santa sani David jeffrey Herman is my portfolio-coach, I found him on CNBC where he was interviewed, I looked up his name on the internet. Fortunately I came across his site and reached out to him, you can verify him yourself.
@@alekSheffy @alekSheffy should I crop the image by the Art/Photo size aspect ratio chart and not the Final frame size chart? Or should I do both? Thanks!
Out of all the online side hustle ideas this really seems like one of the most valid ones. I am going to give this a shot! Really appreciate how thoroughly you've gone through this process man. Cheers! Here's to some passive income!
stupid part is all AI generated art are limited in resolution, and if you want it to be printable for various sizes for wall art, the resolution needs to be VERY HIGH
@@alexarmani9209 There are a lot of programs that can do a great job increasing the size of the art. But sadly the art's not the hard part ... the hard part is the actually selling.

While its nice that you explained everything in detail, but so does every other youtuber who makes these types of videos. What I would want to see that nobody ever shows is actually making money from that same shop you created. Show your first sales, how long it took, what type of SEO you had to do, did you pay for ads on etsy etc. Its easy to follow this, create a shop and publish the listings, but actually getting your product seen and even getting the first sale is a far far different thing as the market is very very competitive and theres hundreds of these shops that do the exact same thing. Show me how you take this exact shop to making 834 USD a day, otherwise its just a clickbait
Thank you for taking the time to do a short step by step explanation. I’ve watched a lot of other videos that click bait on “how to” and don’t really go into detail of the steps. Appreciate your videos.
Sweet lord. Just chiming in here... Great vid... Use artboards and a template. Create a blank project with an art board in each aspect ratio you need. Save as template. Then open template and add your pic to each artboards. Upscale and resize. Export all artboards as files. Batch exporting will save so much more time. And we know time is money.
Good news: I bet there is even a way to link the artboards so you only have to fill in the image and it will fill in all the artboards. Bad news: I have no idea how
@@flowstateofmind hahaha. You could create an action that did it for you. But that's too extensive to list here. But it's basically place the item, hit record... Do all the steps once. Stop record. Rename action. Call it a day.
It's a good side hustle to tell people about possible side hustles. I can imagine this video was made with a lot of help by AI starting with the instructions on how to do this.
There has to be a space after your prompt and then the aspect ratio --ar 2:3. I can't tell you how long it took me to figure this out :) Also only version 3 of Midjourney allows different aspect ratios, version 4 will only do squares from my understanding. you can "/settings " to change to version 3
I don’t usually comment on videos especially ones about making money because they tend to be all clickbait and no substance. However you shook me with the step by step instructions and walkthrough. A great video alek definitely subscribed 👍🏻
This is the first video like this I've seen that's actually convincing. Everything seems doable, but not guaranteed to make you rich right away, and actually requires some work.
Just watched this video... Over the years, I have seen a LOT of side hustle videos, and this was truly a great video and great job. Thank you for going through everything thoroughly and with just the right amount of proof, encouragement, and detail! Great job and can't wait to see your other videos!

Hey Alek, just wanted to say thanks for this video. I've started a store following these exact steps and it's been going well! Would love to keep you updated on my progress
Tried this for the last month. Followed along step by step. Chose custom pet prints as this was a great niche. Got 0 sales in 3 weeks. So tried again, sold the same as is shown in the videos. Got 0 sales + 0 views in 3 weeks. So went against the advice and ran ads - 18 sales in 3 days! Good concept but you fail to mention that the sellers who are killing it are also the sellers who are killing you. The competition is so high in this niche that you don’t even get a look-in. Possibly ‘try’ these ideas for a month before promoting them as a ‘how to’ tutorial.
Solid advice, my plan is to impact the market with big bundles, once i found my prompt for a catagory (I use photoleap not midjourney) I simply continue to generate high quality images. I want about 4-5 bundle packages because my in mind this seems to be the best way to sell complex digital art. Think of it as selling the convenience of an art gallery at their own home. Then while I generate images i track my prompts as I often experiment. Anything I see as a potential seller that doesn't fit a catagory will be listed individually. Once I am up and running my real bread and butter will be combining art with practical uses. Making planners, to do lists, and calendars up front, opening up a custom request for art. So far this has been very enjoyable just looking at cool art, very low risk and low investment without needing to advertise. Stop making videos please, let me get ahead first :P but really thank you, you had some solid advice in here. Good luck mate.
This is just crazy, I'm watching your videos over and over , started my store a few days ago and wasn't sure to start with this, or that, or the other one.. and now I'm starting to organize all and in the next days I'll try and use all the tips you gave us. It's all like "gold", I don't think that anyone who use all the steps and keeps in mind all what you say in your videos can go wrong with his shop. Many thanks!
@@Icedanon Well like Alek said, in the first days no one rushed even to see the shops, but everyday I try to make between 5 and 10 designs and publish them.. so I am sure that in the next month the sales will come as well.
Right? I mean I've been doing this stuff already on Redbubble and Teepublic and Society 6 and made $3000 but mind you that took me since February 2021 so not very impressive still it works to make something and first six months I made nothing because I didn’t know what sold but I guess on Etsy there's a much bigger profit margin?
Hi Alek, I don’t know if it’s going to be my life you are about to change but, I feel this is about to change someone’s life because of your help. Thanks for sharing this in a quick, easy to understand video. Take care brother
Great video. Would you have a different etsy store for each artwork niche, or would you do it all under the same store even if the styles are very different? Is there an advantage to having just one store with many different styles?
Very informative. However, just want to get cleared on the physical aspect of selling them as physical prints. Can you explain it in brief how to sell the physical prints?
There are a number of shops almost identical to North Prints on Etsy, including one I spotted that was a year older. Some have a decent amount of sales, some not, but none of the ones I looked at had that amount of sales, and in such a short time frame. It makes you wonder what the more successful shops do differently to the others to get ahead. NP's owner does seem to be very active on social media though.
SEO, driving external traffic, use of sales and ads strategically. You don't list it and they will come. You list, drive traffic to get momentum. If new shop, you give free coupons to get reviews going. Set it as part of your promotional budget. Build relationships. Use email marketing
great idea yet again. the one thing i'm left wondering about is the last thing you mentioned... physical prints. what's that process look like? is it a print-on-demand/drop-ship type of thing?
10:24 After purchasing the print, the customer can click on the hyperlink which will take them to the Google drive folder with the images. The customer can then download the images and print them
I gave this a try so far i haven't sold a single digital poster xD. What surprisingly has worked is digital printable items with utility i tried running Etsy ads at the minimum of one dollar per day and made an average of two sales a month. I was actually loosing money to the Etsy ads and the fees. First they bill you 0.20 cents per listing and once the item sells there are more fees you have to pay and they are not small if you ask me. If you want to make some money i recommend you spend a little extra work creating digital utility prints instead of art. And even with that you will need to create as many good designs as posible. It jas been moths and im still on the negative because i paid for adds. Now that i turned them of the traffic is supper slow. I know this sounds discouraging but 20,000 a month is not a realistic goal. When i average 100 dollar per month i will be celebrating 🤣🤣
Hey man, great video. I’ve seen a couple of videos of yours now and they all seem valid. One thing I haven’t found is a detailed way of opening and running an Etsy shop. This image generation part is all good but I feel it’s the easy part and it’s not nearly enough to land you 20k/month, you need to understand Etsy business and SEO and actually sell, so it will help you credibility a lot if you did that and have a video doing it.
Great video once again. This channel provides alot of useful information that some of the more popular channels on these topics seem to miss. I'd like to see your take on a listing tutorial sometime (as it can be pretty painstaking).
Nice idea and might work in the future, but mid journey can only export max 2k res images so it’s not going to work if you wanna sell high quality large prints.
I don't see the Esty link mentioned with the 40 free listings (at 3:13) for a new shop. Did it expire or am I missing something? Thanks! Love your videos. They're very helpful and I've learned ALOT!
Many thanks for this video, great tutorial ! But I was wondering : don't we need to upgrade the design's quality before using it for our creations ? I mean even after Midjourney's upgrading tool
I'm pretty sure you do. I am looking for an answer to this issue. I don't want to list an item that's 18x24 for example, and then it end up being poor quality for the customer. If anyone knows the best way to do this, please let me know x
@@rekensha7945 $99 with an expected return (not guaranteed) of 10s of thousands a month is a decent investment. But you have to know how to make the sales. My guess is this business will be profitable for only a short time until people realize they can just get any image they want from Midjourney and other future AIs.
Good question. I think the standard upscale is 1024 square, but I found no reference to the dpi. I use Gigapixel Ai. It's better with faces than with my abstract art, but it's better than not being able to use the image at all.
One additional thought, even though Alek shows potential revenue streams in each of his examples, I would like to see what he believes net net revenue or actual profit is of running one of these stores is after all expenses are taken into account.I know he points out "before Etsy fees and ads" in his commentary. Just would like to see a bottom line number. Best Guess anyway.. Thanks for the great content!
I magine all those service fees to use some of those programs (minus the free ones of course), plus marketing money spent on ads (because otherwise your shop will just be lost in the sea of countless other shops), would all add up pretty quick and cut into your net income.
hi, firstly great video! 😁 im a noob when it comes to aspect ratios 😅 would you be able to list aspect ratios for landscape paintings or recommend a video source? thanks
I see people in comments who like to complain. I have 10+ years of background in branding and my advice to all of you is this: differentiate. At this moment, 90% of markets are saturated. Guess who is winning? Exactly. So, study the competition and be better, be different and money will follow.
Question for you, what decided the specific sizes you picked for digital? And how does it translate to the suppliers from printify? The suppliers I've looked through for posters seem to not support most of these sizes, but the canvas suppliers do. Any input would be appreciated.
yeah... I've been working on this for a while... seems to be hard to get it right. especially using midjourney, the best dimentions you get using V4 is 1664x2432 pixels... from that it's very hard to transform the image into something bigger. Then using photopea it's best will be 1442x2132... not sure when customer will print that out it will fit the quality, I guess we have to print by ourselves in real to be sure... maybe even buy something from another shop to verify how they are sizing them. Another issue, I guess is the link in the PDF, this doesn't really look professional... I don't know what you guys think about it. I've been trying this technique for 3 days, no miracle yet, but I'm keeping trying and will see. anyway the idea is a good one, and nice for sharing.
Wanna think about something really crazy? An AI could quite easily do all these steps for you if it was given the right tools. The prompt would be as simple as "come up with a name for a new Etsy store, create the account, generate 50 pictures of palm trees and beach scenes and let me choose the best ones, crop each image with the following aspect ratios, upload the results to Google drive, create a PDF with a hyperlink to the Google drive, upload the PDFs as products on my store". Then just run that command a few times to generate new Etsy stores and see which one performs the best
Thanks Alek. When I was watching your this clip first time I was assuming that at the end of it You will say something like ... '' join me on my course on how to do make x- amount with my secret method... bla bla bla''' but hey You are just explaining the process and that's it. Great inspiration.
Hello Alek, thanks for the informative video :) You mentioned to target more niches, and I agree, my only question is, that would you create different stores for the different niches OR on store is okay for more styles?
Hey Alex, Amazing content! I had same question because I have lots of ideas but wondering do I put them all under one shop or do more than one depending on style of art?
Man, just wanted to say thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your videos! I'm not making millions but I'm on the way to leaving my job...I can't put a value on that, truly. You have been amazing, thank you again for all your videos and extensive walkthroughs. You're a life changer man, please keep it up!
Thanks for the info this video is GREAT! Question, in the size chart you show, what does Final Frame Size mean? does that mean if you crop an image at 5x7 it will be used for the 8x10? Or am I overthinking it and the 8x10 crop is the 8x10 version?
@Choppy_12 you were right the first time, the "final frame size" is the size of the frame. In the chart he gives you the frame size paired with the corresponding photo size. So, in other words, you only need to crop the art piece to the 6 dimensions he listed on the right under "Art/Photo Size". I hope this helps!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I haven’t made any sales yet. But I’m already creating art and setting up the store. I’m excited for another income stream!!!!
or whats worse, whats to stop one buyer from getting the link getting the downloads , and reselling those on the same site! ... i think if anyone wants to REALLY play it safe physical goods are the best safe way to do this...
@@lifewithnyx9979 Exactly. Who would buy a digital file of artwork that they themselves have to find a way to print out? I think ETSY sellers are shipping out the physical prints.
Instead of using a Google drive link, you can zip the files which should greatly reduce the file size so that it can be uploaded to Etsy or wherever you're selling.
How important is it to create multiple variations of each ratio? For example, ratio 2:3 - the largest size (in inches) I can see people selling is 20x30. You also have 16x24, 12x18 & 8x12. Is it recommended to create all of those or just the larger size which could print on the smaller sizes anyway? Or, because the images are scaled down to the smaller sizes, do they not print as well as when creating them to the specific sizes in Photoshop?
Hey Alek, thanks for putting in the time for a video. Would love to see how it’s going in real-time for your shop, have you setup digital downloads yet? If so, would love to see bts, like how you did with the customized merch. Things don’t always go as planned, would love to see how problems get solved. Best!!
@@alekSheffy you missed the step of upscaling. By stretching the small 1500 PX image to 4x size it will be blurry when they print. You need to upscale to get a 4800+ PX image and then crop it down. It will be a better user experience due to print quality.
I am following step by step - however -I'm stuck at the etsy level. It would be really helpful to do a step by step - guide on what exactly you are putting in your etsy shop - there's sizes and details I don't know what to put.
This is an add for photopea. Tried this guys technique and my images came out looking like blurry trash. No way could I sell it! You're going to have to invest some $$$ into proper image creating services like I did. No such thing as a free lunch.
The gag about you is you accept loss before trying. Everything is possible if you make it your priority. Yes it is hard initially but so does every thing else.
You can't just drag such a low res image to enlarge to the print size. The resolution will look terrible, and will NOT be print quality. A recipe for many customers complaining about quality. Need to use an AI upscaler
I don't know if this video is serious or just don't care about customer's but midjourney pixel density of the generated images are not enough to print a poster. Maximum you can print is 8x10 but more than at the picture will look pixelated and very low quality.
Thanks @Alek - this is great info. Quick question, when exporting your jpeg out of Photopea, do you set the quality at 100%? Photopea defaults to 71%, which I suspect is not enough quality for a digital print file. But 100% makes a huge file? Is the right amount 90%? I look forward to your thoughts/comments. Thanks @Alek!
funny- i am at the point you were 3 months ago and as surprised about exporting to a jpg as opposed to a png (which maintains the original quality). i plan to export to 100% to maintain as much quality as possible and will see how it goes.
Hi Alek, love your videos, I have a quick question about resizing method. I used Photopea to resize and make images the proper DPI. Properties tell me that each image is properly sized and has the right specs where DPI is concerned, but I do this by dragging the image into Photopea, clicking 'Image Size' and adjusting from there [to the required measurements and DPI]. The method is slightly different, but the results seem to be the same. My question is if this method is okay?
Great video Alek. I'm confused about the download work you did though. I've seen other creators explaining they just create a a zipfile with the designs along with an explanation document about how to print them and that's the file that they upload to Etsy and Etsy does all the rest regarding customer downloads. Why do you go into the more complicated route of having a Google Drive download link - is there some advantage to this? Thanks
Wanted to ask this too, I've never seen this method before. I thought the zip file was standard practice. Also a download link on a pdf makes it look kind of suspicious
Great video but you missed one crucial step - all generated pictures from Midjourney have to be UPASCALED to be printable! Does Photopea upscale and create more pixels and better quality of the picture, when you enlarge it (small pic to 20x30)? I do not think so...
@@miriades No, it is, I use it. But anyhow quality art print (if you don't want to be "pixelated" or blurry) need much more pixels that Midjourney generate. That's why you have to use after all some upscaling program. Topaz gigapixel is the best but it's not free.
Thanks for sharing this invaluable knowledge. The detail you provide has motivated me to give this idea a try. You don't leave anyone guessing how to start. Thanks.
Use drop shipping (your own website with their manufacturer, but you have to advertise and do customer support) or print OnDemand websites (their website and manufacturer, you just make the digital art or whatever it is you're selling). I think print OnDemand is a great place to start until you have a strong understanding and foundation to start your own website for more profit per sale (excluding whatever you pay for advertising).
Hi thanks for the video , really inspirating One question: are the output images big enough to de directly upload to etsy for print ? or should you use a upscaled version: because i ve tried and etsy is telling me that images should be at least 2k pixel wide which is not the case in midjourney , even after i ve upscale with the midjourney option it seems. maybe i m doing something wrong ? Also is there a way to automate the export in multiple ratio some way ? :D thanks for the feedback
Tia, thanks! You audio would greatly greatly improved if you invested in a pop filter and a mic stand. of the two, the inexpensive pop filter is the more critical for you .
You make fantastic, informative videos. Thank you so much. What I was wondering is.... should you have a seperate Etsy store just for your digital prints? Another for Mugs and Stickers?
Hey you're only supposed to crop the image by the Art/Photo size aspect ratio. The Final Frame Size is just there to show you what sized frame goes with a particular photo size. For example, according to his chart an 8" x 10" frame pairs well with a 5" x 7" photo. I hope this helps!
What settings are you using for listing details (handmade) and production partners? Nobody making these AI Etsy videos discloses this and it's a major factor in not getting a shop suspended.
I believe you would be interested in the Art/Photo size column as that is what you are generating for the customer - who will then need to go find a corresponding frame from the other column... but maybe im misunderstanding myself.
I don't really understand the ratios. I created some 2:3 pictures but if I crop them in, let's say, 8 x 10 or 16 x 20, parts of the image will be cropped off. In his example it's not making a big difference but with my images it's not really possible. Not sure what's the best way to crop and resize if you don't want to lose any part of the image...
Thanks, @Alek. Great ideas. Question. Who's the target customer on Etsy buying the digital art? People looking to resell as physical products? Or just individuals for personal use? Just curious. Thanks!
@@alekSheffy Do they print them at home or need to go to a store to print for the bigger sizes? If so, Where should you recommend the customer to go? an art store or a larger chain like Fedex or Office Max? (By the way great video, thanks!)
I have been following this guide step by step but I am running into several problems. First, when I crop the images in Photopea, the images I've saved as 5x7 and 8x10 for example are still HUGE. Like, way bigger than 5 inches x 7 inches. Also, when I drag and drop into Figma, my image is WAYYYYY to big, even if it's the 5x7 for example that I saved. When you do it in this video, your image is centre'd in Figma and fits on the screen, however mine stretches to the size of several screen lengths. What could I be doing wrong?
@@adriannap7877 thanks. I haven't gone back to fool around with the programs again yet. Seems like he leaves out some important steps in this video. I've followed step by step and it really doesn't work what he shows.
Is there something as having too many listings on your store? Is there a point where it becomes detrimental to have to many clogging up your store? giving customers too much choice and thus analysis paralysis?
On Etsy, people are generally searching for specific things so it shouldn't matter if you have lots of listings. Having said that, if a store has a niche, then that's better for promoting your items to people following your store.
I think there is a major security flaw in the method used to distribute the digital files. When giving the customer the link to download basically anyone with that link can download the files, meaning that one person can buy it, then share the link and there's no profit. Alex, what's your solution for that case ? By the way, thanks a lot for the inspiration and greta videos man, really appreciate them!
It takes about 10-20 hours to start to learn the AI but its' lots of fun! You can start by copying public prompts...yes it takes some work, as does anything.
Thanks for the video! Just a question, the maximum resolution Midjourney can produce, even with upscaling, is 1664px x 1664px. How would you turn this image into a digital print for wall art? The biggest size it could be printed at an excellent quality would probably be under 15cm, max 30 cm but that would be stretching it. Small wall art?
Upscale it then crop. He missed that step. Look online for ai upscale there are paid and free services. You want to be over the 300dpi rather than under. 300 is the bare minimum. If you do large prints, you need to have something like 24,000 PX by 36,000 (say a tapestry or wallpaper or blanket)
It's incredible what a cess pool so much of youtube has become because of unscrupulous marketers. Not the content maker of this video, although I'm just SO tired of the constant head banging video style of rapid cuts and fast talking. It's enough to drive you batty.
Just curious, the example used in the video using mid journey produces a 2:3 ratio. Following his steps and reorienting the sizes (Photopea) to match the other print size doesn't always yield the same result. Sometimes the crop is too tight or extends beyond the picture. How does one get around that since Midjopurney does not reproduce the same picture for varying aspect ratios?
Thanks for an awesome video. For folks wanting to use Public Domain instead of AI art, how could we create size variations (if at all) like you did in Photopea? Often Public Domain images have random dimensions! 😂
more troubleshooting would be very helpful. If you did multiple variations of each step where you are interacting with new programs, that would be helpful. for instance, if the viewer doesn't choose your exact mock up, it looks different in photopea, and they might not be able to find the "your photo here." Why do a Jpeg for each step instead of a PNG? Unless you upscale with another program, you photos will look terrible, you skipped that. Fast videos are easy to watch, but hard to follow. Overall pretty good, so thanks, but more detail and troubleshooting would be better in my opinion

Great videos Alex! Probably a silly question. You show the frame sizes and then the photo sizes next to them. Are these supposed to be read straight across? Would I create a 5x7 photo for an 8 x 10 frame? Thanks.
Unfortunately the AI was trained on hundreds of millions of images without consent from the creators. 🙁 As incredible as the images are, I couldn't in good conscience use that technology. Profiting off of millions of artists without their consent.

What UA-camrs Don't Tell You About AI Art:
Approval required: To sell on most major Print on Demand (POD) platforms, you need to be accepted as a seller or artist beforehand, which can take a significant amount of time depending on demand.
Only passive income is trading, obligations, apartaments etc.
yep, and this guy is just clickbaiter...this is his actual side hustle, make clickbait videos
Another very important factor that those promoting AI content often ignore, is that AI generated content can't be copyrighted. Someone could grab all the images and sell them themselves, because there's no legal ownership.
This also means it isn't a solid business model. You can invest a lot of time and money into promoting this work and not get much from it
Thank you John, but unfortunately your comment won't get many likes.
Finally someone points out the reality. Thanks dude.
Thanks, I just googled him I'm really impressed with his credentials. I reached out to him since I need all the assistance I can get.
They told me not to buy a house with this market.
Now I earn more than 2k passively from that property and keep looking for more to buy.

Sweet lord. Just chiming in here... Great vid... Use artboards and a template. Create a blank project with an art board in each aspect ratio you need. Save as template.
Are you actually using this method? Or are you just trying to get us to use your affiliate links?
Is there a quality issue if you just scale up with photopea? How does that picture actually look on an 8x10? Great video, super helpful!
I was thinking the same. You're essentially stretching the image and pixellating it unless the original image is 8 x 10 itself.
Stop making videos please, let me get ahead first :P

Through a print on demand platform like Printify or Printful.

10:24 After purchasing the print, the customer can click on the hyperlink which will take them to the Google drive folder with the images. The customer can then download the images and print them
@@marc5738 yes I am wondering why too
I gave this a try so far i haven't sold a single digital poster xD.
When i average 100 dollar per month i will be celebrating 🤣🤣
what do you mean by digital utility prints?
guys stop commenting that this video is legit and you are going to try it. comment that this video is legit and YOU earned money with it.
If you search Etsy business and or Etsy SEO you will find plenty of YTers who walk you through the process very well
Great video once again.
Just so you know if you sell pub domain vintage art you often have to clean it up quite a bit depending on the source.
Gigapixel Ai does a great job but it's $99
Love this!
Question for you, what decided the specific sizes you picked for digital? And how does it translate to the suppliers from printify? The suppliers I've looked through for posters seem to not support most of these sizes, but the canvas suppliers do. Any input would be appreciated.
This is a great question I hope he looks at this!
Ditto. This is the one part of his plan here that has me scratching my head
I know how much effort goes into producing content that provides value - thank you!!
You answered a ton of my questions regarding aspect ratio and how to provide different sizes. Thank you
Great to hear!
That's the bit I don't understand.

@Choppy_12 you were right the first time, the "final frame size" is the size of the frame. In the chart he gives you the frame size paired with the corresponding photo size. @@lifewithnyx9979 Exactly. Who would buy a digital file of artwork that they themselves have to find a way to print out? I think ETSY sellers are shipping out the physical prints.
@@sentry8992 you may be right !
Instead of using a Google drive link, you can zip the files which should greatly reduce the file size so that it can be uploaded to Etsy or wherever you're selling.
@@sentry8992 Oh sure, all of the examples of successful digital download shops are all FAKE, right?
How important is it to create multiple variations of each ratio? For example, ratio 2:3 - the largest size (in inches) I can see people selling is 20x30. You also have 16x24, 12x18 & 8x12. Is it recommended to create all of those or just the larger size which could print on the smaller sizes anyway? Or, because the images are scaled down to the smaller sizes, do they not print as well as when creating them to the specific sizes in Photoshop?
you have to create just the largest size for each ratio file.
Hi - wouldn't scaling it up reduce the resolution? Even if we make it 300 DPI, it will look pixelated when printed anyway?
Yeah, thank you, I was wondering the same and I'm pretty sure you can't just increase DPI like this.

Quick question, when exporting your jpeg out of Photopea, do you set the quality at 100%? funny- i am at the point you were 3 months ago and as surprised about exporting to a jpg as opposed to a png (which maintains the original quality). i plan to export to 100% to maintain as much quality as possible and will see how it goes.
@@cha1868any update on doing it that way?
I wonder if he didn’t know what he was doing and was just making videos for views
Great video but you missed one crucial step - all generated pictures from Midjourney have to be UPASCALED to be printable! Does Photopea upscale and create more pixels and better quality of the picture, when you enlarge it (small pic to 20x30)? I do not think so...
maybe it's not the case of the paid version of Mijourney 🤷♂
@@miriades No, it is, I use it. But anyhow quality art print (if you don't want to be "pixelated" or blurry) need much more pixels that Midjourney generate. That's why you have to use after all some upscaling program. Topaz gigapixel is the best but it's not free.
Thanks for sharing this invaluable knowledge. The detail you provide has motivated me to give this idea a try. You don't leave anyone guessing how to start. Thanks.
Hi @Alek, awesome video! How would you execute transforming the digital print into a physical one ? Thank you!
Sublimation is a good one
Hi
thanks for the video , really inspirating
One question: are the output images big enough to de directly upload to etsy for print ? or should you use a upscaled version: because i ve tried and etsy is telling me that images should be at least 2k pixel wide which is not the case in midjourney , even after i ve upscale with the midjourney option it seems. maybe i m doing something wrong ?
Also is there a way to automate the export in multiple ratio some way ? :D
thanks for the feedback
Interesting video. A quick question. What about driving traffic to your Etsy store? Can you recommend any good methods?
Audi is normal car driving
You can pay to run ads
Tia, thanks! You audio would greatly greatly improved if you invested in a pop filter and a mic stand. of the two, the inexpensive pop filter is the more critical for you .
You make fantastic, informative videos. Thank you so much. What I was wondering is.... should you have a seperate Etsy store just for your digital prints? Another for Mugs and Stickers?
Thanks! Yeah, I like the idea of separating at least digital and physical products
@Alek should I crop the image by the Art/Photo size aspect ratio chart and not the Final frame size chart? Or should I do both? Thanks!
Yeah, this one is confusting me as well
Hey @Alek, same doubt here! Help us out, pleeaaase! Thanks
@@saqqarawright Yes it does!
What settings are you using for listing details (handmade) and production partners? Nobody making these AI Etsy videos discloses this and it's a major factor in not getting a shop suspended.
With aspect ratios what ones should we use... final frame size or art/photo size?
Im also interested in this
I believe you would be interested in the Art/Photo size column as that is what you are generating for the customer - who will then need to go find a corresponding frame from the other column... but maybe im misunderstanding myself.
Why would you chose jpg to export the images? By choosing it you loose quality for datasize.... It really hurts to see
YOU ARE AWESOME! Thank you so much for these detailed videos! I couldn't do it without you.
I don't really understand the ratios. I created some 2:3 pictures but if I crop them in, let's say, 8 x 10 or 16 x 20, parts of the image will be cropped off. In his example it's not making a big difference but with my images it's not really possible. Not sure what's the best way to crop and resize if you don't want to lose any part of the image...
maybe don't?
not all images have to be all different aspect ratio
hold down the shift key while resizing the image with your mouse clicked as well
Thanks, @Alek. Great ideas. Question. Who's the target customer on Etsy buying the digital art? People looking to resell as physical products? Or just individuals for personal use? Just curious. Thanks!
People looking to print them out themselves 👍
Do it individually for each file. Create a new board for 8x10, 11x14, etc...
@@adriannap7877 thanks. I haven't gone back to fool around with the programs again yet. Seems like he leaves out some important steps in this video. I've followed step by step and it really doesn't work what he shows.
@@ag_levy did it work for you? I've had a similar problem and I've used those dimensions you've mentioned.
Thx for the video!
Would you recommend separate shops for different genres (like animals, antic oil paintings etc.)?
Love this business model. How do you feel about Spoonflower? Thank you for all of the helpful information.
Your videos are Gold man! thanks for being truly clear!!
I appreciate that!
Is there something as having too many listings on your store? Is there a point where it becomes detrimental to have to many clogging up your store? giving customers too much choice and thus analysis paralysis?
From what I've seen, the stores with the most variety do the best on Etsy.
On Etsy, people are generally searching for specific things so it shouldn't matter if you have lots of listings. Having said that, if a store has a niche, then that's better for promoting your items to people following your store.

What's the link to get started with an Etsy shop? Appreciate the content you are making!
hey mate, love the content. do you have the afflilate link for Etsy?
I think there is a major security flaw in the method used to distribute the digital files. When giving the customer the link to download basically anyone with that link can download the files, meaning that one person can buy it, then share the link and there's no profit. Alex, what's your solution for that case ?
By the way, thanks a lot for the inspiration and greta videos man, really appreciate them!
I was wondering the same question for myself, and wondering too why noone else caught this ?
It takes about 10-20 hours to start to learn the AI but its' lots of fun! You can start by copying public prompts...yes it takes some work, as does anything.
It is a lot of fun!
I thought the resizing with photopea would also multiply the pixels. If not you need to use a tool to multiply the pixels of the picture

Yes, so true.
Mid journey can actually do different aspect ratios now. Check out the options for v4 of mid journey
yes same here. 5x7 , 20x30 works fine. but 8x10, 11x14 changes the images size.
@@samanthahew6805 did you forget to click fixed ratio?
Awesome info! Ty. What protects your art from being copied or sold by a buyer?
Thanks for an awesome video. For folks wanting to use Public Domain instead of AI art, how could we create size variations (if at all) like you did in Photopea? Often Public Domain images have random dimensions! 😂
@ 10:49, In Etsy do you have to upload your image as a pdf or can you use a word doc with your imbedded link to your files?
more troubleshooting would be very helpful. Overall pretty good, so thanks, but more detail and troubleshooting would be better in my opinion

failed. you can never beat the ppl who have already done it months ago. the ideas u can think of , they would already have done it. why is this so? its because they aare doing it full time. the trick here is to do it full time. if you are only treating it as a side hustle like me, you will fail. i work a full time job and i tried this out for 3 months with new listings every 2-4 days i get views and maybe 0-2 sales per month
im going to watch every video mate. im a newbie from a long construction background. its a little overwhelming. but you make sense to me. is there a video that'll show me how to prioritize starting out at digital marketing. What to do first. build websites?
Great videos Alex! Probably a silly question. You show the frame sizes and then the photo sizes next to them. Are these supposed to be read straight across? Would I create a 5x7 photo for an 8 x 10 frame? Thanks.
In your opinion, is it important to make sure you have reviews on your store? Or a customer service section
Unfortunately the AI was trained on hundreds of millions of images without consent from the creators. 🙁
As incredible as the images are, I couldn't in good conscience use that technology. Profiting off of millions of artists without their consent.
Investing in alternative income streams that are independent of the government should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. Stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment...
