The whole jeep community has been asking for a V8 for literally decades....
I got my 2023 wrangler 392 about 4 months ago and I love it. It’s not as bad on gas as I thought. It could be better but if you keep it at 65 or at the very least under 70 it’s not terrible. The problem is it’s so much fun and sounds so beautiful that it’s hard to not ride the gas pedal hard.

... I always get fascinated and amused as well when hearing this question : "Who actually needs Jeep Wrangler with this ridiculous V8 engine?" or "Who actually needs anything with this ridiculous V8 in it?" - most answers sound : "Nobody, that's who." BUT the fact remains, we're all buying it anyway ...
Jeep could have been doing this for years… they could have been punking the G Wagen with a faster, more capable, more versatile rig for 1/2 the price.
Honestly as a former AMG G63 owner, the joke is on them, not jeep 392 owners. This is actually a good value for what it is.
It's really not as well put together as a G Wagen though.
