The wrangler with the base engine 2.0l turbo 0-60 in 5.8sec according to caranddriver, they did a comparison test against the bronco 2.7t v6 and the wrangler was faster to 0-60.
Part of the reason they limit it to 110 mph is because it has a 4.56 rear end. That's a serious torque ratio, not a speed/economy ratio. Even with the eight speed trans, I'm guessing it would be revving pretty high at top speed.

@@joe6096 Yup, my 2020 Civic that I bought in March is worth (on trade-in) $3500 more than I paid for it new. It's going to be a while before car prices go back to normal.
@@joe6096 Same with everything. Try buying a new motorcycle or a used one in decent shape.
@@Tormundisc00l that's crazy.
13:06 Evil laugh 😈
first time seeing Doug is laughing like that!
Doug laughing like a kid with a new toy at 13.05. Priceless! 😂
Now this a Jeep that I could buy to go off roading on the highway
5:19 low bolt has been installed in wrong direction. Basically Principe, the nut shall be on another side of the bracket, so in case loss of the nut the bolt shall not leave the hole.
I love the sleeper package and the passing power is great 👍
Oh no he actually got his hands on the new WRX 🤣 can't wait for his take on it
Also seeing Doug feel more comfortable with himself in his videos, especially at @13:05 makes me happy for him
it brings joy seeing a modern off roader with a v8 and solid axels, flipping off rivian and that toothbrush powered car
Zero to death wobble faster than usual!
Ha ha ha!
I've never had any issues of that, and neither has my wife. 🤷♂️
I don’t care about this vehicle, I just like seeing Doug being Doug.
The fact that the only Wrangler with a V8 cost like 100k is ridiculous... Like WTF are people thinking? You could get a brand new Land Cruiser and throw a supercharger on it for less than that
I’ve watched this video 3 times and just saw that Doug puts a little kneed brace under his knee in the beginning . Good attention to the detail Doug !
Dougs quirky personality really grows on you so I subscribed to his channel and watch every video he puts out now
First! I'm so early I got here before Doug even took you on a tour of the car to show you it's quirks & features, got it out on the road to drive it, or gave it a Doug Score.
🥈
4th bro
UA-cam Secret: Doug actually records himself reviewing, testing and scoring the cars ahead of time. He probably took us on a tour of its quirks and features days ago.
Watch the video before you comment
When Doug laughs like the joker in a vehicle review, you know he likes it😀
Props to the towel for keeping doug’s knee scrape free
13:04 - my favorite 15 seconds of a Doug Demuro video ever. 😂
FINALLY A NICE, SHORT, TO-THE-POINT VIDEO!
Doug laughing like a kid with a new toy at 13.05. Priceless 😂
Love how Doug’s videos are as good as his old
If you're buying a Jeep with a 392 for the drag strip, I'm afraid you're in the wrong market. Jeep enthusiasts will appreciate the increased torque for smoother terrain engagements, and the beefier tires for better grappling and handling.
just wait somebody will be disabling that speed limiter and throwing slicks on all 4 corners and sending it hard. itll happen and im ready to see it lol
Still runs a 12 sec 1/4 and will smoke tons of cars on the street to 60..0-60 4.0
Well you can have both because it's still pretty impressive on a drag strip haha
@@bobquattrini1787 ofcourse. No car on the rod does 0-60 in 4 seconds unless it's performance oriented or a modded sleeper
@@1986hvwchampion Tesla would like to have a word. A non plaid Tesla pretty much anything can do 0-60 in less than four seconds.
I have two on my lot right now and these things starting up will put a grin on anyone’s face. The exhaust on this beast is a chef’s kiss.
Sounds like a true muscle car.
All you gotta watch is 12:55-13:22 pure gold.
I’m 💀 at Doug’s laugh when he’s driving it. 😂 😂
Cool Jeep. $30k extra for a V8 is just bonkers though. Even if it were a Hellcat V8, it'd still be steep.
It’s worth exactly what people will pay for it. Try pricing out a G wagon and this will seem like a steal.
@@yungboicontigo9278 Woooooow. So impressive. Lmao! First of all, most celebs have the IQ of a Fish, and are not car people, for the most part. Second of all, none of them are gonna take it off roading, as it has proper capabilities of doing it. 3rd of all, that “status” of these people, perfectly fits the stereotypes of the typical G Wagon owner that Doug primarily mentioned in his G63 AMG review. As much as I love the G class, these people may have the Bank as big as Scrooge McDuck, but their personalities are as poor as a Hobo.
Bad boy Doug leaving folks in the dust and giving the evil laugh - gold
Shocks doesn’t lift a suspension , the springs do ,only thing a shock does is dampen the ride when going over rough things and helps keep the axle on the ground to prevent wheel bounce
Perfect.
Back seat drops for 74 inches
of length to tailgate,
creating a bed for two.
A top rack for the spare 35.
Yippee!
perfecto.
Only good thing about this is that engine replacements for my dodge charger scat pack will be not as expensive in the future if every model has a 392.
I can't believe that you let Tyler Hoover beat you to the review of this Jeep. For shame!
That's just crazy. Imagine the typical "whoopsie I confused my brake with the gas pedal" kind of crash, in this.
Hi Doug,
I hope you will consider bringing back Doug Score discussions at the end even for less important cars, cause I love hearing you speak on the topic and explain each category!
This is a Sunday review, meaning he doesn't break down the DougScore. He didn't break it down back in Thursday because he believes that the final verdict is the most important part to discuss.
@@bonzobonanza yeah I know, but I would like it if he’d break it down, I love his commentaries
I hate that price tag, but this is the most impressive Jeep I've ever seen. I have now officially changed my dream car.
Literally all of the Wrangler community asked for a 5.7 for YEARS. Jeep, well, went straight to plaid and stuffed the 6.4 in it for $20-30k more than everyone wanted to pay.
It also has zero reason to sound as good as it does. And im happy that it does. Just a really ridiculous jeep and I really want it
Typical of Chrysler. They always surprise. They never cease to amaze 😁😁
Yep! I'd rather have the 5.7.
It’ll still sell out
It's not just limited to112mph for the tires, though I'm sure it's a top of the list reason. The wheel base, width, ride height combination would be nothing short of dangerous at high speed.
If you do over 100 in this thing you're nuts.
there are a bajillion other SUVs that go 160+ easily and the only difference between this and those is the tires…
Every mom suv and jeep owner drives like they’re in a Viper
@@runfunmc64 As a Jeep Mechanic, going more than 90+ in a Wrangler is dangerous lol. Jeep did not build these machines with speed in mind. This vehicle is made for Off-Roading. High Center of Gravity, Chassis designed entirely for Strength and Off-Roading, Brick like shape with its weight and horrendous areodynamics. This is all excluding jeep wranglers infamous Death-Wobble at high speeds. Take a turn at 80+ you might just die lmao. Any SUV that can reach 160+ easily was designed with that in mind. @ Jeep Trackhawk.
Nuts is my middle name
@@runfunmc64 name one of those bajillion that can and I'll show you an "SUV" with little more off road capability than a Camry.
$80k for a Jeep? Money doesn't mean anything anymore.
Nope, you will own nothing and be happy.
they offer this crazy V8, and the 4xE, I like how they offer so many options
They even offer a turbo 4 cylinder. Many options
@@iGaRaai90 and you can buy a new jeep and resell it 3 years later for 90% MSRP
Thank you Doug, for another fun year of reviews.Merry Christmas to All,and a happier new year.
the biggest takeaway from this video is that men prefer how something sounds rather than how good it performs.
That maniacal laugh Doug 😳😂
God bless everyone who looked at emissions, taxes and rising fuel prices and still said I want a V8 Rubicon, the world would be a much worse place without us.
That note is UNREASONABLY good
I like that it doesn't scream 392 with 1000 badges etc. It's more sleeper status in a way and I prefer that with a daily kind of driver.
I'm pretty surprised doug has never reviewed any nissan skyline before (excluding the R34)
Doug is the type of guy to call people about their extended warranty after they shop at Cars and Bids.
