$51K for a top end Highlander is way better than spending $58K for a GMC Acadia Denali maxed out or $57K for a top end Chevy traverse high country. Plus we know the Toyota will be reliable
The Highlander doesn’t seem to be a good match for the Telluride and this is painful. Over the past 15 years i have owned and driven Toyota brand of vehicle but I think it is time to make a switch.
@@dff533 telluride is good but highlander is superior in terms of outstanding quality, comfort, and resale value offsetting the couple of thousand you might save in the beginning. Also Keep in mind that telluride's engine is GDI and this type of engine over time will accumulate carbon on the intake valves and fuel injectors won't last as long which equals to more maintenance costs as opposed to highlander's sophisticated and trouble free D4-S engine.
Just picked up my gorgeous new 2020 Highlander XLE in Ruby flare pearl from Toyota of Orange , right near Disneyland here in Southern California. It is completely fantastic! The driving experience on the new TNGA Toyota platform gives it a solid, easy handling. The high quality interior is loaded with plenty of technology & amenities that the base trim lacks! The new outside styling looks way better in person than it ever did in any online photos. My salesman was so very professional, honest & explained everything to me. This was a straight sale...$39,600 MSRP plus tax & license. Already got 5 compliments parking it outside my favorite restaurant for Sunday dinner today. So happy with my purchase!! Thanks for your review!

I love this new Highlander. It looks to be an excellent vehicle. Great review, Sir. You gave everyone an in-depth view of the vehicle and that's the purpose of the channel. Thank you! Have a blessed one.
Congrats on your review, guys.Love the new Highlander Platinum esp with its glazed caramel leather interior. It's also quite incredible to see a young driver who knows how to consistently use directional lights (blinkers) when so MANY drivers do not bother to use them. Using blinkers is not just a courtesy matter but a safety issue; it's basic driving 101. I'm starting to think that some drivers do not even know there's a no-cost, standard blinkers stalk attached to their steering wheel!
@ artdelac, for those of who forget to use their turn signal, there should be a new "safety feature" that focuses on the driver's turn to another road and the turn signal automatically comes on once the steering wheel makes a turn onto another road or lane; for those that are forgetful.

Good review. To answer your question, No if we're talking amenities and space. Yes, if we're talking sales volume and hybrid availability. The Telluride and Palisade now set the benchmark for amenities, space and cost. Toyota reliability is hard to argue, but they missed the mark in a few key areas: 1) Infotainment system - 12.3 screen but you cannot expand your favorites to utilize the entire space. 2) Ease of moving 2nd row seat - with all the technology out there why have three different ways to fold and move that row forward. 3) Why no power passenger seat at this price point? 4) Would 2 more inches of legroom really have impacted this version adversely in terms of repeat customers? 5) A combination of minor items: No 3rd row USB ports, no power 3rd row folding seat option, no power folding mirrors on top trim. The hybrid is the most appealing option because they have little competition in that space (exception Ford Explorer).
It’s really beautiful!!!! Platinum is the way to go! I have seen like 5 of these on the road! IMO the Platinum really shines! Especially the hybrid! Please review the hybrid variant!

Called my dealership last week to get an update on the arrival date but all they could tell me was that Toyota accepted my order and the salesman assumes it should be here hopefully in April.
Great review but surprised there was no mention of the chocolate brown trim on the interior. I haven't seen that in any toyota I have owned since my very first one, 1982 corolla. Notice the newer, bigger, and now shiny, sun-catching touch screen right out there where it catches ALL sunlight making it difficult to see on a sunny day. My 2019 screen is almost impossible to view on a sunny southern California day. The designers clearly have not spent any time in the drivers seat on these cars.

I feel like Toyota ENOUGH to stay afloat and then skerts by once they have a big update.
Super nice vehicle. But, during my test drive, I found the bottom of the driver’s seat to be too shallow. I’m 6’2”, and my thigh had no support. I found it terribly uncomfortable. Otherwise, I would have snatched one up.
😂😂😂 Now this is one Toyota that’s got my eyes inside and out! Itd be that much nicer with dual exhaust tips.
this V6+Hybrid from my Lexus would be the best choice or even better as PlugIN (Prime) Version !!
Maybe not the Platinum but those LE's are gonna sell like hotcakes
For $50 k I'd buy the new Genesis Gv80
To each his own but Kia/Hyundai vs Toyota? Really? Not even close.
U got to wake up its not 2007 anymore kia and hyundai make great cars there fit and finish and intial quality is better then most mainstream brands at the same price point
@@andrewwhite103 KBB top 10 best vehicles for resale value in 2019. Toyota has three in the top five. Kia/Hyundai not even on the list. Maybe in another decade or two.
Im sticking with the Telluride
This vs the telluride and palisade vs the explorer
Stay tuned to the channel!
oooh something the Highlander can eat now this is challenge
In my opinion the palisade and telluride still are better
@Melissa Manohar doubt it
I was sold on the palisade until I saw all the plastic on the motor that things is a pos
I wish this car had a RWD layout ..could have been more fut to drive as well
Please review the Honda Pilot vs Toyota Highlander
Not sure if cup holders on the floor is a good idea.
is reflector worse then projector??? dimmer? I know projector is for changing direction with steering wheel.. other then that????
Nice video... nice car 🚗
Toyota, take notes on the comments when compared to the Koreans. We Know you make reliable cars but so do the Koreans with a much better warranty. Please upgrade the plastics in your cars and add more content.
Hybrid comes sometime in February.
You should compare this to the Palisade or the Telluride.
Stay tuned in a few days!
Of the 15 passenger vehicles that will last 200k miles, Toyota has 5 and Honda has 3 on the list. Nothing from Hyundai or Kia made the list.
Of course there hasnt been anything from kia and hyundai they just started improving quality wise 6 years ago
My grandfathers sorento is almost at 100k, no problems with it.

That engine noise is loud.. and so is the outside noise.. the reason I don't like my current Rav 4.. I was hoping the higher end Highlander would be a bit more luxurious and quiet.. .. but sound turns me off.
71 decimals way too.loud
Would be very grateful if you guys (or anyone who has the 2020 Highlander) could measure the diameter (across length) of the 2020 Highlander! It would be somewhere around 14.5” to 15.5”. I’m hoping to order a steering wheel cover in advance but don’t know which size to get. Thanks in advance!
* i.e. steering wheel diameter.
Will come for you before March
I don't know why cars still coming with light bulbs turning lights
