Aha. Tony chainsaw and plumbers torch that equals a great video. Thanks Tony it really brightens my day seeing you doing what you love doing. Keep em coming my friend ❤
You are doing great work on these trees, as usual. Keep having fun. I kick myself every time I catch a glance of that silver birch in the drawer. I should have gotten it at your extravaganza.
If you could just send me that oak tree, I have the perfect tiny little owl for the owl hole. I had to laugh at your reference to 'rocket scientist.' My daughter worked in England for a while, and was engaged to an actual rocket scientist from Leeds. She didn't think it was too funny when I laughed when told of his profession. Who would ever think you would meet a real rocket scientist. Thanks for bringing back that memory.
The oak's growing really well. I love your sense of humour, and it's great to see your family helping out. Not that they can take the place of the star! Keep smiling Tony! 😊
I love your positivity and have fun watching your updates Tony! It’s fun to see you have fun with your trees and your family. Gepetto and the star of the show made me laugh so hard! 😂
Hilarious. Rick the new apprentice let loose with a chain saw. Results look great though. Loving the creativity. Great to see you still enjoying yourself Tony.
A plants will to survive after so much work is incredible... i love what you did to this tree.. the excitement is beautiful to hear....amazing 🤩 thanks Tony
Talk about keep it in the family mate your brother has done a great job with the oak and the chain saw, you must be really frustrated watching but not able to do it all of the work yourself, I feel for you Tony. Times like these that family’s pull together. Take care.
Cheers Joe. It's challenging sometimes taking a more passive role, but honestly providing the trees improve I just love it no matter who's belting the chisel
Cheers Dave. It's a really handy little tool that chainsaw. Definitely something with lots of potential for bonsai creativity Nice job today on the new structure. I really enjoyed watching it begin to come together, and it makes a lot of sense to build something that regulates temperature better. Fascinating stuff!
Love your humour Tony 😂 had me literally dieing with geppetto and focus on the star 😂😂😂 lovely work on the tree's! Gonna try that heating trick on a juniper today
It's definitely more satisfying working on fresher flexible jins, but this work is necessary to get the stump manageable down the line I think using the Dremel on it to refine it should be more satisfying
Hi tony, your friends and family are great helping you out,but I can tell you just want get in there and do it yourself.but I must say that was a great job on that oak.
lol - do your trees start physically shaking when your family approach them with the torch and chainsaw?!? The owl hole looks marvelous - very natural - hard to believe it was made with a power tool. Really interested to see how the different segments of the hawthorn trunk sort themselves out - which branches live, where the live edges develop - fascinating!!
Hi Sue. The top of this tree is far from finished, and I'm my mind now requires quite a bit of refinement with a Dremel. I've never used one, but how difficult can it be?
Great chainsaw action 😂 Looking good. And after waiting forever for a can of butane gas I finally need to attack the long twisty jin on that juniper I have with my mini blowtorch. 🔥
Really good Tony if you are able would love to see more about gin and burning and bending learning loads thank you very much with what must be a massive effort at times for you all credit to you mate credit were credit due respect to you bob
Another ACTION PACKED episode with fire & danger. Warning.. do not try this without adult supervision...always wear the appropriate safety equipment and do not perform these tasks alone... in enclosed spaces or at heights... we highly recommend using only a bonsai master trained professional to carry out these tasks.
🤣🤣ah yes. Great points which I definitely agree with too. People need to bare in mind that myself and most of my family are not quite right in the head 😂😂
Aha. Tony chainsaw and plumbers torch that equals a great video. Thanks Tony it really brightens my day seeing you doing what you love doing. Keep em coming my friend ❤
Thanks Andrew. We can't be letting our trees go soft on us mate 😂
You are an inspiration to us all Tony. Keep doing what you do. 😊❤
Thanks Pamela. There's no more enjoyable way for me to be spending my afternoons, so long may they continue 🙂
So crazy, I love it! Live every day as though it is your last, and may there be many more - especially when they are filled with this goodness.
Thanks Rebecca.
I'm hoping that I've got a few left in the tank yet, but as you say, until then, I'm having a blast
Brilliant 👌 great camera work Rick, love the laughter at the end really made me smile 😁
Cheers Russell. He's a big rocky fan, so I think that's where he gets his camera work style from
That oak is lovely and will make a magnificent bonsai one day. Love your sense of humour Tony, thanks for brightening up my day buddy
You are doing great work on these trees, as usual. Keep having fun.

Yeah it's looking good after a recent pruning. I'm really enjoying developing the weeping form of my birch just beautiful trees

Excellent. The thing with those rocket scientists, is that they're no brain surgians 🤣

And that guy had a real sense of humor
Great job at pushing forward with development on the trees.
Also good banter, with your brother.
Makes for great entertainment.
Thanks nick.vim particularly glad that you enjoyed th banter. We always had a laugh working together plastering too

They're brilliant. Even my sister is catching the bonsai bug!
It's contagious and spreading everywhere! 💙

Really glad that you enjoyed the humour mate. We had a blast filming this one. I'll tell Gepeto that you enjoyed it
@@TonysBonsai 😂
No fear - that's the way to go. You are an instrument of mother nature :)
Thes stumps need taming at some poin. I think I'll get in there with a Dremel next
Tony, I didn't stop laughing all the way through that. I can't even remember what Geppetto did to the tree!!! 😂😂❤
🤣🤣 glad you enjoyed it mate. It's hard to know if people will get our sense of humour but I'm glad you did
Geppetto😂😂😂😂😂
Even this Dutchie did understand, but maybe I’m as crazy as you and Tony. 😂
Hilarious. Rick the new apprentice let loose with a chain saw. Results look great though. Loving the creativity. Great to see you still enjoying yourself Tony.
Good job, Tony, take care.
Cheers mate

Indeed these hawthorn are as tough as old boots. It's a long way from finished but it does at least now feel like it's on its way

What fun Tony, love the video! :)
Thank you. And I agree. Bonsai should be fun I think, and how can it not be outside on a lovely day
Wow, the work on the oak looks awesome Tony and will look great as it heals over!
Thanks Mark. Yeah hopefully given some time now it will really look good. Rick's very happy with the results
gepetto i love it. haha. looked like great fun.
Proper laugh mate. We had a blast filming it
We all need a chainsaw like that!!!! Nice work my friend!
Cheers Dave. It's a really handy little tool that chainsaw. Definitely something with lots of potential for bonsai creativity

Cheers Chris it's hard to take this kind of bonsai work too seriously, although to be fair, Gepettto did do a excellent job I think
@@TonysBonsai one life lesson learned. Don't take life so seriously. Enoy life
Made me laugh..... not sure 'subtle' is the word id have used to describe that owl hole but looks good all the same! 💙 X x
Chainsaw Bonsai. It's a Master Class. Cheers chap.
YES!!!! another epic Master Tony video :)
Thank you. I love documenting this kind of work as I find it such fun
It is kind of satisfying, the nibbeling away from the dead wood, Tony, isn’t it? 😂 Enjoy your day! 🙋♀️ Cheers Martina

@@TonysBonsai Haaahaa - in my hands, a dremel might be lethal!! You'll do just fine 😁
You got the blow torch out on your bonsai again Tony 😜
That oak is going to look cool mate 👍👍👍
Yeah I reckon given a couple of years now, that hollow is going to look really good
Great chainsaw action 😂
Looking good.
And after waiting forever for a can of butane gas I finally need to attack the long twisty jin on that juniper I have with my mini blowtorch. 🔥
I'd definitely wrap it in foil first. Seemed a better technique to me
@@TonysBonsai I will definitely do that 👍
First
All looking beautiful tony!! Such inspiration

It is your phone
@@watsup6084nope,will try again though

Seeems ok on my end but thanks for the head's up
@@TonysBonsai nah its ok,I think my phone was having a senior moment 😂
You took Peter Chan’s saying a bit further and not only creating space for birds to fly through but give them a permanent home in the tree. 👍😊
Indeed. Those owls need somewhere to nest! Might be a great spot for a miniature figure in the future.

I think I'll see if I can find a spruce to play with and do a proper heat/bend on some much softer wood.
I don't think a chainsaw is the right tool for me. 😲I continue using my carving irons.

Thank you
