It was always great to see how much you enjoyed your trees. Your life was short, but your impact was great. Your memory will endure even by those who never met you, The videos will go a long way to help anyone who is thinking of trying Bonsai out. I have been growing Bonsai for over thirty years and still watched your videos just because of your enthusiasm. Your wonderful family have been blessed to have you in their life, and your job is done. You were a wonderful man, so rest in peace, Tony, and thank you.
Lovely to watch your penultimate video again, Tony. 3 months on from when you sadly left us, I still miss your cheerful and informative presentation style. I am so pleased someone is still curating your wonderful content and another 1000 wise subscribers have joined to view your evergreen back catalogue. Still missing you.
Great video Tony and all of those are looking great future material. I'm sure many people will be happy to see this latest video. keep enjoying life. Cheers
Your strength and perseverance in the face of challenges is truly awe-inspiring. Your good humour and passion for bonsai and the way you continue to engage with and care for these trees reflects the incredible spirit within you. Your journey is a testament to your resilience and a reminder to cherish every moment. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all. Keep doing what you love until you can do it no longer 💪
Thanks Tony for everything I have learned from you specially the strength you have show throughout your ordeal, there are many people around the world that will miss you, we love you and prey that by Noe you had the privilege to meet our Lord. God bless you and May you always rest in peace.
I must agree with others here: it is genuinely good to see you. Seeing these trees, that will probably outlive most of us, makes me think of the generations before us. It is being said of my Norwegian ancestors that when someone was born, the parents went into the forest to identify trees that would be preserved and prepared to eventually be suitable for the new person’s house. Always planning a generation or two ahead. Bonsai brings this perspective even to our modern lives. Stay strong, brother.
Fantastic to see updates to your developing tree's Tony, Wise man say.. "To become a true master of the bend one must first be willing to admit he has bent to far.." well done grasshopper you have reached enlightenment.
RIP mate. Will miss your videos. The Bonsai community has lost a goodun! 😢 There’s a lot of Bonsai enthusiasts on youtube, but I warmed to you the most, many others have nursery’s or years of experience with expensive specimen trees… You are amongst the many who are new to the art of Bonsai. You made it fun and weren’t afraid to have a go. You were brilliant mate. Your delivery was spot on. I enjoyed communicating with you. You peaked my interests and spurred me on to do better, never got to meet you or get one of your trees unfortunately. It’s a very sad day and my heart and best wishes goes out to your family. I really will miss Tony’s Bonsai. Cheers Tony 🍻
Nice to see you Tony and great to see how those Larches are developing. I remember a few months back you showed us around these young trees and it's amazing to see how they've thrived. And the maples too, they're looking great. I remember that one too. Using a JCB to make bonsai 😂 Take care Tony and wishing you all the best!
Good stuff Tony. I’ve placed some pots on the ground and got some amazing growth when the roots escaped. Think I’ll put a few directly in the ground for next season. Thanks, keep growing
Oh wow... I wish my larch looked half as good as yours, Tony. I almost killed mine, with with root pruning and subsequent sun burning, this spring. Its slowly recovering now. The way you have continued to soldier on with your trees and videos is astounding. Its very difficult me to find the right words,. In addition to your bonsai work you are teaching us something valuable about living and dying. Cheers, mate🙂
I wondered where you had gone to Tony. Good to see you back doing what you love. Your strength is an inspiration to us all. I’m sending you a hug, as I know you love a hug 😂😂😂x
You are really rocking it Tony. I’ve got to get some of my trees out of nursery pots and into the ground. (I’ve also got a bunch of oaks in the ground I’ve got to pot up!)
Good to see you back again, Tony ❤🙋♀️ The shape of your larch is gorgeous in my mind. I remember seeing some similar big ones while drove by Maria Alm and Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer, in Austria 👍 Enjoy your day 😘 Cheers 🙋♀️ Martina
Such a great feeling seeing and hearing you Tony, your larch is looking amazing. All the very best wishes from the bonsai project You are the g.o.a.t where bonsai is concerned
I love the naturalistic style of the large larch! The trunk is just beautiful - really lovely job laying out the primary structure. Sooo envious of your growing bed - looks larger than my front yard! Your trees are absolutely thriving!!
Nice to see you enjoying your trees. You've got a lovely collection of maples, and the larches are looking great too. You're doing a sterling job posting videos, and I admire your determination. Best wishes mate.
Nice healthy small trees. Fun to see someone else have a Rowan (or Rönn as the call them in Sweden). I have a Sorbus commixta (Japanese rowan) and I know many shy away from trees with compound leaves.
Tony, I think I bought my sticks of larches at the same time you got yours, so I will now plant them in the ground, having wired them. Your advice is all truly inspirational!
Nice to see you uploading again. Those Japanese larch are looking nice. Some good material there! Get back inside now though, it's about to hammer it down here. "CHRIS! Get me inside and get the kettle on!" 😂
In the beginning, what is the purpose of lengthening the long branch on the back right from the front? I haven't tried larch yet, so I'm curious about your planning. Thanks.
Hi Tony, love seeing you work on these. Newbie here (2 years) to bonsai, haven't worked on larch before. I was told that nothing should stick straight up or down. Is that different with larch? Hugs, hugs, and more hugs to you.
Good to see you back buddy, you had me worried over the last few days. I have two Japanese larch that I bought as bare root saplings at the beginning of the year that are doing well, looking forward to starting work on them next year.
Cheers Brian. It's looking like my output will be less over the next few weeks mate I'm going to aim more for the odd video here and there As they require more and more effort it's getting harder for me to get motivated
