- Embracing the power of the clanless. Our unpredictability is our strength. From the shadows, we Caitiff rise, unbound by lineage and free to shape the night. 🌙 #vtmtok #vampirethemasquerade #WorldOfDarkness #Caitiff #clanless #panders
Ok, before this I was never interested in Caitiff. But now I fucking love them. Thank you
hell yeah!
The strongest caitiff in existence is supposedly teh Stoneman , a legendary ancient caitiff of possibly 4th generation. He protects caitiff and bloodlines from the clans The Stoneman | White Wolf Wiki | Fandom
yeah he's pretty cool character
I've always felt there were two types of Catiff. The abandoned ones, which come from.a.clan but don't know their vampire lineage and then there are true clanless vampires which may have an Antideluvian level member lost to history.
You never know!
I have always respected the clanless for they are survivors of kaines endless nights and any person who can survive the darkest nights get a seat at my high table
agreed!

Buddy of mine is a caitiff in my story. He acts very much in a brujah way which helps him a lot. He is the strongest character by far physically. They're all still young so they still have time to grow but so far his biggest weakness is low willpower and being super susceptible to mental manipulation. He ended up killing a fellow party member because of it. And his character isnt taking that guilt so hot rn but if he lashes out because of it then he risks more coterie members unlives.
He also asked for the brujah bane and we mutually decided based on his background that he is incredibly arrogant and suffers a lot from the ventrue compulsion due to him being in a relatively well known gang in the city setting. So he bosses around other coterie members a lot as he would his gang members and when they don't listen boy he gets his panties in a bunch. Ahhhhh player drama, the tastiest of the drama. OH and as a result of him getting one of the coterie killed it resulted in said coterie memeber getting eaten by a thinblood they were running with for a bit.
Most caitiff end up being from brujah anyways so that makes a lot of sense.
@TerrilliumV Ironically the coterie member he killed was another caitiff he knew because they both got turned in a similar fashion. We took inspiration from the old Sabbat pit stuff so they both crawled out of one of those only 2 years apart. The other member in question portrayed himself as a gangrel since he had protean. He was very paranoid and the only person he wasn't paranoid about was the one that killed him in the end.
ooh sounds like a fun campaign
I have 3 groups total that I story tell for and all of them have told me they really enjoy the ball of yarn I spin for them. I have them all take place side by side so one groups failures or success can in round about ways influence the others story. One group is more combat focused and enjoys trying to muscle through problems, while the second is a group of newbies just trying to survive and find meaning in this new unlife they've been wrapped up in. And the 3rd group is more into the political and espionage side of the game.
I know a lot of the community looks down on them, but I’ve always had a soft spot for the clanless. They definitely have their weaknesses, but to me they represent adaptability, self-reliance, and the forging of friendships and alliances that supersede superficial things like lineage.
I love them as well.

Caitiff are also able to create their own unique disciplines, though it's difficult and takes years to develop
