Makes me wonder if this is the in-universe explanation for Baba Yaga's house. Or at least inspiration for a younger Tzimisce to make their home, and end up being the real Baba Yaga.
All clans are terrrifying in their own way. However, the Tzimisce are - without exception - the most terrifying clan in the World of Darkness. Whenever I think of a clan, the Tzimisce are easily in my top 5, and for all the wrong reasons.
one idea I always thought would be cool would be a Tzimisce villain with an army of utterly loyal Nosferatu. The reason why they are loyal is because he used his flesh crafting powers to cure the Nosferatu of their bane. He made them all beautiful, but this beauty is temporary over time it will rot away and they need to return to be restored. In truth he's not actually curing them but encasing them in a beautiful flesh suit and using his powers of dominate to make them think they are cured. (I'm pretty new to WOD, the whole skin suit thing is more than just extra shock value and a way secret to defeat the villain but to cover my @$$ lore wise if the Nosferatu cannot be cured.)
I absolutely love this clan for being able to be the iconic Transylvanian fashionistas, as well as the absolutely brutal and cruel shape shifters prone to moments of extreme callousness and violence. I haven’t played a game yet, but I’m very into the setting and I’m compulsively making “demo” characters and learning game lore/mechanics
Ah the Tzimisce... For 2 years I'm playing a young Tzimisce on the side of the Anarchs, masquerading as a Ventrue. Even my cotterie didn't know for a long time. 2 weeks from now we have a big anarch council, where I want to reviel myself publicly, to become part of the Triumverate that take over the post of Baron. It will be my greatest success or the start of the final death of the character. We will see. I adore this clan for the utter inhumanity they can reach, even without being evil.
@@QuantemDeconstructorsupprisingly well. My Tzimisce is not dead. We prevented a civil war and we even build the council of 3 with my character in it. But we also learned that the Elder Malkavian, who was the baron before, has pulled some strings during the council and doesn't want to elaborate on it. So this all works only as long as he wants it, which I am ok with
Played a Tzimisce in a LARP. I think I did an a passable job, albeit a "kids gloves" version. I think any sane well-adjusted individual would find it impossible to play effectively. That being what it was, and even my milk-toast version of a Tzimisce, I was told by everyone that I was terrifying. Love this clan. It definitely puts the Horror into this horror RPG.
Been playing a Kid's glove Tzimisce for awhile. Its actually quite funny and awesome. The personal conflict was trying reconcile their domineering tendencies with their high humanity.
Clans are frightening in different ways. Tzimisce are scary in a very overt and gruesome way, otherworldly evil. I personally find Malkavians, when done well, to be in the top end of the list, because they fundamentally don't play by the same rules as the rest of us. A Malkavian is the unnerving horror that cannot be reasoned or bargained with.
I absolutely adore this clan, one of my favorites. So much possibilities with their flash crafting abilities. Flesh cars, flesh tanks, flesh fortress, homosaurus rexes, flesh war ships, flesh copters, bone exo knights, flesh gundams, fleshy abomination dragons.etc.
Honestly, I genuinely want to make just the most un-Tzmisce Tzmisce player character, just a wholly benevolent, humble, mundane looking sweetheart of a vampire
I must commend you on your thorough and informative breakdown of Clan Tzimisce. Knowledge is power and best shared between allied coteries and individuals with an aligned agenda. Indeed, those who are unaware of this information are at a distinct disadvantage so thank you for enlightening those unaware while reminding those, who may have forgotten, these most important of details. You've been generous sharing your time and yet even more gracious with sharing your wisdom and knowledge. Do keep us updated when possible as we can never be too prepared for what lurks, beyond that next cobblestoned corner, in these recent nights, as of late.
No redeeming factors? Oh my good Ventrue, but I must object. You see, the comparison to dragons is very exact, in a metaphorical sense; though some of my kin have a habit of taking it literally and seeing how much they can resemble a dragon before they run out of enemies to turn into scales. No no, the redeeming quality of a Tzimisce is very simple: Honesty. A dragon has no need for lies or deceit. It is beneath us in a sense and it would just leave another weakness to be exploited by other clans. But suffice to say, if you befriend a Tzimisce and uphold your end of the relationship then you have a powerful ally. But why are there so many of us the align with those traitors in the sabbat? That is also simple, in their eyes the whole world declared themselves an enemy to us and our way of unlife. In a world dominated by the masquerade and the unfortunate totality of mortals they felt they couldn't take their true place as the true owner of all their possess, all the way down to our very flesh. I, of course, abide by the masquerade and indulge the camarilla when I need to. Because I'm not an idiot. Even our vast abilities were not able to surpass mere peasants hucking rocks, and now the mortals have weaponry far more advanced than slings. We can get by using more subtle changes. Optimisations in the muscles for each task, the subsurface shifting of flesh, shifting our features to lure in the perfect feeding stock. But if things get very dire, 'no witnesses' remains an option, something that is harder for a lot of the other serial manipulator clans to say.
As a Tremere, no, as an Individual, i find righteous joy in putting down Tzimisce. Camarilla can be confident in my loyalty to them just for the joy that Tzimisce are in Sabbat.
You got the situation mixed up-- The Sabbat Tzimisce who allegedly "diablerized" the Eldest wasnt killed, but instead Staked, and another form was fleshcrafted into a facimilie for the false diablerie. Sad the Dracon and dream were unmentioned here.
In V5 Vicissitude has been turned into a few specific powers rather than a discipline onto its own. You need both Protean and Dominate to use them and only the Tzimisce have both defaultly. This is why in the video I describe those powers in the Protean section.
Basically it doesn't really matter what human was before changing because for Tzimisce humans are resource to be used. If someone stood out by their intellect (a good serial killer that is brutal, efficient and most important intelligent would be a pick over some sub brick moron that just got a chainsaw and got lucky.) they would be changed for a specific thing/job. Like "my domain is getting too much pressure from the east so ill make a child and send them there to make their own domain as my vassal and buffer zone." If the "quest" is time sensitive anyone smart could be used (why importance on smarts/mental ability? Of course because you can mold body for anything so only thing important becomes what cannot be influenced by powers.
The horrid fiends. I have nothing but disdain for these creatures. My sire was driven from his home by their macabre creations and insatiable lust for power, and for that I shall never forgive them. They are a pox in the blood of all Kindred, one that refuses to be cured. My only advice would be to never trust them, and never assume you have the upper hand. They are more rutless, more fearsome, and more powerful than one can ever truly prepare for.
@@stevesmith9617 From all I know of The Eldest Tzimisce, trying to confine its existence to such human notions as gender is a fool's errand. Their transcendence covers both body and soul, until anything resembling human is long forgotten. The Eldest is. That is all we need to know.
