It would be pretty damn hard not to with how aggressively the scene was shot to continuously emphasize the scepter, and the characters mostly realizing it when Banner grabs the thing at the end of the arguments.
Yup. Fairly obvious. Plus, Loki’s staff (in the film) didn’t house the Mind Stone, rather it was the Space Stone, which was originally in the tesseract. IF we’re going by the color to indicate which stone had whatever power, then the stone in Loki’s staff should have been yellow.
Loki's scepter was secretly making them all argue. Also, later on Agent Coulson was secretly killed. If you watch carefully you can just barely see Loki's scepter burst violently through Coulson's chest. Very subtle.
That reminds me of the subtle scene in Alien when the chestburster explodes out of Kane’s body. I was still a little confused on if he was the host, but upon rewatch, all the clues are there.
When the DIRECTOR says something is a goof, there's no longer a question of it being a hidden detail. The earplugs don't add a new dimension or a detail to the scene - mainly because odds are both of the other actors in the scene are also wearing ear protection, it just happens to be hidden by their hair.
My wife had never seen Fight Club, we watched it recently and seeing it with someone who never has is almost as magical as the movie, watching their expressions as they slowly figure it all out!
I may have actually missed it in theaters the first time I went because 1, I was a kid, 2, the show started at midnight which was well after my bedtime, and 3, there was a very drunk guy a few rows behind me that kept throwing up on the floor (and talking). I very distinctly remember "You can't kill me, I know, I've- [gagging] [wet splatter]" in the same scene lol. I'm pretty sure I turned around to look at the drunk guy at that part and missed the zoom in on the scepter. I definitely noticed the second time around though lol. I think I watched it in theaters at least five times
I never actually looked close enough to see it was visible in John Wick, but I always just assumed he was picking a dog that was going to be put down, since he was looking at their info. It made sense and since his previous dog was a gift from his dead wife that symbolically saved him, it was fitting for him to be picking a dog to save. The rest of these were extremely obvious plot points from the movies, that no one who saw any of them missed, except the Knight's Tale one, which was just a silly gag. And probably was noticed by anyone who saw it, I didn't watch that crap so it's the first I'm seeing it, but the scene shown looked pretty obvious.
Yeah, that clock that you only see for a split second in BTTF 3... And then for a whole prolonged scene, when Marty and Doc TAKE THEIR PICTURE WITH IT. Really stretching, guys.
The scepter scene... Is the scepter scene. It wasnt hidden. It was the whole point of the scene. Then you said they didnt know it altered the mind... You mean how it warped Selvig and Barton's mind? TF are they smoking at What Culture?
Regarding the "distracting girlfriend" trick in Casino Royale, did you miss that the first one to use the trick in the movie was actually Le Chiffre, in his very first scene.
These are ALL obvious and I think intentionally front facing. You explication of the Loki scepter scene just affirms that this was not at all hidden. The fight club one too. These are PLOT POINTS.
Agreed. Looking at the comments it seems the 2 that were missed by most people were the ear plugs (which wasn't intentional anyway) and the dog being due to be put down. I also missed the CHUD reference but that might just be me. I assume this was a rush job that was pooped out in a rush with a "just say anything to make it long enough" attitude.
I only missed that of the Dog in John Wick's ending. Never payed attention to the lable on the cage. Just thought it was a pound and John simply 'adopted' the dog😂
I'm the opposite. I was so angry that the puppy was killed in the beginning that I focused in on the dog he was going for and read that tag immediately. It was my only "Awww..." moment in that film.
All three actors were wearing ear plugs, because they were firing a weapon in a (semi)closed space. The noise from blanks is almost as bad as the real thing. So it'd make sense to protect the actors hearing.
It depends on the blank. Theatrical blanks and wax loads for revolvers have the advantage that they can be tailored for the desired amount of noise, flash and smoke.
0:57 No one, and I mean NO ONE, who saw all three BTF movies in order missed the clock unloading. 2:51 Marla is also a personality of the Narrator, so this scene is inconsequential.
Mia Wallace has a cursed touch: Pulp Fiction. We learn, before Vincent goes on a date with Mia, that a man named Antoine "Rocky Horror" may have given her a foot massage that got him thrown out of a window by Mia's husband, Marcellus. Mia clarifies that Antoine didn't rub her feet and that the only thing of hers he touched was her hand when he shook it on her wedding day. Even though Antione did nothing but shake her hand, he still got thrown out of a window. On Mia's date with Vincent, the pair don't touch even when they're dancing. It's only when they get back to Mia's place that they embrace and enter the home with a tango stride. Immediately after that, Mia overdoses. What follows is a tense sequence in which we bring Mia back to life and when Vincent drops her off he gets her to agree never to tell Marcellus what happened. Vincent says: "Shake on that?" And just like with Antoine, they shake hands. They next time we see Vincent, he gets shot to death in a bathroom. Antonine shakes her hands, get thrown out a window. Vincent touches MIa for a dance move, Mia overdoses. Vincent shakes her hand in an agreement, gets shot to death. Mia Wallace has a cursed touch.
@@mattwilkinson5858 It's interesting to me that Vincent speaks with himself in the mirror about loyalty while deciding whether or not to stay or go. He makes the right, good, loyal choice when he comes out of the bathroom, fights his urges, respects his boss and just wants to go home instead of doing something with Mia. In any other film, that would be rewarded. But Instead he gets punished with her overdose. A cursed touch explains this. Besides, this movie can be so damn literal sometimes. Jules says that Marcellus Wallace don't like to be f*cked by anybody except Ms. Wallace. And that's true. We actually see Marcellus get f*cked by someone who isn't Mia Wallace, and he really doesn't like it.
I'm sure every thing on this list has already been talked about on other listed in the last 3 months. Also the only one that I "missed" is in knights tale as I haven't seen the film
The whole point of the sceptre scene is that it’s what causes the argument…just like the construction of the clock tower is a very specific plot point in BTTF3 Stretching here, guys!
I'm pretty sure that the Pulp Fiction scenes aren't perfectly timed with each other. For one, they weren't shot simultaneously with each other from different angles in one take. For two, we should really think of it as two different scenes taking place at the same location, that end up becoming the final scene. When the robbery begins, Honey Bunny's dialogue changes. That indicates the two scenes are now the final scene and signifies a change from secondary character Ringo's perspective to main character Jules' perspective. Tarantino intentionally changed the line for that purpose, because two people are witnessing the same event but experiencing it differently; in this case it includes the audience. That means it doesn't matter if the scenes are in sync, we're experiencing through the eyes of two different characters who weren't paying attention to what the other person was doing.
That pit bull John Wick saves in the second movie is the dog that comes up to him at the end of the first movie. He is rescuing his own new dog, after his puppy was killed.
Guess if you are some millennial or gen z stuck in their phone, these are hard to miss; but for anyone who actually watches the movie, these are all obvious.
If you were really paying attention to Fight Club, you'd realize that Marla, the house, Tyler, the club, the ending, the ter'ism, everything wasn't real. It was a fiction in a world of fiction.
Yeah, the earplugs thing is stupid. Any time there is blank fire on set, all talent and crew are given earplugs for protection. Crew generally wear cheap consumer plugs while talent have more specialized plugs that are smaller and usually don’t show on camera. Since 4K Blu-ray releases, everything has had to get better, makeup, set design, etc. So freeze frame and zooming in, you’ll see all kinds of details about how the sausage is made.
