Great to see Nova Roma making it to retail. I got a copy in the crowdfunding campaign and have enjoyed playing it. A nice action selection system for sure and that initially attracted me. Also worth mentioning is the superb graphic design, especially the action summary boxes on the board - they make it one of the easiest games to teach (and learn). Rulebook is good, with just 2-3 clarifications missing, but otherwise very easy to follow.

I had a quick look at a solo video for the game and it seems a decent adaption. How is the interaction? The progression on the different 'mini game' tracks / sections doesn't appear as if it will feel much different to multiplayer. The area that I think will feel different, is the action selection, as the choice by players do sometimes elicit cries of "Nooooo!", which I consider a good thing. An interesting twist for solo is the AI claiming what you don't claim on the mosaic board - that's a nice twist.

@@GrantLyon I used dry erase pockets for paper and markers. They have really good 8x11 ones with solid back for grade school kids. Work well for X and Writes. But, if they get cute, I will pass.
