I have seen where some people setup (I presume) something like a Timer/Module on StreamElements, to give people a heads up earlier that a pokecatch is coming and to get their pokeballs ready in chat.
Of course it's custom to do but there's a way to link it so it says what pokemon is coming up. Do you know how to set this up? I keep trying to find a template of the code (cause I'm still full newb with that) but I've yet to find anything.

Hey Brandon! i'm currently having trouble adding a sound alert to when the wild pokemon spawns into chat, is there any advice or a video you would recommend me watch to help me set this up? currently lost on trying to figure this out as i've attempted a few ways with no success unfortunately
This is creative and I love it. Here's what I'm thinking, and it's just entirely off the top of my head... using a program like TriggerFyre or LioranBoard, you should be able to set up a trigger that recognizes when a certain phrase is said in chat. This would allow you to have the message from PCG trigger a sound through one of those programs.
However, I believe this also opens you up to potentially being baited or spammed by your chat if you aren't careful about the permissions. If the program you use allows you to select "only mods" or "only VIPs" can trigger, or even a whitelist of specific users, then you can avoid that.
At the moment, this would be a "use third-party features" thing, but also a potentially cool thing to suggest in the discord too! Let me know if this helps :)

I did everything but never got the invite to the discord option to whitelist my channel
So how if you are a streamer how do you add the graphic of the pokemon and the countdown timer till next pokemon. its obviously a source you add to your streaming software but is it a browser web source? i went on the discord and theres so many posts the info must be buried
The timer is in the discord somewhere... I'm not 100% sure where it is. If you go into one of the help channels and ask, I'm sure someone will be happy to direct you.
The timer countdown is a program, the picture of the current pokemon is a browser source, and the rest of it is just personal design choice.

Hi! Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you! I would recommend, if it hasn't been sorted out yet, to visit the PCG discord server and ask for help in their support channel. They will be best suited to help you there.

NIghtbot keeps banning PCG on my friends twitch. any ideas why?
I have no clue why that would be, unless their nightbot settings are set up in a way that blocks something that PCG is trying to do? The best solution to that is, as I mentioned in the tutorial, to mod or VIP the bot so nightbot will ignore it.
How do you enable the pokemon to spawn in the chat?
Yeah so that's a great question. That's where the section about getting whitelisted applies. If you want the pokemon to spawn in your chat, you'll need to join the discord and follow the instructions when you arrive. I do go through the full process during this tutorial so if you need a refresher, watch it again.
Keep in mind that they don't spawn constantly. The same pokemon spawn universally across every live whitelisted twitch stream every 15 minutes. This happens automatically and there is no way to force a spawn when you *want* one.
Does the panels automatically get launched into the stream I don't understand I've been whitelisted got my starter an everything but I want rhe whole thing where you get to see everything an how to play on my channel
the first part of the video, where you talk about going into your extensions list, installing the extension, and adding it as a panel is how you add the panel to your channel. After you're whitelisted, pokemon will spawn automatically in your chat *when you are live* every 15 minutes. If you have a starter and you've authorized the extension with your twitch account, you should be ready to go.
So I have to add the instructions myself so people know how to play or do they get automatically installed with the panel that was the original question. Sorry lol
@@TooSynical are you talking about the extra panel with the available commands? As I said in the video, that's an extra thing I added. You might be able to find a version of it in the discord. The bot tells people how to catch when a pokemon spawns and if they can't because they haven't started, it tells them that too. The panel with the commands is just there for reference and I added it manually.

Okay so if I'm correct, you're looking for the time that some of us use that also shows which pokemon has spawned at any given moment, yes? This can be found in the Discord. I'm not 100% sure where they keep that now but someone should be able to direct you. The mods for their server are fantastic.

I Followed all the points that both the video and the info from the discord on what to do and its not working.
In order to help, I need a bit more information. Is the bot not sending messages to your twitch chat? Or are you experiencing issues with the extension?

Ooooo this is a good question that I hadn't thought of before. I believe, at this point, the answer is no. The bot is specifically built to run in Twitch chats, as far as I know. However, this *might* be a question for their discord support crew. There may be something I don't know!
can you use potions in battle
I'm gonna be honest, the battle system has improved drastically since I made this tutorial but I've never been much of a battler in pokemon and that has persisted into the PCG. I'm unfortunately not the person to ask for this, but I'm positive that someone in the PCG Discord Server will be able to answer your question :)

That probably means you already use the bot in other people's channels. There should still bea discord link somewhere in the extension.

That's because it has nothing to do with the bot. I used an alternate account to show you how to set up the bot on your own account.

Did you watch the video? I did show how to set up the bot. I gave you every step you need in order to go from “What is this bot?” To “Hey chat, I set up this bot"
There's no customization to settings, if that's what you want. The bot is run by the developers and you are simply hosting it. The extension allows you to directly interact with it.

Hi! I'm not sure exactly why !pokestart wouldn't work, unless the bot hasn't whitelisted your channel yet. Follow the steps in the video to do that. If you have already and the problem persists, I recommend visiting the support channel in the PCG Discord server. You should already be in if you whitelisted your channel. Thanks!

I mentioned it in the video. You collect money automatically by chatting in channels that have the bot.
