What do you think of all the Amazon trucks? Good chance for people to make money making deliveries? But Amazon such a monolith now, displacing other business, so...Discussion welcome.

Are we being chaperoned to shop at specific establishment ? How many small stores are closing forever these days ? Is it really our convenience to order because the delivery is free ? What are the long term consequences ?

We can imagine Amazon's revenue becoming a monster engulfing small businesses when it gets out of balance.

So just happened to be in spot where tons and tons of vans went by... Found out it was all Amazon vans leaving warehouse for day... All it really is is a contemporary account of today's world as is..creating content on the spot, recording Canada as is.. Relevant for many delivery drivers and of some interest as many receive Amazon packages.. Cause for reflection as is this the world we want a move away from stores? At least positive for people to make money with deliveries but what about monolith of Amazon place to discuss .. No extra special message in actual video other than laying it out .. Thanks for inquiring

@@TributetoCanada The push for amazon getting bigger and people ordering online more is not great. I honestly find it frustrating using amazon, I have to filter through all the cheap "ali express" shit that is found before i can find an acceptable product. I typically still go to stores, as i dont have to waste hours figuring out of the "stainless steel" product i bought is nothing more then painted plastic with a plastic wrap to give it that "METAL LOOK"
Thats just one of the issues with trash from amazon.
Most name brands, or quality products are off that site completely.

This is not what I'm used to. Here the Amazon deliveries are in any vehicle, but they usually have some type of logo either wrapped or magnets. The drivers normally wear something Amazon n have a credential like a visitor pass necklace.
They still aren't vetted or carefully checked, but that's another topic.

Haven't seen a DHL in years, ups is brown box vans n road tractors w trailers.
Fed ex is normally marked but I've seen them use rental vans. Sometimes their temp drivers are really sketchy., But otherwise their service is solid.

Extremely interesting!! here the Amazon drivers mostly have rentals..keen comparison here...what does it mean? why deliveries more make-shift here?

Freedom to make money but I can see a few downsides too (in today's world), definitely!! but overall at least a chance for people to just go forth and make money without too much rigomorole?

@@TributetoCanada I like anyone out making money, as long as they aren't abusing or scamming people in the process. With how your people are being treated, I'm glad y'all have this opportunity up there.
I'm not sure about the rental difference. Might be just an end point delivery driver thing vs a shipment driver.
I can definitely see advantages to renting equipment. You build the cost in a upkeep is someone else problem.
The trucks only make money when they are rolling so the less time n money spent on maintenance the more profit. (That's why log trucks here are constantly being targeted by Dot enforcement) conversely if a trucker is in an crash their maintenance will always be a topic during the law suit. So renting alleviates that liability.
You don't get to be as big as Amazon by wasting money you can save
