- LISTEN i've been a stancy girl since day 1 okay?? i had accepted my fate i thought it was over i thought i lost! Istg if the duffer brothers bring stancy back from the ashes only for them to not be endgame i'mma gonna throw some hands.

I start from the fact that I don't like Jancy because I've never liked Jonathan, I've always felt him to be too bland a character (especially in this last season, in which he only went on stage to smoke cannabis and consider whether or not to continue with Nancy).
I was also never a big fan of Nancy with Steve, because Steve in season 1 is cocky and arrogant; but he always apologized and stopped being friends with Carol and Tommy.
-He erased Nancy's graffiti, done by her friends.
-He went to Jonathan's house to apologize. He said it clearly: "I'm not here to fight, I want to apologize." (the scene before the demogorgon and the spiked baseball bat).
-She gave Jonathan a better quality camera (last episode of s1, Christmas)
- In s2, when Steve leaves Nancy after she said at the party that everything was a lie and bullshit, he went to her house to apologize with a bouquet of roses (at which point he leaves with Dustin to hunt for the demodog)
-At the end of s2, when he is left alone in the car when Dustin has already gotten out, he looks at Nancy accepting that she has chosen Jonathan, and leaves.
Nancy and Steve I think they may be the famous "right person, wrong time"
yes!! both Nancy and Steve have grown so much since their break up I think the writers should give them a real chance at being a couple!

I know Jonathan is losing many points in Season 4 for being away and keeping the truth from Nancy.. BUT I'm personally very proud that his first priority is finding his little stepsister.

Why was it more important to him finding his stepsister than being with his girlfriend while she was in danger by fighting against vecna and saving the world with the others? She could have died and he even didn't contact her at all. Didn't ask her if she was okay during that time.... nothing...like he didn't even care.

He did care, he was just more concerned about Eleven for he knew she was in deep trouble from the government. Both situations were dangerous, and Jonathan simply chose to focus on his stepsister first.

I didn't complain Jancy in ss 2,3 even they made me feel boring all the time when they were together, but I was ok with that and just skipped their scenes. I didn't care this love triangle cuz I love Steve with the kids. But ss4 is totally different, Stancy chemistry is on fire that changes my POV totally. I rewatch 4 seasons to recognize that Jancy relationship was already broken since ss3. Lol. They united by trauma but when they faced the real life, they have no common and argued all the time.
I think Jonathan loves Nancy in his way, and he cares for her romantically but it's nothing like Steve's feelings - how Steve has ALWAYS felt for her. It screams of that rhetoric that's like 'when a guy is truly in love he will never completely move on - a piece of his heart will always belong to her'. I know this is a matter of interpretation, but it's very easy to imagine Jonathan moving on from Nancy tbqh. He has other things in his life that take priority, plus he's already thinking of breaking up with her in s4 - but it's already been proven that Steve's love for Nancy has never really 100% dissipated, even all these years later.
Well said!! Thank you! I also think that Jonathan would be more than fine being Single, since he's thinking about breaking up with her anyway. He is more like an introvert lone wolf for me. If Nancy and him didn't have the "shared trauma" thing they wouldn't have started dating in the first place. The way they became a couple was by accident, because of tragic circumstances.
Steve as a character is the exact opposite of a loner like Jonathan. He is very extroverted. He NEEDS company to be happy. On top of that he is a hopeless romantic. After his break up with Nancy, he tried so hard to find a new girlfriend. Like in a very desperate way actually. The show is telling you this whole time after the break up, that he is kinda lost in terms of dating. He couldn't find his soulmate, because NANCY is meant to be his soulmate.

I would love for both of them to get back together! But I also love Jonathan I think he would have no role really and would be left out if he wasn’t dating Nancy. Either way I am fine. I do hope Steve finds someone because he seems such an awesome person! He literally is so sweet and funny and everything you can think of. But Jonathan has shared trauma with Nancy. I will say, I do like Steve and Nancy a bit more but I will feel so bad for Jonathan if Nancy dumps him. I think the best thing would be, for Jonathan to decide to go follow his dreams and break up with Nancy, then Nancy and Steve start dating again. I also saw another comment say that Steve is the “right place, wrong time” and I agree 100%!!!!

I always was a Stancy Fan, too!! Since day 1!! Since they were secretely snogging in the bathroom. Or how they had that meeting in Nancys room to "study".... 😆
What i loved about their relationship was the passion and freedom they broadcasted, when they were together at the beginning. They were typical teenagers, who just wanted to have fun and a good time together. Especially Steve couldn't get his hands off of her, because of how crazy in love he was. 😆 This kind of passion and energy i always missed about Jancy. They always seemed to me like a settled down and boring pair, almost like an old married couple without having fun. Just one of the many reasons why i want Stancy back! I miss their relationship. Fingers crossed for them being endgame! ❤
