I always enjoy watching this video because of the antics of Reona throughout the performance, especially at the end with the climbing around the keyboard. She is definitely the crazy in a band of crazies. I also always enjoy seeing Hana on drums. Broken Lover is one of their earliest songs, released way back in 2010. I believe there is a music video from around that time showing a very early incarnation of the band (there have been several since then) performing Broken Lover. The vocalist in that early video was Ashitomi Takae (stage name Armmy) along with Koga (bass), Hana (drums) and Tomo-zo (guitar). Armmy would leave the band in early 2012 for health reasons and would tragically pass away in 2015. Reona joined as the keyboardist/vocalist in 2012 shortly after Armmy left the band, and the "core four" of Koga, Hana, Tomo-zo and Reona have been together ever since. One of the incarnations of the band is where they included the two dancers as in this video. I have to admit that I am not a fan of the dancers. In my opinion, the best version of Gacharic Spin is the current with the core four plus Yuri on drums (Hana now primarily on guitar) and Angie as the new vocalist (who is also is a better dancer than the two in this video). I would love to see Broken Lover performed by the current band.
Gacharic Spin will be releasing a new album in July, and they have very recently released a music video for the song Kachi-kachi Yama from the upcoming album. I enjoyed the song the first time I heard it but my appreciation grows after each listen. Both the song and video highlight Angie, who joined the band when she was 17 and is now just 21. She is as charismatic as any singer I have ever seen and may become the breakout superstar of the group. With Angie and the core four, I sometimes feel sorry for Yuri who just seems so normal. Put the new song on your list - ua-cam.com/video/r6a1v8q5AZ4/v-deo.html

      Thank you, Dan!
Yes, I (recall) most of this information regarding the lineup changes from earlier reactions we did for their songs (Mindset and Hunting Summer). I have put the three in a Playlist, linked in the pinned comment. We are planning on doing Kachi-Kachi Yama next both due to it being requested via Buy Me A Coffee AND to enter their GachaReact competition. Should be fun! 😁
As always, thank you so much for the support! MUCH appreciated! 🙏

You can tell this is the show closer because they are all wearing GACHARIC SPIN tour t-shirts which they put on in the dressing room before returning for the encore. OREO LEONA’s stage craft includes dancing on top of her keyboard. She even made an amusing video in which she demonstrates her moves for SEKIRA LIAR. But first, watch the OMV here:
    SEKIRA RAIA (赤裸ライア/ Naked Liar, OMV, 2015) - ua-cam.com/video/DSx9z8ZdDM0/v-deo.html

      Hi Greg!
The title "Naked Liar", plus what you described above, has made me include it in the request list. It might be best to watch it for the first time on camera! Lol.
As for the T-Shirts worn for the encore, yes, it is a well known and VERY effective marketing ploy which helps sell merch at shows. I have to admit, had I been to that show and contemplated buying a shirt, this would have put me over the top and I may have bought two! 😁
Thank you kindly for viewing and engaging. MUCH appreciated! 🙏

Been fortunate enough to seem them live in Japan on numerous occasions, this particular song the audience goes nuts, during the chorus they all run towards the stage and jump into the people in front of them. I dare say their live shows in person are like a religious experience

Broken Lobba, Broken Lobba!!! Always makes me smile and it's exhausting to just watch them ... My favourite band by a mile :)
Btw, they have a competition for reactors going on for their new single (out 3 days now) Kachi-kachi Yama. Maybe you give it a try :)
headsup for newer stuff of GS: Dancers are gone, drummer plays now guitar, new drummer and new vocalist. Just so you don't have to start from scratch ;)
    Cheers

I have noticed that a lot of Japanese bands tend to wear their merch for their encores. So they stop, let the audience shout for an encore and quickly change into their shirts and after that start 1 or a couple of encore songs. I think it's a way to show the people that there are shirts to buy after the show, I actually think it's smart.
The crazy thing about their performances is that there is so much to look at that I can still find cool things even after having watched it a couple of times. There are a least a couple of them that are moving or doing something crazy at any given moment.

    • @myindieprodentertainment
      @myindieprodentertainment  Рік тому

Yes! A very clever marketing ploy. It would likely have made me (Itai) buy a shirt! 🙂
And yes, they are crazy and amazing. What you are referring to is what prompted me to describe them as "a band on ADHD". So much going on and all of it is so, so good! 😁
Thank you kindly for viewing and engaging again, Maarten. MUCH appreciated! 🙏

Nice reaction guys! Oreo is known to climb on her keyboards. It seems you guys haven't checked out their side project with the singer from Unlucky Morpheus, Fuki. That band is called Doll$Boxx. In both the live performance and music video for their song Loud Twin Stars, Oreo climbs on her keyboard and plays on another. Doll$Boxx consists of the musicians from Gacharic spin with Fuki on vocals. If you decide to check out Doll$Boxx, their song Take My Chance is a great start 🤘😊🤘

Both Tomo-zo (guitar) and Koga (bass) do synchronised instrument throws regularly at shows as well as Oreo occasionally with her keytar. Koga brought it from her previous band Pink Panda and although plenty of western 80s bands did it first with guitars, Gachapin borrowed the synchronised aspect from the band Show-Ya ('81-'98 & '05-present) who were one of the first all female Japanese hard rock/metal bands, the godmothers of the scene if you were. GS play at their all female musician Naon no Yaon festival most years (you've watched Nemophila perform Oiran at it the year they had to play without a crowd, due to the pandemic) and have collaborated previously with Show-Ya's singer Keiko Terada, who has an almost familial relationship with them, acting like a mentor/proud auntie.

Gacharic Spin, proving how much far behind western girl groups are for entertainment. No ridiculous stage props, light shows, video wizardry required to make a fantastically entertaining show. No lame flesh fest on stage to make up for mediocrity of performance or lack of talent. All played and sung live. Why would anyone pay ridiculous money to watch Taylor Swift, when the GS ladies are available?
