I saw Dylan there, Government Mule, Garbage, Roomful of blues, Jimmie Vaughn and a few I cannot remember now. This was the 80's and 90's at both venues. lots of good memories of the DC Scene.
I started seeing shows at 9:30 about 2 years before they moved...which I think was around '95?? Got to see the last show at the old 9:30: Slickee Boys & Marginal Man!
@ one of the last shows I went to there was big black - at that time, Touch n Go records was turning more into like a Killdozer record label as opposed to the early 80s negative approach hard-core- I was in a band called Grievance Committee and we played Oi punk

One of my favorite sounds on stage for a monitor and they always took care of the bands with great food too..love this venue
The one time I went to DC, visited the old 930 club and saw The Lyres...that was back in the 80s
I think Rancid was the last band to play old 9:30.
Very good-looking women that know all the Dinosaur Jr. lyrics ❤
I moved right dc in 95 and had a few years of old 930. Two shows that stand out were cop shoot cop and boredoms
I played that club in 95!

Old 930 is the best
Btw...what happened with Henry's 'project' down in Nashville?
Watching Butthole Surfers and naked mud wrestling strippers on acid should be a required class
yappppp
Buzzcocks at least once in the old one
Why don’t you talk about what it was like to play the Greystone in Detroit and how and why Scary Cary spent 30 years in prison
because he’s a thief.
I went to many of great shows at the Greystone.

And he’s a member of the tribe.
So what?

Clutch at the 930 is always amazing

Clutch were one of the best band of the 90’s. Still doing good work, but the first 3 were next level shit
