This judge has more integrity than most of America. May God continue to bless and keep him!!❤
100%!
I could not agree more. He would make a fine President, although I think he has too much honour & integrity to be a politician
Oh no, he's goofed in the past. 9 month suspension without pay in 2017. Interference with an Intern's DUI arrest. He's human, and he can play politics, I'm sure.
@@FtungusAmungusgetting ready to say something along those lines. That is why he follows everything to the letter because his butt was in hot water at one time. love how he holds his court room in good standings because of that
You got stats about that, boomer? Couldn’t he be a good judge without denigrating a whole country?
This defendant desperately wishes he had hired Cousin Vinny for his lawyer!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
At this point this guy would be better off going Pro Se. This lawyer is awful!! However, you get what you pay for, so I’m assuming he didn’t want a court appointed attorney (which would have been much better) so he hired this guy at Discount Lawyers - and he is kicking himself now.
He needs to call Darrell Brooks as a pro se help. I hear he has many years to give counsel!
I'm REALLY curious as to WHAT the defendant was charged with that would make the Lawyer go to this extreme
@kentfuqua9634 I can just hear him now shouting "grounds" 😂
Did the lawyer actually say that it's grievable for the prosecutor to prosecute someone who may in fact be innocent? Isn't that basically everyone? Innocent until proven guilty? That makes no sense to me, but I may have misunderstood.
Exactly what I was just thinking. That's literally every case.
You understood that he didn't use logic. I have a feeling he will be investigated by their Bar Society.🤔
It's in the case that the prosecutor, based on available facts believes the person is innocent, and maliciously prosecutes.
Prosecutors are not allowed to just ignore significant exculpatory evidence and continue with a prosecution. If there is solid evidence proving someone is innocent and the prosecutor moves forward with the case anyway, that would be malicious prosecution and a huge ethical violation by the prosecutor. It seems like the defense attorney is claiming that is what is happening and that he will report the prosecutor if she doesn't drop the case, but he has no real evidence to back up his claim so Judge Simpson is viewing it as the defense attorney attempting to intimidate the prosecutor into dropping the case, which is a huge ethical violation on the part of the defense attorney.
I think that's exactly what he said & the problem with what he said. That's why we have trials!
“I’m not asking for your concern…you have made an accusation.” Wow.
He threatened the prosecutor with a threat to her career and she called his bluff.
Yeah she did.
Good for her!
I think he thought he could bully her and get away with it and was surprised when she told the judge what he said.
Mr Allen was like, "Can I arrest him now"
😂😂😂😂
He was watching him like a bloodhound, the counsellor was really lucky again....
If I were the defendant, I’d hire a new lawyer or ask for one. Given this one’s behavior, I’m sure the court would understand.
Agreed!! I wouldn't want him as my attorney. We cant have a hearing beacuse we dont have the facts? and he may be innocent? UM, isnt that what going to court is supposed to do? I think this lawyer got his license out of a cracker jack box. I wouldn't want him as my attorney.
at this point, I think the lawyer may need to refer him to a new one.
If he self reports, that might not be an issue.
@@roberthunter479 if he doesn't self report, you can bet the judge will.
The defendant just sits there like a deer in the headlights. He is obviously clueless and doesn't have the sense to realize that he is screwed.
Watching Judge Simpson's courtroom is always enjoyable, because he is humane yet firm.
“I didn’t threaten the bank at all! I just started waving my gun around wildly and the tellers just started handing over money to me willingly!”
-defense attorney Derp
Wait, so if you hand them a note that says "I need money please. Have a nice day", and they give it to you, is that technically robbery?
@@KNByam Nope, that part is just deaf/mute communication. They write back a note that says "How much do you want and what is your account number?"

Judge Simpson is done with this guys line of BS
That was what my grandma called a “come to Jesus meeting” 😂
oh yeah it was!
Amen to that! I didn’t say what I said? Is that what he said?
This is a shady lawyer representing a shady client.
Bingo!
I've never seen him upset like this. He tested the wrong judge. He is a man of integrity. That's my man. ❤
Yep. I've seen Judge Simpson get loud and blister. I've seen him where you can practically see steam coming out of his collar. I've seen him take a recess to calm down. I've seen him reschedule things, stating that he didn't feel he could be fair at that moment.
This? This was like the calm before the storm. When the air goes still, the sky goes dark, and even the birds are silent. It was almost scary. And as he got more pissed, he got quieter.
That attorney has done ethically inappropriate things in front of this judge before. Once maybe a lapse in judgment, twice confirms he has no respect for the law and has no business in its practice.
Do you have links to any other videos with this attny? I’m curious now about his past conduct!
@@meesh6257 Go back to when the attorney introduces himself at the beginning of the video. The prior incident is mentioned, the video thumbnail is shown, and OSG mentions there's a link to it in the description of this video.
It appears that not only was it the same attorney in question, but it seems to involve the same case, if I'm hearing this correctly?
If so, he's *extra* stupid to think he could casually lob threats across the table and the prosecutor (same one in the other vid, so she's already acquainted with his shenanigans) wouldn't say anything about it to the judge.
I would normally suggest disbarment is too harsh, but this guy clearly conducts himself inappropriately on a consistent basis, at least in this venue. It seems pretty clear that he is either letting his emotional state pull him around by the nose, or he's got some deeply rooted ethical/moral issues he needs to address.
If he already has a disciplinary history, this kind of BS should get him disbarred. If he doesn't, then he needs a good, stiff suspension, needs to take some remedial courses, and maybe some anger management/therapy before he returns to practice.
*Once may be a lapse
Definitely a dirty human
Exactly what did he do wrong? Also, how is Simpson's actions any different?
Holy Smokes I have never seen Judge Simpson so MAD! 🤬🤬
She’s a public prosecutor who he has worked with on many cases where she performed very well in her role. It’s essentially going after a coworker that you work very closely with. This guy messed up big time
Go find the video of these parties before this one. The defendant's attorney insulted Judge Simpson...he was very mad, but composed.
@kimberlyreese1827 oh I seen that one, but he seemed even more pissed this time.
@@mlebrecht6269 It's one thing to just be a tool in court, it's quite another to behave unethically to attempt to win a case.
@ngcolby totally agree the attorney was in the wrong.
Damn. I've seen Judge Simpson angry plenty of times at various types of misconduct in his court, but this is something else. You could tell how much he was holding back. Absolute rage. That attorney might want to look into a new line of work or possible retirement.
yeah..THIS one was spellbinding TD!
Just take away that defense attorney's license. He's proven multiple times, now, that he doesn't deserve it.
so he didn't like the prosecutor moving forward on a case and so he decided the best idea to stop her is to threaten to report her to her boss. That is completely unacceptable and an insult to the court. If she did something legally incorrect or questionable that would be different, but in this case he just wanted to stop her from proceeding.
nice to see you in another comment section lol
it is honestly worse than just reporting her to her boss
he was talking about filing a grievance on her and her boss which is something that could result in them losing their ability to practice law in Michigan.
If it was provable. He can file a grievance, but if he accuses the prosecutor of withholding exculpatory material, knowingly eliciting false testimony, altering or manipulating evidence to present a different result than what the evidence actually presents. Just him pissy because she won’t dismiss by his say so. He can challenge the veracity of evidence, challenge the calling of a witness that he believes isn’t actually a witness, challenge the procedures or protocols on a forensic test/report etc. Just not wanting a witness because they could be detrimental to his case- no. He could challenge the bona fides of an expert witness if he believed that expert isn’t qualified to testify.
@@FollowingfromafarBooth-jz4jq Let's appreciate the irony - that he threatens to grieve them for essentially malicious (or at least flippant) prosecution, and in doing so commits himself to getting them entrenched in exactly the same sort of flippant/malicious investigation and prosecution he accuses them of committing.
Not report her to her boss, report her to the bar association for disciplinary proceedings for violating ethical cannons
Yikes. *I* felt like I was in trouble just witnessing this. My stomach would have fallen entirely out of my body if I had to face the judge like that.
Same here!
Stomach, heart, bowels, everything... holy heck
Omg me to
If everyone has the same level of integrity than Cedric Simpson, what a great world kids could grow up in
If only.he I think is a very honorable man.
I like how this judge puts himself in time out when he gets worked up. He wants to make sure he isn’t acting out of emotion. Good judge!
yeah, i like to think he's got angry activities in his chambers. like papers he rips up or something.
This guy needs to be disbarred. How is he that old and this incompetent?
I think with everything, you have people that are good at their jobs......AND you have some that aren't so good. His age makes me a little worried in that he's probably bungled the cases of others.
Some people have 30 years of experience.
Others have 1 year, repeated 30 times.
Dementia?
@@pro2964thug mindset. That threat must have worked in the past.
Don't be a water boy. Clear your mind.
- What the def att is mentioning _is_ a huge issue in any adverse legal system.
For the longest time prosecutors _have been bringing_ forward cases with charges they
a) don't care if they're true or not
b) worse, they know they are false
Judge Simpson is the type of man and jurist upon which communities rely, are lead, and could be founded, upon.
Young Ben Franklin 😅
I watched this live.....thinking that this defendant is regretting he hired this guy. He has been a huge dumba$$ from the start of his case.
what an amazing set of videos to watch..all three hearings were sheit shows!
Same, thought the bailiff was coming for the defense counsel for a minute
Mr. Allen doesn't mess around.
Does the defendant now have grounds for appeal for inefficient council?
I've watched Judge Simpson for a while and when this prosecutor has a case in front of him, she does a great job presenting her cases. She never tried to pull any shady moves to win her case. Ture she knows the judge Simpson would blast her if she did. To strong-arm her into NOT doing her job he should be disbarred.
I am in awe of this judge. He was PERFECT! Expressed his anger clearly, checked the facts first, absolutely nailed the errant lawyer to the chapel door, while still allowing the attorney to correct his error. Hopefully the stipulation will not harm his client too much.
Judge Simpson is everything a judge should be.
Judge S wouldn't harm his client because of his lawyer.
He even takes a break if he is upset by a lawyers behavior or person so he doesn't possibly take it out on the next case.
Simpson is rightfully pissed
He argued that it is grievable to prosecute someone who may be innocent. That's like saying no one should be prosecuted who might be innocent. I think that would bring all prosecutions to an end.
The defendant needs a new lawyer, this one’s a fool.
Dude blew his probation off
The only reason the attorney feels any "obligation" to report him himself is because he felt it would be better coming from him than from Judge Simpson. He's not doing it because he hasn't any integrity, he is doing it because it'll be less of a shit show.
He is despicable and knew what he's doing from the beginning
He done f'd up.
If ever there was a time for a defendant to fire their lawyer, now would be that time...
That defense lawyer should be disbarred
I was a chief prosecutor. About one lawyer in 100 would play this card. We would give them the blank form.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I bet ya did…with a big ole smile on your face!
Being from Michigan, I am so proud to know there are judges like him in my State. He always seems to be fair, and does not allow either side to play games. He also has a zero tolerance for the games many defendants play.
Judge wasn’t the only one smelling the distinct odor of deception …

🤣🤣🤣
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him so pissed off, but rightfully so. Attorney had the chance to self report long ago at this point judge should’ve reported it for him.
He knew exactly what he was doing. He was attempting to use her inexperience to his advantage through intimidation, and threat. Wow, he's in trouble. He will definitely, at a minimum, lose his ability to Practice for some amount of time determined by the BAR court panel.
That's what judges do. "SHUT YOUR MOUTH OR I WILL PUT YOU IN JAIL I AM JUDGE GOD AND I AM ON MY PERIOD!"
Defense attorneys try this tactic often
Who has the nerve to accuse a prosecutor of the b/s he tried to use. This is for me 100% an attempt of forcing the arm of prosecutor with malice.
Desperation
The defense lawyer's stumbling 'n bumbling when called out is a fantastic demonstration of how one reacts when they've gotten their schmekel caught in the wringer.
Schmekel 😂😂😂
gosh our witness intimidation didn't work and the witness showed up
He done messed up big time. The only saving grace in this situation is that he set his client up for a perfect appeal.
Appeal attorney: "Yes your honor my client was previously represented by a total idiot who prejudiced both the prosecutor and judge in the trial against my client by making threats against their jobs. We feel that this should be sufficient grounds for an appeal."
big brain law tactic: hire a shitty lawyer to prejudice the courtroom against you so that you can appeal for mistrial later
😂🤣🤗
500 iq play
He’s back peddling now the judge caught on to him😂
He didn’t think she’d call him, boy oh boy did she call him.
This sick attorney for the defense needs to be sent back to law school and relearn everything and to respect the system.
No that was so incredibly stupid he should not practice law period!
It is grievable for the prosecutor to prosecute an individual who has diplomatic immunity, as one example.
Damn, how deep is this attorney gonna keep digging this hole he’s putting himself. Unbelievable 😮
So the judge gave him 18 hours to come up with a cogent argument after accusing him of partiality and literally warned him that he was incredibly angry and did not want that anger to affect his judgement. The defense decides to then file a grievance against the prosecution to manipulate the case. I'm only 3 minutes in; the balls on that guy.
Ouch! The judge is giving him a chance to fall on his sword before the axe comes down.
Ouch indeed! I found myself squirming although I'm not the person in the hot seat.
The judge spent 20 minutes grilling this lowlife attorney!
The table is set, oven is preheated,
Now we wait…
I've never seen the Honorable Judge Simpson swivel back and forth in his chair like that. The judge's body language implies someone's butt is in a lot of trouble. His controlled temper is fearsome.
I thought that was in front of Judge Stephanie Boyd. He looked like him, but are they in the same jurisdiction?
@@Nikalette100 Judge Boyd is in TX, Judge Simpson in MI
It was a false threat. Plain and simple. For some mind boggling reason, he didn't think it would be addressed by the court.
i would think so too BUT after how the two prior hearings ended i would have expected him to walk on eggshells so to speak.
@@OSGCourtWatch Oh yes, absolutely! He certainly made an impression in the previous hearings, which makes it all the more baffling that he made such a blatant false threat...then tried to almost gaslight the prosecutor in his "sorry she felt that way, but it wasn't how it was intended" nonsense. This judge (and many others you feature) have taken a dim view of gaslighting before.
It did just seem that he hoped his empty threat would have scared them, and when it didn't, he found himself unable to explain away what he had said in a way that Judge Simpson would accept (because it was the wrong thing to do). Almost like "explain to me why you took a cookie from the pack I told you not to touch in a way that I'll accept". Not possible.
Isn't this the same lawyer who told his client to not turn himself in and Judge Simpson tore him a new one?
No, that was a different lawyer.
I wonder if there's an update on that case!
OMG I watched this live earlier and thought that I recognized the defendant. My jaw dropped and now it's bouncing off the floor.
This lawyer needs to get a heavy sanction and probably disbarred.
Ow. I’m several hundred miles away from this, not in a courtroom of any kind, and not in any trouble. And I feel some severe puckering going on listening to the slow burn of Judge Simpson.
I only hope if (heaven forbid) I ever DO get into trouble, I face a judge who is as fair and beyond reproach as Judge Simpson.
Judge Simpson is the most level headed and professional judges out there, doing something to get on his bad side is just nuts
Jeez. I’ve never seen the defendant AND Mr. Allen put their heads down almost simultaneously. 🤦🏾♀️
When was this?
I hope the defendant immediately fired this guy and hired someone else. i’m disgusted.
This attorney is already in trouble with Simpson, but now he is digging his own grave. Don't make accusations to someone who can get you in more trouble than you are already in. Who is he to judge their ethical obligations, he s hould report that but quit making threats.
I always love Judge Simpson and his exceptionally fair, professional, no-nonsense candor. He's an example most in his profession should seek to emulate, and I adore watching him work.
Calm and fuming at the same time. WOW!
He’s got such control.
That defendant is going to be checking the internet for another lawyer.
I cannot wait for this up coming hearing! I sure hope you're able to cover it! Hopefully this attorney doesn't do anything else to piss off Judge Simpson!!! Thanks for the great videos! 💖🥰
You can see how much it pains him to have to do something like report this guy. Judge Simpson is a very good and honorable man. We need to protect him as a National treasure at all costs! 😍
The defendant's body language says, "My goose is cooked."
Holding his hands in front of him, protecting his jewels
“ I did not say what I said.” That’s a perfect lawyer sentence right there. And I’m a lawyer!
I'm thinking "Is this going to be the first time Judge Simpson calls for Mr. Allen over an ATTORNEY'S conduct???"
Oooh....I'm waiting for "Mr Allen" 😂
Who else thinks Judge Simpson has a punch bag in his chambers?
If he doesn’t he should.
The dropping of his clients head when his attorney said he will self report, says it all. That lawyer is so shady and is now back peddling.
That look, if there's a bust made of Judge Simpson, that should be the look sculptured.
👍
Oh damn.... that attorney really stepped in it and didnt realize until it was way too late. I dont see him practicing for much longer worst way to FAAFO

the defendant must be sitting there thinking "please just put me in jail and get me out of here!"
I love it! Judge Simpson is in total beast mode here, I love that he holds everyone accountable in his courtroom. Awesome judge!
Wow I have never in all the court hearings I have watched seen judge simpson that angry or even think about reporting a lawyer. Holly crap.
What a fair and knowledgeable man you are, Your Honor.

"Why?"
"They're argument is devastating to my case"

You know what.... I watch a lot of court precedings on youtube, and Judge Simpson should really be praised for his conduct behind the bench. He is a shining example of how a judge should act in service of justice. Bravo Judge Simpson! I'd love to meet him (not in court) in real life!
Maybe defendant needs to go lawyer shopping 😂
Even worse, he was reprimanded the last time he was in court the last time
The judge lookd so crestfallen at the end. You can see he was taken aback at first, then he got angry at the realization thi it wasn't this guy's first time making threats, then discuss crept in befor he took 10. A sad day in judge Simpson's courtroom.
But in the end, a good outcome.
I'm shocked, Shocked, that a lawyer would use intimidation tactics.
Love judge Simpson!!!
Another lying attorney. Wow, such a surprise.
Judge Simpson is amazing. Would that all courts would follow his example.
This bully threatens lawyers being a lawyer himself he needs to study his Oath he swore by to uphold ! Threatening, how is this not a clear case of Obstruction of justice???
Any way to get this judge onto the Supreme Court? ...an actual judge with integrity and knowledge of the law.
got my vote if it counted!
I would vote for judge Simpson. Judge Boyd, judge Washington and judge manning. So many of them.
“I didn’t say *I* was going the grieve counsel. I said what she was doing was grievable. I just wanted to make sure she knew. I was PROTECTING her.”
Sure, Jan.
If in fact the story has been changed, and there is a (perceived) conflict, that needs to be brought to the attention of the COURT and not the Bar.
If I were the defendant, I'd be finding a new atty pronto!
This attorney is a sleazy piece of work.
Bless you Judge. Bless you.
When someone without a law degree would’ve been better defending themself you know the lawyer is bad.
This is what happens when an attorney gets caught bullying, threatening another attorney in front of a seasoned fair Judge ! Then once called out for it talks his way deeper right into a corner by not admitting truth accepting responsibility and sincerely Apologizing to the Attorney, the Judge the court !
Judge Simpson is one of the fairest and honest Judges I have ever seen and I was a Drug Court Investigator for many years and for many judges and Judge Simpson should never be insulted.
agreed david!
I love how Judge Simpson is unpacking his B.S!!
Bet the defendant regrets not firing this schmuck after the first hearing.
