After you get the storage on your boat, with your backpack full, open that boat storage but hit auto transfer and the goods don't go in the boat storage, it goes home to your other storage! This means you can practically indefinitely keep on diving for sunken treasure. Tip 2. You can set up your own crab town on the green tip of the cove arm in Critter Cove Island. They will initially give crab apple after you give them a crab stick which saves a lot of travelling to 5 crabs islands. Tip 3. There seems to be a play of rubber duckies to be found in caves, wrecks and up high on anything. I currently have 7.

my tip is that you can put a bed almost anywhere on the home island i have one on the floor of the workshop next to the steps, you can also place hammocks anywhere to and can use them as beds around the island as well so if your worried about only sleeping in your house to get thru the night dont, no one will judge your sleeping spots... well except maybe pokee also you can get rusty tanks from ruined balloon stands randomly (0-3) per cart

I think you can have 11 townies other than the 2 mandatory ones at the moment if you don't give one of the townies a house. That's currently my situation - picked up Buck earlier in my playthrough and literally right after I gave him a tent, he acted like a bully. Welp, no house for you, buddy! I get to my 11th townie (Lesley), she chose a house, and after a storm I looked around for more shipwrecked critters and found none seem to be spawning anymore. EDIT: So I think I was just glitched lol. The places I checked before posting this didn't have anyone, but when I got back to town there were two random Critters floating in mid air where the tourist ship docks. Checked another island and found another shipwrecked person. Also, Buck is eyeing a new house. There may have been an update that added new homes since this video. Anyways awesome tips. Was confused as to how to get a sea veggie farm going and this put me on the right path. +1 sub

@Buckeye Bunny I chose the house to the left of Renard's shop. It's even closer to the Workshop and Renard's too. But also, because at the time I thought I would have access to the deck on the roof. Maybe in a future update? Maybe home expansions?? One thing that's not in the game, that I wish was in the game is the names above the critters' heads! It's an absolute nightmare trying to complete a commission on time just because you can't find the critter you're looking for to turn it in to. Add to that the frustration of looking for them on the map when their pictures overlap each other so that there could be a bunch of critters in any given area at any time but on the map, you'll only see the picture of the one on top. All the others would be hidden by their picture. It's like when a critter disappears from the island completely when you look at the map but you know they're on the island somewhere.
I know I found some in the caves underneath Boomerang Island ( I think that's the one ) and also around some shipwrecks like the one north of the main island.
You can craft a campfire from your pockets using sticks and stones from your inventory. The tent is crafted using sticks and cloth (and to make the cloth, you do need a loom machine in your workshop).
I've only played a bit on the Deck (because I like my big monitor, lol), but there are many people in their Discord who play Critter Cove on Steam Deck exclusively. It's not yet verified, but it should be fine. 😊
You cant evict them? I got a computer critter called reboot and even tho i love his name i dont like him at all. I want him out ;/ and no i could not deny him to live on critter Cove
Not yet, but the devs said this feature is coming in future updates. I have a couple I want to kick out too (cough cough...POKEE!!). 🤣 So you could revert to an older save file if you REALLY want to give Reboot the boot. 😊
